it will not happen, bitcoin will remain number one. while the position of ethereum is after bitcoin. ethereum continues to grow even jumped too fast. and I think ethereum has a pretty high potential and this is good news for holders of ethereum. but I still believe that bitcoin will be number one.
Not in the next couple of years. It has a potential, yes, but know BTC rules like a king (of the hill), and we won't see ETH taking his greatseat any time soon.
Bitcoin is the first coin that appears and has a lot of confidence, I think it is very difficult to change the position of Bitcoin above.
Ethereum has good potential in the future and is now growing rapidly but if you want to take over BTC takes a very long time.
The biggest coins of the crypto market are ethereum and bitcoin. I think eth is more stable and reliable. but it is not possible that the price of eth is higher than the price of bitcoin in the near future. I think this is a bit of a dream.

We can never can tell, maybe its possible that ethereum may overtake btc but not now nor next year, despite of being the second in cryptocurrency world,still, Bitcoin already established and proved that they are the number 1 cryptocurrency so its still hard to replace its rank.
ETH has always convinced me. both in terms of project and trust. I think that I will chase the ETH Summit while I have lost BTC recently, and I do my investments in this framework. 
Well it could be happen anytime but I think it won't happen this year. Ethereum still have long journey to reach the number one and bitcoin still have many followers and peoples new tend to invest in bitcoin.

I think you are too exaggerated in issuing an opinion that Ethereum overtook Bitcoin. Ethereum will not overtake bitcoin because bitcoin will always be number 1. but for investment I think Ethereum is good, because ETH does a lot of ICO.
It's hard to say ETH will overtake Bitcoin, Bitcoin has bee known and used all over the world. ETH will follow as well, but it will not be as good as Bitcoin
Yes, it is true that ethereum is not possible to overtake bitcoin, because bitcoin has worldwide so many people want to have bitcoin. And to overtake bitcoin then ethereum takes a long time to be able to stand on it. In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. eth need more years to overcome btc.. but they surely increase drastically..
It is not possible presently, But now a days ETH is batter investment than BTC. Ethereum is attracting good investment and showing strength around $400.
in my opinion, Ethereum will not be able to overtake Bitcoin because Ethereum is still limited to certain supply, let alone the popularity of bitcoin higher than altcoin and bitcoin price is more expensive than ethereum price.
Ethereum is a very strong, favorable and promising currency, but Bitcoin will still be the king of crypto currency. I think no one can beat it even ethereum or any other coin.
Actual bitcoin as talking will always have more confidence compared to other coins and ETH in particular. This belief will continue to build more investors and crypto fans to support bitcoin that leads to the final investment into bitcoin.
We all know that Ethereum is the digital currency sitting next to bitcoin. But in the case of Ethereum overtaking bitcoin is a very daunting task for Ethereum. Maybe if bitcoin is no longer existing, then maybe it's time for Ethereum to take and carry the torch once bitcoin holds.
