I wish I knew, mate, if I could do any of my ideas with even just a bit of money to invest in someone, I would have been very poor. Unfortunately I am rich in ideas and poor in execution lol We can only dream or hope someone who can code makes a game so the virtual version at least can be played Wink

Well, we can surely do it in a simulation race but I thought you don't like Sim races, but we can be done your idea in the Sim race, and could possibly get some private bet on it, but surely Sim race equipment is not cut for people like us that won't likely have enough budget for that kind of thing, but I really wish your idea to be a reality for me it was a great idea indeed,

we got heavy rain in the second session today.

Before that RBR was not so dominating today with fast laps but they were ahead with race simulation.

It will be another easy win.

I have seen the Practice Run and it is not looking good for Red Bull at all, but as you have said there could be a downpour there really are a downpour on the track and it is not looking good for most teams especially for the Red Bull because this time Mercedes has been in domination right now both Mercedes this time, their upgrades have shown a potential threat for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez is not showing any improvement at all, while Ferrari and Aston Martin's Fernando Alonzo also got big leap in this Practice race aswell but still waiting for the Practice 3 and qualifying race result to happen to likely made a decision on the main race,

What a chaotic qualify we got.
Another disaster for Ferrari with Leclerc, the team did a mistake but also he messed up by cutting a turn and getting 2 laps "deleted".

Ferrari is competitive this week, it will have a great recovery.

Even though they have some mistakes in the 2nd Practice they still made a great final time than Max Verstappen a likely improvement for both Ferrari seeing Practice 3 and Qualifying just now I was late actually, Max Verstappen has gained momentum for Practice 3 and the Qualifier race, and his determination has not yet been destroyed by the 2 Mercedes, still Mercedes might come a great chance in the Podium, well Ferrari has some issues regarding the lack of decision making, and mistakes is always been made by the 2 Ferrari drivers while I was really Surprise by Nico Hulkenberg in the Qualifying race he snatch the 2nd position of the Qualifier from being in the last position on the start of the 1st practice to 2nd position in the Qualifying race, was really amazing,

Here is a video review of how the past Canadian grand prix went and which ones are considered the best for this man-made track on the river:

The Greatest Canadian Grand Prix Ever
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfG6H2eKdxs

Both 2007 & 2011 Canadian Grand Prix were referred to as the greatest races by Josh Revell the author of the video.
About Massa a viewer of the video above commented about him going against Kobayashi which looked to be a great dog fight on this wet track being so close to a major water way.
"An entire video could be made about Kobayashi vs Massa in that race. They fought each other for like 50 laps only for Massa to overtake him on the finish line (0.04s)"

A great video indeed, and in that video, it was truly a great race one of the Great Canadian Grand Prix ever Jenson Button has proven that it is never too late if you don't give up a piece of great advice for the narrator and truly Red Bull is dominating back then with Sebastian Vettel, and his partner Mark Webber but as you have said Kamui Kobayashi is a great prospect aswell that have shown great determination but Jenson Button was the real deal here despite seeing two Red Bull in front of him he never lose hope, and a funny thing that the Narrator have pinpoint here is the safety car and the rain that made this race one of the longest race ever recorded because of that Safety car,

Now Back to the latest F1 what are your thoughts on both the Mercedes getting into Podium again, or this time one of them will get the lead this time, or Max Verstappen still not showing all of his cards because it is just the Practice run, but maybe let's just wait for the other Practice run aswell as the qualifier going into the race I think even though Max Verstappen can get into the 3rd position he still got a great position to start in the race because he can likely go on going with the lead but still a great performance has shown by the Mercedes team, while both Ferrari is also showing good performance Carlos Sainz made it into the 3rd position Charles Leclerc on the 5th position while Fernando Alonso is on the 4th position, making Max Verstappen in the 6th position while Sergio Perez is likely down again but now to the 8th position, this may surely shift some of the fans and in my opinion it is looking more exciting now,

Since I don't really understand F1 very well, I can only follow the results, and it seems to me other than 1 race so far where starting grid is affecting, practice doesn't affect the overall podium chances. We have had upgrades before, we have had good performance in practice and still podium is more or less predictable. But you're right. Podium 2/3 is where we all hope for something different.
Actually, I am really new to the F1 race, I just get familiar with the Teams, Drivers, past and present updates, and race, right now every day is learning about F1 even the car mechanic and what car is the fastest could be determined with Practices, and qualifying, before the race, and for this I just tend to be updated with the latest news and even the past races can surely give you knowledge about the Track or Circuit changes and rebuild turn or curve, but there is no pressure to this it just adds up to the learning,

Well, Practice can pretty much determine the speed and the position a driver will likely have going to the Race, and to test a certain Track or Circuit and familiarize with it is a talent that some racers have and Max Verstappen has exceptional Skills like that,

Wow! Sebastian Vettel was young in that photo, even Fernando Alonzo is younger in the photo, such rare sight, and actually, I really don't know Felipe Massa but I look into it and he retired in 2016 end of the season, and he just like Massa, Mark Alan Webber also retired on 2016, the nice image I got to see the old photos and getting a glimpse of the past,

Well, if Slaman is not interested in browsing the old match in the F1 I suggest Watching the Documentaries of the past F1 races he can watch the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive episode series, if he likes it on a episode basis,

Practice 1 CANADA Grand Prix 2023

Session Suspension because of a technical problem due to the local CCTV infrastructure, Alpine Pierre Gasly got some car issues moments he left the pits but the most crucial one for the F1 Practice 1 session to be suspended was the technical problem with the Circuit CCTV System a crucial safety feature and because of it the Practice can not take place and the P1 has already suspended and it was a blow for all the teams especially the teams that have machine upgrades that want to test their latest upgrades to the tracks and Aston Martins and Williams have brought big upgrade was the teams that are hit by this incident and as P1 was Suspended P2 has to change its running time to 60 minutes to 90 minutes for teams and drivers a little more run time to be familiar with the Circuit and for the other teams to take that opportunity to try their upgrades,

Practice 2 CANADA Grand Prix 2023

There is a good sign for Lewis Hamilton coming to 2nd place that the Mercedes is closing the gap for the leader of this race, while the clouds have poured so much rain for the Ferrari to have a hard time with it and a crucial problem for Haas Nico Hulkenburg when white smoke appears behind his car, the 1st red flag for Practice 2 then a 2nd red flag when Esteban Ocon received a panicked radio to stop his car and with the result of Practice 2 it was a surprise for the 2 Mercedes hits the 1st place

Didn't say i watched the entire race. That would take a long time if anyone were to watch each and every single one since F1's inception and unnecessary as I pointed out earlier. I only watched the 2007 and 2011 and not completely either. There is a feature to play the highlights of each race from the console I am using.
So I spent maybe 15 minutes at most on both races. Wink
To answer your question about whether it rains or not. The race track was built on a lake so the track even if it starts to rain or not the asphalt will be slick.

Practice 1 starts in about 9 hours from now so can not wait for this race to begin.

Thanks for the recommendation but I don't really watch things either lol I know people hate me when I say sorry, no Twitter, no Youtube, no Netflix etc but trust me it's for my own good. After spending half day in office facing computer and doing nothing but typing, I would go home, and arriving home doing the exact same thing facing computer. And when travelling the same, facing screen. Sometimes even sleep a few hours because of addiction.

Now I only come online from work after my shift. Sometimes on my phone, forum, but I make sure it's not social media just things like this forum and news. And even football and sports, watch outside, must be with friends chatting, so I can't sit forever and get addicted.

To understand F1 a bit better you should watch the past races on these same tracks to know what to expect and to know how the weather plays a huge role in how these races play out.

Nobody got time for that lol. After watching those old races, now what would you say would happen if it rained or doesn't rain on this next race? I would like to bet and see? Smiley

Was watching two races on the track for the next one slated to be done in Canada this weekend.
Montreal track from 2007 and 2011.
Why the 2007 Canadian F1 Grand prix race you ask? It was a rather exciting race.
There was a major crash with one of the drivers injuring his leg but he was fine.
It was also where Lewis Hamilton won his first race on this very same track and it was his rookie year.

Being 22 years old at the time so it was special moment for F1 fans to recall with his parents even watching him side by side.

Why the 2011 Canadian F1 Grand prix as well?
Because this is where Sergio Perez got injured in the previous race, I think it was in Monaco, so couldn't race in this race so they had to use the team's backup driver instead.

For me, I will be looking forward to Practice 1 to 3 1st before concluding whether anybody going to the Podium, Right now it is really hard to look at who's going to the Podium now that the cars or the other teams Machines are already on an upgrade we can assume that any team in the Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes, even the Alpine can make it to the Podium, I really think the Podium who's going into the Podium on the 2nd and 3rd place is more exciting to predict than predicting the 1st place of the Podium because we all know that Max Verstappen is always Triumphant with that position,

Ya ok we all know it's RB and Verstappen so instead does anyone believe Leclerc can take 2nd place out of nowhere or are we just safer to pick Alonso/Hamilton or one of the usual suspects?

As much as I picked Verstappen on pole+win I feel like we need to see a surprise to keep this season exciting.

Really want to bet on outside podium, any tips?

Right now June 16, will be the Start of Practice 1 and Practice 2  June 17, will be Practice 3 and Qualifying, and June 18, is the Race, for sure there is a lot to talk about there could be many that could be bored with how Red Bull Max Verstappen is dominating the race every time but we need to know that this dominance is the level of every driver needs to attain to make it on top the Driver Brilliance, Skills, Talent, and technique added up to the Engineering Brilliance and how good the mechanical every team have, it is the effort of teamwork combined with the Driver and the Engineering team will surely be needed for the race,

No, he shouldn't choose his machine.

It will be one big race of maybe 10 races, all drivers use same machine on each race, but different machine for each track. Machine is only revealed on race day itself, practice they can race any machine they want Wink

Then another big race also of 10 times, but all constructors must use different driver.

Now isn't that a wonderful Fantasy F1 idea? Pure entertainment, one focused on the drivers, one focused on the machines.

No fighting for machines. No fighting for drivers Tongue

Yeah! you are right, they shouldn't pick their machines because they will surely be accustomed to it, well we can surely lay out the rules that we want for that race if Max Verstappen can still manage to be on top for this race in whatever machine he uses then truly that is surely Max Verstappen ability to race in an F1 and not because of his fast machine alone,

I surely want this kind of race to be in fruition this is just to see if a driver can manage to be accustomed to a machine he isn't really familiar with, for sure if Max Verstappen picks his machine he would likely pick the Mercedes W14, to have the resemblance of the RB19, but still a different machine to drive,

Great Idea Slaman surely I want to bet for that race and make this idea happen how can we do it?

We have finally seen the floor Red Bull's car as well indeed. However Verstappen didn't seem worried about anything and just said that they were going to use a completely different floor in a couple of races so there was no problem. But I don't see it that simple still. The rival teams should definitely do something about it after seeing the photo of the floor. Because there is a really huge gap to close for the rest of the teams. Red Bull have been a lot faster on straights than any team on the grid for example.

Even Ferrari's slightly better performance at corners isn't enough to catch up with a Red Bull car. Let's see if we will witness any big improvement from Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin teams in the near future.

A cool picture to see indeed well for the other teams this is a gold mine that they can manage to get and to catch up to the speed and performance of their can they need to copy the blueprint and much close resemblance for the RB19, well, if the Red Bull team would likely be using a different floor this means that they too are upgrading their Machines aswell, but maybe Verstappen might be bluffing in saying such things, but if you manage to see some video about it please share the link here, because I can't see any of Verstappen saying they are changing the floor of the RB19,

According to the odds it is looking like a clear cut victory for Verstappen as I believe the Red Bull cars are just well ahead of the rest interms of technological and strategy-wise to make any opposition for the remainder of the season.

This is true but the effort they put into cameras to just spy on the other team is massive.
Toto already said this is the 1st step they did and by the end of the year their car will be very similar to RBR.

About the underskin you are right but since the engines are very similar right now, the most effective this is aerodynamics.

I was shocked about the resemblance that the RB19 and the W14 floor, the Mercedes really wants to copy the RB19 for sure well who doesn't want a similar machine like the RB19, well now that the air is clear I think the Canada GP is on the horizon and we will now see a race this weekend, let's see if both Mercedes W14 podium winning was not a fluke or if they can manage to out speed Max Verstappen and you are right Aerodynamics will be a crucial factor for this race,

I think lMax Verstappen is the real deal driver I truly believe that even though I really like the Ferrari getting their way to the podium or winning this time, I guess we can not take away what Verstappen is really doing with all his winnings so far, even though Sergio Perez has the same RB19 machine Max Verstappen still gets in the top while Perez is likely making mistakes right now doing errors with the corners and his recent fiasco of getting red flag in the qualifying round, I don't really know what may happen to Sergio Perez and if he's going to get back for the Canada GP,

There could be a very similar approach in the copy of the RB19 and the W14 there could be similar but there is still a difference in the sense the design is pretty much unique to each team, and not just the side and the bulk wings of the car but the underneath of the car aswell and because we don't really see the underneath of the car for each team it is really a big mystery for some fan what is the look underneath, the pattern underneath and the way the airflow on the F1 floor but we got a glimpse of those F1 floors because the way they salvage the F1 when it crashes they lifted the cars up and some have taken a photo of the underneath of the RB19 or Sergio Perez on his latest crash and the underneath of the W14 aswell, here is the video explanation, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbddt51Cfg0

Or a separate tournament where all drivers use different cars for different races, or same car different drivers. Maybe time for a Fantasy F1 Wink

Actually, I more than agree with you and a tournament where a driver or racer gets to choose his own machine could be a good alternative for just using the machine with the teams I really like that idea, a What If? the situation where we could see different drivers, Drivin a different machine would be a great idea indeed,

or yeah a separate tournament exhibition race if they can call it when Drivers will scramble to pick a random number whoever gets to choose number 1 will pick his machine 1st, from the list of Alfa Romero, Aston Martin, McLaren, Williams, AlphaTauri, Ferrari, Mercedes, Alpine, Haas, and Red Bull, I think that is an exciting match, for sure,
