We are having some luck getting the blockchain moving again. Thankfully someone holding EVENT had been online and staking when the seed node was disabled so we have a great reference point to work with. The node to which the rest of us are syncing right now says it has 10 connections. So if you are one of those 10 connections, please be advised that you should not send coins to or withdraw coins from your wallet and/or Bittrex at this time unless you wish to do so as a test. Once we get a solid group of clients synced up to the same point and blocks are moving again, we will post details how to connect and will also ensure that Bittrex is on the same fork.
There is a small group of us working on this using a Slack team that I have created to facilitate this takeover.

Yes, a seed node is needed. This is one of the things currently under negotiations.

I don't have a .conf file with nodes for EVENT. I never needed one. Having troubles syncing? If so, it's probably due to less wallets online staking with withering faith in the dev team, sadly.
I'm pretty sure the dev has taken off. I think their real world identity was/is known. Would be good to hear some news
Yeah, sad days is right. Seems the whole network is down as well, my wallet has no connections whatsoever. Can't even get my event onto bittrex to dump!

Dude, are you on drugs? The dev is studio1 and he's disappeared. We're all pissed off, impatient, and holding bags. Is this coin going to pump....NO, I'm sorry to say it doesn't look that way.
If you want to know the plans for this coin it won't be too difficult to find Dean Hannan's phone number doing a simple Whois search of the event token domain. Call him and ask him yourself! Let us know what he says.
It's sad he disappeared, but he did say this will not be a pump and dump, so maybe they are still working. I dunno, but I've already kissed my btc goodbye.
