Although bitcoin is better at storing value than Ethereum, at least for now, Ether has quickly become a preferred method for transferring wealth to and from people and entities. Ethereum is second popular digital currency in crypto, actually success of any currency behind a competitive team and luckily ethereum have which prov to that they have done.While to overcome Bitcoin need more home work, more effort and work in to create awareness of ethereum because less people know about ethereum.
I honestly believe that one day it will overtake bitcoin but not for a long time.
As for me, BTC has always been first. Never has another cryptocurrency overtook it. BTC will always be number one. Given that BTC is the pioneer of cryptocurrency and without it, all the others would've never existed. ETH is a promising coin, given that most of the icos r launched under its platform but that won't mean that's enough to overtake the place of BTC i think.
iF ETH is traded in all major BTC pairs then eth will get fair chances to become a direct competitor for Btc

This is unlikely to happen, I think that none of the altcoys can do anything more than bitcoin. Because it was bitcoin who brought people the blockchain, I think that therefore bitcoin will always be the first, until they come up with nothing more convenient than blockchain

It's not realy, because Ether was invented already after bitcoin, now it's not able to compare with the price and capitalization of Bitcoin, because it is twice as large and ETH was created for slightly different purposes than bitcoin.

I don't think that Etherium will ever manage to bitcoin as cryptocurrency No. 1 because all of us know that the Bitcoin has much more users and investors in comparison with Etherium which is younger. Always was in all news that the bitcoin is on continuous increase in its market value, despite some time when its market value falls.
