Can somebody help me with GPU load trouble?

I have 8 x GTX1080 rig.

Miner shows anomaly with GPU1 performance. It can be some number in range 300-500 Sols/s and staying stable til next run of miner.
Meanwhile the Afretburner shows partial load of that GPU (in range 50-95%) that also stable til next run of miner.

What's wrong with my GPU or with miner and how to load it for 100% of power? Other GPUs working fine. Changing risers or PCI-e slots has no effect.

With ZEC, you don't have a 100% GPU load all the time, it consumes also less power. There is nothing wrong here.

why everytime i turn on my mine the resulting temperature keeps increasing and it can be over 80C?
where is the fault?

There are a lot of factors.
What card are you using? Is it OC'd? Did you increse GPU voltage? What fan %? How is the airflow of the rig/PC? What's the ambient temp? And so on...
I use asus gtx 1070, yes it's OC, I do not increase the voltage, the fan is on +1, it is very good and the temperature around is fine

not long, 2 minutes after turning on the temperature from 45 continue up to 80, and so on

No clue what you mean by "the fan is on +1" - it sounds like you set the fan to 1%, which is NOT going to cool the card at all.

What are you using for fan and OC control?

dstm's ZCash miner faster by 8 % !!!!  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.500

Can confirm. 8 rigs have been running 3 days now, only one crash and on very low OC settings it's about 6% faster.

Anyone else who has some positive results with this miner software?
Did you guys keep your overlcok settings or did you need to change them in order to use them with the dstm miner?

For my GTX 1070s (70%, +150, +600) dstm's miner gives ~ +7% sol/s vs ewbf's miner (subtract 2% dev fee from that); also ~4 watt less per card (125 vs 129). However after 2 freezes within 5 h I switched back to ewbf. I don't have time to play with dstm now, but it has potential.

Trying to run a .bat file after extracting the v0.3.4b miner and the miner.exe ends up deleting itself after 5 seconds. The cmd prompt opens and closes within 0.5s. Anyone else have this issue? I'm running windows 7.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. Antivirus related.

You probably have your fan profile as default, or the fan speeds set too low.

you are new to mining obviously, welcome !

Lol... you obviously did not read the link in my sig, or my post count here, or even have an idea of what I do on this site...

I've been around the bush.... more than once or twice.  I have been providing free public mining scripts for well over a year now.

I am commenting on an older release;  but still actively seen on pools (via pool stats reviews like zpool's).

Just use this as a minder:  never put a publicly available pre-compiled application run on any sensitive machine.  You never know whats really in it unless you review the code and compile yourself.

I have 4 of the MSI GTX Gamer 1070. Running at 450-460 sols each

Settings
65 TDP
+150 core
+500 memory

Been running like that for about 12 hours with no issues

Hmm interesting. I'm pulling 415-420 sols at 68 power draw.

I think my mem clock might be pushed too high and I'm not pushing the core clock as high as I could.

Understand different brands of cards have different 'starting points' on things like mem - I have a superclocked card, but sounds like I could get a touch more out of it without increasing the power consumption.

I started to have issues when I pushed my core clock from 150 to 175 and to 200, and I found out that there's no real difference in a mem clock of +400 and +600 with my 1070s, therefore we could say that pushing the max is not the best you can do, try to get the lowest OC with the highest hashrate, instead of a maximum overclock and the same hashrate.

Was using EWBF's miner and got 420sols @ 68% TDP

dstm's is getting ~452sols with same settings

Hmm, why so low hashrate you have?

My 1070 give me

dstm
AVG Hashrate 483 H/s
Power Usage 134 w
AVG Hash per watt 3.58 H/w
Accepted 5750
Rejected 30

EWBF
AVG Hashrate 469 H/s
Power Usage 137 w
AVG Hash per watt 3.42 H/w
Accepted 5170
Rejected 12

GPU 1923 MHz
MEM 4322 MHz
Vcore 0.912
PL 66% (but in fact power usage less than 60%)

I'm only drawing 118W. Summer is getting around here in Australia and lower TDP helps GPUs maintain lower temps.

I've got relatively pricey electricity. Curious what people have found as the sweet spot between sols and power consumption.

For example, I'm hitting about 400sols for a gtx 1070 at a power limit of about 68 percent. Getting the extra 50-60 something sols for 30 percent extra electricity consumption is not worth it for me.

Anyone getting a better balance?

For all of the 1070 models I've worked with, 110-120 watts seems to be the "knee" where sol/s starts dropping off fast with TDP limit.

This is going to VARY as a "percent" figure because the factory default TDP of 1070 models varies WIDELY - the lower-end ones like the FE and the Gigabyte ITX/Zotac Mini/MSI Aero Mini are 151 watts, many higher-end models are 180, and there is one MSI model with 2 power connectors and an official TDP of 240 watts (higher than most 1080 models and VERY VERY CLOSE to many 1080ti models).

"80% TDP" on a Zotac Mini is the SAME power level (give or take a fractional watt) as "50% TDP" on that MSI gaming model.

This issue also applies to GTX 1080 cards to some degree, and I believe there are GTX 1080ti cards that do not have the same default TDP as the FE cards do but I have not seen one to date.

Sweet spot on the GTX 1080 ti models I've worked with seems to be between 175 and 200 watts, very close to 4 sol/s in that entire range and doesn't start dropping off fast 'till somewhere a bit over 200 watts - but my sample size there is small, 2 "base" model Aorus and a Windforce.

haven't tested it extensively but im getting around 3.6sols/w on a strix oc 1080ti at 70% PL (around 190W). trying to get the most efficiency out of this card since power is expensive where i live.

Detection name:  Win32/Tilken.B!cl
Application version:   EWBF 0.3.0b

Was originally downloaded from this thread's mega link.

Just sharing my findings.

The troan was badly implemented; and broke the software after a short time.   I never really mined equihash much at all, so I didn't notice until I got a detection the other day.  The software worked ~3-4 months ago when it was a new current release.

I will continue to dissect the application and compare it to other versions.  Lets see what it was trying to do to us.

I can seal up a copy that I have to upload for inspection by others if they wish.

Seeing all the initial comments on page 1....   kinda not funny right now in my mind.

Do you have some optimized and stable miner for equihash or lyra2v2 to sell?. If so, pls. send me a p.m.
