I see a lot of people endlessly repeating that prices have gone up, for example:

10 years ago, one could live comfortably, everything was actually value low and things were very affordable for the common man but currently, I don't think so due to inflation.

Inflation has the upper hand. The amount it’ll cost you to purchase something about 10 years ago isn’t the same as what it will cost today.

And we don't talk about the salary increases during these 10 years? The 2010-20 period was low inflation, and from COVID in 2020 it was exacerbated, but what usually happens with inflation is that not only do prices go up, salaries also go up. What happens is that they tend to rise after prices and not in all cases compensate for the rise in the cost of living, so today everything is more expensive, but let's not just talk about inflation as if it were the only thing that happens.

Now to keep spending most people are pulling savings, or worse, going into debt, which is one of the worst things you can do for your finances going into debt to pay for consumption, like going on vacation. A few have jobs that have raised their salaries above inflation or have found ways to beat it with other income sources.

Salaries go up as well, but do they go up in the same ratio that the prices of other items have gone up? I don’t know so I’m asking. If you say they are going up at the same rate then it shouldn’t be that people say the cost of living is getting high because the increase in salaries would be felt. But I don’t see the salaries matching up the rate/increase of prices.

The cost of things has gone up so much so that it's glaring. Imagine paying 5-12$ for an average meal you could get before for 3$. The jump cost is extremely high. Cooking a meal at home can cost you the same amount you would spend on eating in a restaurant. Funny enough people still afford all these things without complaining. My anger is that we make money to spend it all into our normal life expenses. It's difficult now to save or invest unless you part of the rich people in society. An average man has to just eat, pay bills, and survive.

to get out of there, level up your skills, look for a side job, save 80% of your salary to invest and reduce useless expenses, avoid debt because if we just work and the money just runs out then we will work forever

One stream of income is obviously not enough to cater for our needs and that of our loved ones (if any). This is not the time to stay idle complaining when we should be making money.

Make money from every good Opportunity you have so you can meet up with the high cost of living.
Those who have special talents can start now to monetize their talents
You have an empty room in your apartment? let it out and receive rents for it.
Is there a fertile land in your yard, begin to cultivate some of the food you consume.
You have a special knowledge? Teach people for a fee.
You have a useful equipment lying idle? Lease it out.
Utilise every opportunity at your disposal,  acquire skills,  do not  give room for idleness because the world's economy is in a deep mess right now.

Not surprised at all. People always wanted nice things and the Internet only made them more envious and greedy because now they can show off things they can't afford and other people get angry thinking social media is for real.

We're in a death spiral of spending that works like this:
Someone knows he can't afford a new car, so he leases one. Puts it all over his social media to show that he's doing well financially. All his friends, especially those who are doing a bit worse, think they're doing much much worse, because he was supposed to be making x thousand a year and bought a car worth more than twice his yearly wage.
They can't sleep at night, their wives make them feel miserable by talking about that car, they finally decide to get a loan and buy a new car that they don't really need, but want to look like they're successful. They don't want to be the poorest working man in the group.

People will keep spending and they will keep buying things they don't need. I've done that myself. I knew it's a waste of money but I did it anyway to feel how it is to own this or that. Life is short, you can't be saving up until you're 60. Technically you can, but you'll have a lot of regrets in the end.

What is said is not as easy as in reality sir, adding skills randomly is also not something that can be based on current income needs, meaning that it must be clear where we are going and how we can do it in the future, because adding skills takes enough time to learn until you have the standard ability.
But for the time being I think the solution is to reduce living costs, such as buying enough food and switching to cheaper ones, because in my opinion it is quite impossible if the price of buying goods is the same as what we buy in restaurants, meaning there are no cooking costs and facilities, cooking yourself is usually much cheaper.

On the other hand, it is necessary to see what abilities we have and what potential resources in ourselves and the environment can be utilized and can be worked on so that it can be made into another source of income, which is much easier than adding new skills that require relatively long time and training.

That's how the economy of the world has turned us to be working and hustling for food to eat, pay bills, and survive without building or having a substantial project to our name.

At times I begin to imagine whether are we created to only live just to eat and pay bills without enjoying the good things of life. It's quite funny if we are to live in that way and our stay on earth ends there without pointing out a successive project or investment we can hand over to our kids. However, there is more to life than just living to eat, and pay bills. And if the case of our living is to be so, we should develop a strategy that will help us live above such limits of eating, and paying bills.

I think this time calls for each of us to be investing in crypto or have a leveraged business that will be giving a daily income.

This is the result of the old-world money system known as fiat (dollars, euro and so on...). If Bitcoin was the only currency in the world then things would look completely different, because no government could manipulate or de-value money by infinitely printing more.

The future is Bitcoin.

Those who are wealthy have already saved their large sum in investment so therefore they are enjoying their life by eating and dressing because all of the income amount cannot be used for investment purpose. Those who are middle class people are just living their life by completing their needs only while they avoid all their wishes due to limited amount of money.

If someone is spending huge money by eating in restaurants then they can save such amount by eating a healthy diet at home so their health will be better and also they can invest in something if they wants. Spending can be reduces by reducing unnecessary activities but if you are continuously spending without thinking about future then you will regret during inflation.

It's more of a race between the hard working middle class person who is striving to break the barrier of middle class but unable to do the same due the ever increasing inflation and things being over priced though earning good amount it doesn't leave him/her to save or invest much against someone who ancestors were once middle class but were lucky enough to break the stigma and became wealthy and their kids or linage don't have to think much before spending carelessly.

The problem is unequal distribution of wealth but wealthy elite don't agree with this.

The price of commodities are increasing everyday,  and these are the basic things people can't do without on a daily basis,  people will definitely spend money to eat food no matter how expensive it is . Because of the price of things are going up won't stop people from buying what they need. I think in this difficult time it seems people spend money more just because the price of things are very expensive and this won't stop people from affording what they want. One of the best way to survive in this season is for one to as much as possible to to create more sources of income, this will help people to provide for themselves what they want without considering how expensive the price of things are .
That should be the best solution for this high inflation. However, only few people are open to that but majority are still lazy and would even prefer looking for high paying jobs even if they don’t qualify for the requirements, than just adding more sources of income to their current job. In the end, people suffer from extreme poverty.

People work just to survive, that’s the trend now. But isn’t it more desirable if people work to save and invest for their future, travel for leisure and fun, and buying all their needs as well as their wants. However, this is not what happening now. And the only way to change the current situation is to change mindset as well, and get more jobs that suit individual skills and abilities.

Absolutely. Focusing on a single job will not work anymore. Even if you are having a high paying job, but knowing the cost of commodities is also high, then you are just working to sustain your daily needs, without having extra for investment or even saving for emergency funds. If only a lot of people will realize this and focus on developing skills to gain side jobs, than just simply complaining and ask for salary increase, then most probably  people will not suffer from high inflation that resulted into the prices of all commodities, but will still live comfortably and even enjoy luxury things in life.

What choice do we have, right? If we don't buy the things we need or need, then how could we live?Yeah inflation is keeping on increasing and so do the products but we can't do about that we don't have any alternative on where to buy goods in cheap price, even we do it is hard to find, right now that this world is becoming more expensive its on us how will we survive how will we cope up in this messy world, so you can either go with the flow or leveled up, meaning if you will still have only one stable job and that's your only source of income then you are most likely making your living hard or tight, that's why I believe that having one stable job is not enough you can either have a side job, part time job or an investment in order to have extra income with that you can supply your needs and wants whenever you want. You don't have someone or something to rely on, so it's up to you how you will live.

It is understandable that inflation and rising costs can make living challenging. While you may not have control over the economy, we can take steps to improve our financial situation. Consider exploring options like part-time work, freelancing, or investing to increase your income. Building financial resilience can help you navigate economic challenges and achieve your goals.
see the inflation situation rising from daily basic prices soaring. feel there should be appropriate justice for society. but the government is reluctant to listen to this voice, factory workers are not keeping pace with rising inflation rates, making the weekly allocation of money a minus

saving 80% is too hard to do for someone who has a family to feed. but it would help if they are just saving for now to materialize a small business that sure will work. i have seen people who are growing chickens in their backyard and selling the eggs in the neighborhood already. it's quite effective for the couple I knew. it's a business that will also feed them which is very much a saver.

investing would be good if they have the knowledge like in crypto but regular people these days find it hard to learn new skills.  too much entertainment in their blood watching tiktok.

If needs are defined broadly, of course this will trigger various factors that make people still want to buy, even though the goods are expensive, of course if it is speculated on the economic situation of the community, of course it will be burdensome and become a real burden, We understand that expensive products are not a solution for the poor, but what can I say, the state of the product and the economy says so.

For example, food, as the OP said, actually many economically weak people complain about this, but with the expensive ingredients for food, of course the price of food must be adjusted to the price, so whether they like it or not, people still have to buy food, to cover their rumbling stomachs, even though it is expensive, in contrast to other products, for example cars, property, perhaps those who have a better economy can take advantage of all of it, Food is different because it is a primary need that must be fulfilled even though it is expensive, different from secondary food that can be obtained or not.
Poor people have no other thoughts than just being able to meet basic necessities for daily life. Difficult economic conditions are certainly felt by those of us who have a very weak economy, we are always looking for ways to get these goods, meaning that if we used to be able to buy a piece of bread, now we can get around it by just buying half of it.

With a tight economy, of course it is no longer possible to think about secondary materials, so now you can only think about primary ones while trying to work additionally to get more income.
For them, of course, they only think about the needs they need in a difficult economic situation, of course they have to really manage their income well so that they can meet their needs, because in difficult economic conditions we cannot manage the income we receive well. Of course, it will be very difficult to meet our needs.
Yes, of course we cannot think about secondary needs with difficult economic conditions and of course we have to think about primary needs and look for additional income to be able to meet our needs.

I don't think that currently there are no poor people who save because of all the poor people in this world there are definitely some of them who save in conditions like today. Likewise with rich people, perhaps not all of them are willing to save like poor people do, so this would not be feasible to generalize to everyone even though everyone feels the same condition now. And when everyone doesn't complain much about it in their own lives, I think that's also normal and not funny because it wouldn't be possible for everyone to have to endure hunger because of the increasing costs they have to pay for themselves.

to get out of there, level up your skills, look for a side job, save 80% of your salary to invest and reduce useless expenses, avoid debt because if we just work and the money just runs out then we will work forever
I actually agree more with what you say because everyone has to do this in order to increase their own income so that they can continue to carry out side jobs, including investing after saving for a while through their own salary. Because everyone will never be comfortable if they themselves do not get out of such a difficult zone by looking for a more appropriate solution and one of them is as you say. However, each of us must also know that improving skills and saving like that also takes a long time.

And thats reality and we dont have any choice but to deal with it. Even if you do want to complain but there's no way that you could really be able to avoid these circumstances but rather you would really be finding out yourself that finding up ways for you to survive specially if you are someone whose really that been that depending with your day job salary. Inflation would fuck us up imho.
This is why on the time that you are already aware that you've been struggling then you would really be definitely be making those budget plan and buying up things with expensive tags
would really be not on your main consideration or priority on which you would really be finding up those things on which you would really be seeing that it do functions
well but not really that breaking the bank.
that's true, with everything being expensive it's a possibility that it will happen but when it happens and we just complain then it's no use, of course we like it or not have to be able to accept it by looking for additional income because maybe that's the only way we have to follow the flow It's impossible for us to go against the direction, it's also impossible because to survive, of course we need basic needs that must be met, so if for example the price of feed rises, we have to be able to balance it well.

Managing income and expenses must be done whether market prices are low or rising, it's the same, because with good money management we will have good finances too, but the main thing is that we have to have a clear income, because otherwise what will happen is financial difficulties and of course that is not what we want, to be able to achieve financial freedom we have to be able to work hard. and it all depends on us, not anyone else.

This is so true, things are getting costlier, economy of some countries is getting worse, some even getting better, but people surviving and adjusting to the new price tags, in my country they say no matter anything we must survive, even when the price of a commodity will shoot to times three of its original price within days , but we still survive, we keep buying.

I mean we could clearly notice these high prices on every product in the market, I remember having around 10$ on a grocery and it feels like 10$ which is around 500Pesos here in my country is already a big deal, you could budget it somehow even though it was still a small amount of money but you could survive with it probably within a week with the right budgeting but right now it was just impossible your gonna need around 40$-100$ just to make it until next week.

The bottomline these things are just inevitable and there was really nothing that we can do about it, its inflation the government is just keeps in printing unlimited money, with that supply and demand of fiat money we could easily say that we are just slaves of this system, but country are being run by the government so there was nothing we can do completely to change this system.

The best thing that we can do about it is to adapt to it, we need to budget, learn how to manage our finances, be wise, have a financial foundation, have investments, etc. I understand that things are just over a price right now but if we are talking about needs there was no choice but to adapt to it , because its our basic need and we cant survive if we dont buy these things, but we could still do things to budget and go on some alternatives, I mean cooking at home on me do the trick, those restaurants just had a mark up around 300% of the food that you buy if you cook at home you have the choice of making it healthy and you could cook more than the serving on restaurants.

Were just gonna go back to investing and managing our finances, dont buy things that you could afford, have multiple income streams, have financial foundations, etc. It's not going to be easy for sure but we gonna need to do the hard work in order to survive, the world is cruel and not fair but we are living on it, we just doesnt have a choice so either do something about it, or stay poor.

It went from taking a week to disappearing instantly. Our economy is brutal: money is falling faster than we can keep up. In the end, are we accepting this financial storm? No choice. Yes, the government is producing money like it's going out of style, and we feel like puppets in a game rigged against us. Throwing our hands up? That benefits the system. Adaptation requires more than couponing and cutting corners. We must completely rethink how we earn, spend, and view money

The playbook includes investing, budgeting, and financial management. Realistically, it's more than survival. About flourishing. Drop the idea that we're barely surviving. We must work smarter and harder. Home cooking, avoiding unnecessary spending, and diversifying income are lifelines, not tips. Challenge the madness, not compromise. Stop buying unnecessary items and educate yourself on finances. We're not helpless in a terrible world
