Hello
I received my firsts GTX 1070 and I can't make them work with ethminer

I am runing the same miner compiled for the GTX 970, do i need to compile it again?, i am using cuda 7.5.
I only ugraded the driver to support the card, and nvidia-smi sees it.
os is xubuntu 14.04 x64.
any idea what i am doing wrong? is CUDA 8 required to work with this driver?

I have two 750Ti rigs just standing and collecting dust since months back.
Is it worth start mining ETC with them ?

Anyone know what hashrate i could expect at this point ?

THE 750ti HAS KNOWN PROBLEMS--

There are better coins to mine with a 750ti,, look at Decred, SiaCoin, or Library Credits.  None of the Dagger-Hashimoto coins has a DAG file small enough to be efficiently mined by a 2GB 750ti, it will mine at 4-5 MH/s.  If the DAG file were smaller, it would mine at about 8MH/s, as it performed early after the release of ETH.  The way memory is addressed by the 750ti is a problem.

If you want to mine ETH at 50% or less efficiency, you can.  You would have less than 10MH/s hashrate for the two cards combined, which barely registers at a pool.  But each card will maintain about 50MH/s on the "lbry" algo (LBC), and use very little energy, and produce a chunk of Library Coin every day.  It is possible to find a 4GB 750ti, but you are better off with a GTX 950 or 960. or an AMD R7 265 or HD 7850.  An AMD HD 7850/R7 265, considered to be in the same league as a 750ti, gets 10MH/s or better on ETH or ETC.       --scryptr

You can also mine a Dagger coin with a smaller blockchain... Like Expanse. >>

how to get 1.1.8  Grin Grin Grin

GENOIL HAS SAID THE NEXT VERSION IS 1.2--

Although LeChuckDe has forked the project and produced his own version 1.1.8.  I do not believe that LeChuckDe has made a public release, though.  And, Genoill said that his next release will likely be in August.       --scryptr

correct, will not be published.
Works only at HD7850, other pitcarn based cards not working like expected, seg. faults etc.
At moment trying to reproduce the hashingpower-boost on other cards. but seems that every card needs own kernel and not kernelfamillie...
Got next weeks some Pitcarn Cards for testing(4 different) if it only a problem between my hd7850 and hd7870 and other pitcarn works.
i would release a proof of work client only for linux. Windows drivermanagment is crap and produce more problems then solve ...

The fluctuation is caused by the way hashrate is calculated. Observe the image below.

http://i.snag.gy/ijelJ.jpg

The bar with squares represents your GPU miner thread. Each square is a GPU kernel run. Within each run it calculates --cl-global-work * --cl-local-work hashes (i.e 64 * 65536 = 4194304). The yellow bar represents the the getWork thread, which fetches new mining jobs from geth or pool and also displays hashrate. Most of the time it is a sleeping thread, with a period of --farm-recheck (default 500ms). So once in 500ms, it checks the amount of hashes the miner thread has done. But the miner thread only updates its total after having completed its batch. So the red squares aren't counted. In the sketch I quickly drafted there's only one interval with 3 runs and the rest with 4, but I hope you get the idea.

You can get a more stable hashrate figure by increasing the value of --farm-recheck (i.e. 3000), but don't do this if you're using getwork (-F flag), because then you'll also only get new jobs every 3 seconds. With the stratum miner it doesn't matter, it gets work pushed towards the miners in a separate thread. Another option is lowering --cl-global-work, but that leads to more CPU overhead, which is also not what you want.

I'm mining with GTX 1070s and the rig ran fine for a couple of weeks and now I receive this error randomly. I can't ctrl+c out of it as I just see [^C displayed on the screen so I have to hard reboot. Running Linux Ubuntu 14.04 server with a self compiled version of 1.1.7 with DCOMPUTE=6.1. (No compile errors) I wanted to build an older version to see if it may be an issue with my compiled version, but new to Linux/Github and not sure how to clone a previous release. Any help is appreciated.

I am haivng massive problems with mining with this miner currently. I am getting problem on dag loading and after dag it will load it really fast and stops at 94% crashes my system. Computer will freeze up and have to power down and back up. What is the cause to this? I tried to use -L sequential  but miner just exits and closes. Has this command changed to load in for AMD gpus?

Next problem if I get past it loading DAG file it will run fine for a number of days and then system will freeze up and lock up and crash no blue screen or anything have to power cycel reboot to get back on. Cards in system are on default clocks. Any idea what the cause to both these problems are?

Using windows 7 with latest drivers,

Use -U instead of -G for nvidia

on cuda -U

1 x Gtx 770 16 Mh/s

On opencl -G

1 x Gtx 770 11 Mh/s
