I think the plan of RB its pretty easy, if Ricciardo performs good on AlphaTauri what its left of the season he its gonna be again in RedBull for 2024 alongside Max Verstappen.

And its a wise decission, you gain a really good second driver, and one who knows the team and team knows him, also he tested all the year the last car, so.... win win.

In personal words, i like to see him coming back, Daniel its always a charmfull guy.
That is if he can pass the litmus test and outperform Yuki Tsunoda for the remaining races of the season.
Then he can shine infront of the Red Bull team and Helmut Marko will make the decision like he did with De Vries.

Now that I look at that video that was posted by @jakelyson a few weeks ago with Max and Yuki driving those big wheel trucks around, this could of been a sign by Red Bull & Alpha Tauri on things to come.
Who knows. Cheesy

I would prefer Ricciardo instead of Perez at Red Bull honestly. Because Ricciardo is a way more skilled driver than Perez. One can understand that even by comparing his time to Perez's time at Red Bull. Ricciardo was even able to bring the competition to Verstappen. If it weren't for some issues between the two drivers Ricciardo would have still stayed for a longer time period. I don't say that Perez is not skilled but I just started to think he is overrated. Because he makes simple mistakes quite often these days. He is even having big issues with qualifying for Q3. Red Bull doesn't have to watch his Trying to climb to top places from for example 15th place.
I think Red Bull would make use of a more consistent driver and I believe Ricciardo deserves a second chance.
I have certain doubts that Ricciardo was taken to Alfa Tauri in order to look at his preserved skills with the expectation of then raising him to Red Bull in case of a successful performance, although this cannot be ruled out if Ricciardo suddenly starts to enchant and constantly take the podiums to Alfa Tauri. But no, most likely Red Bull is more likely to bargain for time until the end of the season to decide on new candidates for a place in their two teams, because to be honest, De Vries just showed himself terribly, and Red Bull was always quick to deal with his losers who did not use the chance given to them.

Ricciardo will get his second chance but not directly for Red Bull but for Alpha Tauri instead.

Pretty surprising news for Nyck de Vries going out to make room for Daniel Ricciardo but during the British GP it was hinted by the big boss at Red Bull if he didn't improve he would be off the team for the next race.
And there you have it!
Sky Sports did report on this earlier today when they mentioned Daniel was doing practice runs with an F1 ahead of this next race:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE6s6kpesyE

They broke the news earlier than Sky Sports so they knew what was up being at the last race hearing about it:

That would be one of the best comeback stories for F1, but I don't think it would happen, it would cause great embarassment for both driver and the team if they did that. Let's see though Wink

I would likely want to see Sergio Perez stay on RedBull and I would likely him to leave at the same time, but I really don't really know what to feel about him he will always be just the 2nd driver for RedBull if he keeps on performing like this, there will never be a Sergio Perez as a top Driver for RedBull if Max Verstappen still exist in the RedBull team, I surely want to know what Sergio Perez is feeling right now if he is mad or envy about the Success of Verstappen, I will surely understand, but as you have said let's see Through on this,

Just like you, I am also hoping that the Belgium GP would finish with all Drivers safe and well if that Eau Rouge could like will never change then a safe drive for them in that corner because we only have a short time for the F1 officials for that corner to change, and Eau Rouge is still a beautiful corner that most drivers love and hate,

Let's just hope for the upcoming Belgium Grand Prix that will not turn messy but that was after the Hungary Grand Prix which is up next week July 21 - 23

HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX 2023

July 23 - RACE
July 22 - Qualifying and Practice 3
July 21 - Practice 1 and Practice 2

We still have 1 week before we could see this Hungarian Circuit, but right now I didn't notice the July 07-09 F1 Academy at Monza and I haven't noticed it because of so much busy with the other threads but it was a pretty much great win for the Spanish Driver Martha Garcia on Race 1, Swiss Driver Léna Bühler on Race 2, and The Filipina Driver Bianca Bustamante on Race 3 here is the result,

Hamilton not even close to the front, can't believe I thought he would do well, but who knows, the others in front can mess up and push him up a little.

I remember someone talking about Piastri last race and he starts in 3rd place. Maybe this time? Wink

For the Mercedes getting down again and getting beaten by the much-improved version of the McLaren I guess the Mercedes will need to upgrade again, but because of Hamilton's Driver instinct and he is surely a great driver reading the atmosphere when he could go through with racing a car in front of him he is likely to have that certain skill of reading the situations, but surely enough Lando Norris with his MCL60 chassis is much doing a great job in the Great Britain GP, and right now next one is Hungary is next I am truly excited for Mercedes and McLaren Progresses during this session,

I comment in another thread, but again, what a race, and what a juicy wins for the one who bet for McClaren in top 3 before the weekend started.

Really fun race, with a lot fo fights with like 10 cars between 2 position and 11/12. and also i can say Verstappen was ahead but not so far like in other races.

Nice! Seeing the F1 thread so lively well that upgrades from the McLaren team was truly awesome, well I think this is what Lando Norris has dreamed of and that is to make a statement that he is a great Driver, just like he said in his interview that if he could get his hands on a Red Bull car then he can surely perform well and I think the McLaren have already know the potential of this kid and the thing that we fans are dreaming of other teams will make it to Podium,

And it was a really fun race indeed those 10 cars were likely have upgrades in their Machine to have gotten on top with Red Bull,

McLaren is flying as we see recently and Norris is able to come one step forward thanks to this upgrade. He has such a great talent that I can't even imagine him driving a Red Bull car now. If Red Bull didn't have a policy to have a hierarchy between the drivers rather than their being seen as equal then I would have loved to watch a Verstappen - Norris challenge there.  Grin

Verstappen is also repeating himself about how talented Norris is. I hope McLaren can continue to improve more to consolidate its place in top places in the remaining races. Due to making a bad start McLaren is quite away from Ferrari in constructor standings. But we are only halfway through the season so it isn't impossible for them to climb at least one position in the standings until the end of the season.

Both Max Verstappen and Lando Norris are F1 Simulator drivers so there I think they are ahead if they would check a new track or ahead every race in practicing a new track for F1 or other, well Lando Norris is surely a shining knight for McLaren and even though they haven't had much time in competing with Ferrari in terms of mechanic I think they have proven this time that they can also improve, for McLaren it is one step at the time they can surely do it,

Lando, Lando, Lando, What did I say about Lando Norris for me he is full of more surprises than Oscar Piastri, but both McLaren had a great performance in this British GP, and just like you I truly enjoy the race so much and we are now seeing who really was the best driver in the year 2023, for me even though he got the RB19 hid driving skill is pretty much superb, while McLaren upgrades have put them in the edge against Verstappen, for me there is no Red Bull anymore there is only Verstappen the driver  skill is really what is keeping the Dutch driver on the top, while the machine in on the 6th place on Sergio Perez, and due to the upgrades of the other teams they already making a progress and defeating the machine of Red Bull, but they can not defeat the driving skill of Max Verstappen, for me if Verstappen's going to drive other machines then let's see if he's going to still win the race, because if he did then it is proven that all other racers can not defeat Max Verstappen, a genuis is on display with his craft,

Have to say that's one of the biggest assessments that I didn't even take in until it actually was bruoght up here. This tells me to listen more and more to gut feelings that home crowd support is really important in F1. The only thing is I got burned after Monaco and thought it wasn't going to be the British day, and went to put Hamilton in 4th instead of podium. Big moment also for Stroll who completely missed out I think he has to assess his pace and competitiveness now.

Verstappen is a genius, are we all willing to accept this now Smiley
He is and he wouldn't be there if it wasn't right? That 11th in a row win is something of a feat for sure. You definitely know how much the RB has an advantage. I don't think they would want to change cars for sure. Lol.

Most drivers love Eau Rouge corner, but nature of this turn makes it very dangerous. Main problem that if accident happens, cars jump back to track from wall. And drivers behind who go uphill can't see what happened ahead and they don't have enough time to react and avoid car that jumped back on track. After fatal crash of Anthoine Hubert not enough things were done to avoid such accidents in future and Spa took life of another yong driver.
There is also responsibilty on organizers. It wasn't wise decision to let racing on heavy rain without much visibility, especially considering that there was over 30 cars on track with young drivers without much experience behind the wheel.
It was a really dangerous track and do you think they need to change the track position as the F1 will be having a race there prior in just 3 weeks' time we will now be in Belgium seeing this SPA Circuit again is a crucial thing that might happen in F1 do the track needs to be changed or can they change the track in a given short time, or will the F1 agrees to the change or sometimes the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps would agree to this changes, there is a lot of things that need to look for but for the safety of the Drivers I think they could all agree to it,
I am not personally against anything that supports more security and safety for the drivers. These are the guys that uses a car that goes 300+ km per hour, that's as fast as it gets but the difference is that they are also using one that could slip out any second, if you are not careful then traction could be gone in a milisecond and everything will be terrible after that, we still have death in this sport and we should be careful about every possible thing if we can hopefully.

These cars go from 300+ to under 80 in less than half a second, with just one brake, and that's why it's very dangerous. So if that corner has to be fixed then it has to be fixed, I do not care how traditional it was, if it's a risk then it should be removed to save more lives.

What a race! Finally a race that pumped me! If Piastri would have chose to keep the left side on start , I think he would have been on first place by the first apex but even without that , what a superb driving from him and sometimes I forget that he is a rookie for this year. Then we had Norris who put up a great fight against Max but once again , nothing can beat that RedBull but at least this time , they didn't pull out a big margin in seconds between 1st and 2nd place.

Then out of nowhere we have a podium for Hamilton who had luck with that safety car and with Piastri pitting with 2 laps before SC arrived... .
Next stop : SPA <3 the legendary track.
The next race is at Hungaroring for the Hungarian Grand Prix and then we head to SPA for the Belgian Grand Prix.

We are half way through the F1 season with the two tracks being removed before it began so we have less than next year since they have added some more venues announced around a week ago.

I dont like this change of livery in Mcclaren, some of them are horrible, and made it only for the power of money. The only good one was the gulf, because it remember to a the great past one.
I expect Mercedes making a good race in his "home" race. The past year Russel was very unlucky in that start.
Actually, I like the Chrome look of the McLaren and for me, it blended well with the color of the car watching the qualifying the 2 McLaren ended up in the 2nd and 3rd positions Lando Norris was 2nd next to Verstappen and then Oscar Piastri I really think the Livery was not the only change for McLaren their performance aswell and for this to happen I really think the 2 Drivers of McLaren now has a grip on their upgrades for me it was fun to watch having not only Ferrari but the McLaren aswell, having a good grip in getting into the position they are right now.

For me personally, it was a slick Chrome look and the color of McLaren does blend with the silvery detail on the car I really wish this Livery Chrome detail will stay for McLaren, and on the latest performance of McLaren in the qualifying round of the British GP they have proven not only with the look but with the results their upgrades for the race that is ahead,

@owengtam09 Don't you think it was the new chrome livery that had the McLaren's take top 4 in the race today?
Joking aside, those upgrades very much made the difference today and the team calls for their strategies on tyre changes and pitstops that had them top over Mercedes from what Hamilton even mentioned during his post race interview.
He was surprised how they improved since the previous races from the beginning of the season.

I knew Norris would do well and start at the front row but didn't imagine he would of held it and would of ended up on the podium by the end of the race.
Well done McLaren and even Albion for getting P8. I was shocked with Ferrari's performance at being in the last spots of the top 10.

Eau Rouge is really an amazing corner and Fernando Alonzo also has a video saying that he loves returning back to Belgium for this Track but surely that corner Eau Rouge is really a deceptive corner that many drivers are not aware that they will go in a Corner that may have lead to their demise, I was really sad about the Sudden faith of those young drivers but accidents really happen in every corner of this track and every Circuit in the calendar, it is really inevitable if it falls down upon you, we surely can not say for sure but let's just wait for F1 to be on Belgium well it is really a beautiful track but it not cautious there might be a sudden thing that could likely happen,

Yup! Thanks for the heads up it was really the same crash as the Dilano Vant Hoff and the Anthoine Hubert crash they are going in the Eau Rouge an up-and-down corner that has a fatal consequence just passing there, I think the Officials would need to see this and look for better angles to change up some features of this corner to make it safer for drivers passing it I am really tense right now because for the weeks to come F1 will be on the British GP well maybe on July 28,

I was also surprised about the McLaren's performance both McLaren are doing great and surely Lando Norris had a close call to win this race, that fierce combat with Max Verstappen has proven that he is also a talented driver he also drives with the simulation race and he also got his youtube channel that uploads his improvement and life in it, for sure he is a great face on F1 just like Max Verstappen, for me these two is the best there is in their generation,

Lewis Hamilton was just really lucky to be at the Podium it should be the 2 Mclaren that are side by side on the podium but surely he also got great combat for the position with Lando Norris which makes this race more exciting,

This was really good result from Mercedes and Mclaren and I expected Hamilton to be in podium, but it was big surprise for me to see Lando Norris in second place.
Verstappen is still domination like usual this season, and and RedBull team is still in first place, but things are getting really interesting for second and third places.
I think some teams made great improvement that should be seen in next races again, maybe in Hungary next in famous Hungaroring.
Nobody can take down Verstappen from first place but Perez is not safe at all.

So some news if anyone likes Ricciardo, he's back for British GP already Smiley Reserve of course so testing, for another old name back Smiley

And at the same time 2024 schedule is announced. More sustainable so more races in a single region hence starting at Bahrain and ending at Abu Dhabi. GREAT idea thinking of the logistics problems this season!!

If Sergio Perez keeps on doing this qualifying fiasco and right now he isn't doing fine in the British tracks so far there is no improvement if he doesn't land the podium for the Race then maybe Ricciardo could change Sergio Perez for good, but let's see if the management could throw Sergio Perez away, and if Daniel Ricciardo had a decent performance than him,

That would be one of the best comeback stories for F1, but I don't think it would happen, it would cause great embarassment for both driver and the team if they did that. Let's see though Wink
