Just like what other said, Ethereum cannot overtake Bitcoin. Bitcoin have many advantages and it is the mother of all coins and Ethereum will just stays no. 2 behind Bitcoin.
No this is not true news because there are so many coins or all coins value decreases most of time or bitcoin is only coin which is most important coin which value increases day by day and give more profit.
In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency. I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are two good coins and a lot of devotees. so both of them could make me confused to choose it. but recently I got a reference to choose Ethereum.
Many of us already know the current situation in the crypto market nowadays, all altcoins or crypto currencies out there are really bleeding out on their market value today and I'm sure many of those crypto currencies out there will just be turned to garbage and abandoned by its development team. Ethereum on the other hand suffers also just like bitcoin and all the other crypto currencies out there so I really think that Ethereum is still not yet ready to overtake bitcoin as of this very moment.

Think you are wrong. Bitcoin take most part of market, you see, just like a King. Ant Ethereum - Queen. Yes, most ICOs used ETH and gives popularity to him but it's didn't gives only second part on market
Both currency competing to be the best coin ever, but i hope so that it could overtake to bitcoins, it means more profit for us. On that note, i still support both currency because it has a nice platform eversince, and everybody are making profit on it.

I think it has a chance that ethereum will surpass bitcoin but I think it will take a long time. Because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and people started using it before other coins came in, so it can be said bitcoin has become the heart of other digital money. I think this year are this is not gonna happen
In my opinion, the ether has a great future,it has every chance to become a leader in the cryptocurrency market 
In my opinion Bitcoin are popular and has good demand also people have more trust in Bitcoins than has in Ethereum. ETH will not be good as Bitcoin.I am completely in favour with the ETH as good investment but it always come after the BTC.I think BTC as the number one cryptocurrency.
It is quite next to impossible that Ethereum will over take Bitcoin. I don’t think Ethereum will take over Bitcoin even though Ethereum is the backbone of all the altcoins, but Bitcoin is Bitcoin with dominance. The market capital of Bitcoin is higher as well. I think BTC will maintain its dominance.
In the crypto world, nothing is impossible, Ethereum development is very rapid and much sought after by society, I think Ethereum can catch up with Bitcoin in the future.
I firmly believe that eth have so much potential and would greatly increase overtime. However, despite such ability, i don’t see itnas able to overtake bitcoin. As eth increases, so does bitcoin although, there is a slight chance but it is minimal and it will absolutely take so much time for it to be able to catch up with bitcoin.

I think that this is a very possible scenario. The price of bitcoin, as we all can see, is now very low. This year the ethereum project has many updates. This can have a very good effect.
In my opinion, Ethereum will not overtake bitcoin in the near future. Firstly, bitcoin has a very limited supply compared to ethereum. Secondly, ethereum still needs a killer dapp which can bring in more attention.

Ethereum grew up from 7$ in January to 800$ in December last year. It it continues, Ethereum will able to overtake Bitcoin. But I'm afraid this year will not be so significant growth after the last explosion of Ethereum
Overtaking bitcoin is a little bit impossible for me before ETH can overtake bitcoin he needs to pass BCH before he pass bitcoin. Since prices are always slow moving and sometimes they are on the red it is hards for every coin to overtake one another specially whebn the price of a coin is too low and the coin that need to overtaken is too high.
Ethereum might be the second most popular coin with a large market cap, but it doesn't mean that it will over take BTC, most people have embraced and are using bitcoins and its just a matter of time before its fully incorporated,. the market cap BTC commands cant be closed down that easily eithe, ETH still has along way to go
Ehereum is a good coin with huge growth potential, but its only the second most popular coz the ICO projects are using its platform to launch. i dont see it overtaking BTC anytime soon.
I do not think so. The value of bitcoin will not fall so much that another cryptocurrency could defeat it.
