Depends on where you live, I do not know where you are from but if you are from an Asian or African or middle eastern nation, then things start to be harder. If you live in Europe, then your friends getting it is understandable, or if it's not just tourism and something else, like education or business, then it's easier that way as well.

But, when we are talking about having a situation where you end up working towards being just a tourist, those places are harder. We are going to end up seeing if it's going to be an issue or not, USA visa is one of the hardest ones to get for some of the nations and we are going to see even here people trying, some will go, some won't be able to go, and they will probably all write here.

Not just from Mexico alone, people from across the world will flock towards a certain continent and with a reason, but we cannot deny that there might be some people who are taking this as an advantage where watching the FIFA wasn't the reason why they are flying towards Northern America. They want to migrate legally to illegally when their supposed stay are over, but that will not be a reason for them to go back and face the reality because their first reason why they chose to fly under the guise is because of the opportunity that they can have in these countries as the options for them is not the same if they will go back.

Compared to some other countries in the world, America got harder rules for the people who come to this country and take a visa but still, if you follow the rules they made and you don't have problems in your country with America this can be even easier to take a visa. But still for some people in some countries that's a bit hard to take a visa because of the bad relationship between their country and America.

I don't think it is difficult to get tourist visa for US as for Canada I don't know.In here many of my friends have already gotten a tourist visa for 2 years,not for the World Cup but to enjoy traveling and seeing US,once they have done so they can apply again and it will be far more easy the next time.For the moment right now they don't ask stupid things,except the normal bureaucratic procedures which come down,who you are,your legal and marital status and what is the level of your income (to find out if you can afford to go there for tourism and not for illegal migration purposes).

So even when the time comes for 2026 World Cup they will make it easier than it is although for me it is easy enough right now for anyone to get a tourist visa from US until now.

Well, they did just that. Because in the next world cup there will be more teams qualified, they added extra slots to every conference. It just happened to be that for CONCACAF they added 3 slots, which just happened to match the number of hosts.

So, for the following world cup, they will still have those 6 direct slots, even if they are not hosting it, and whoever gets to host it, won't have any other extra slots, just the increased ones from this change.

That's why I think they should add extra three slots for this season, Because I think this time in the 2026 world cup we are going to have more countries getting auto qualification for the world cup and I think this can make three other countries be out of this tournament, the other solution can be making only one country get auto qualification.

I'm saying that the hosting countries now still qualify, but there are no more extra slots for the region.

It used to be that the rest of the teams in the region basically got an extra slot for them because the host got an extra qualifying slot. That's not the case any more.

The 3 extra slots just happens to be the extra slots for the new competition style, it's independent of who's hosting it. It just matched the number of hosts now.

Surely FIFA will come to a good decision in this regard by thinking about the audience. It is FIFA's responsibility to ensure that football fans can easily enjoy the game on the field. While getting a visa for Mexico is relatively easy, visas for the US and Canada are not so easy. It is very difficult for people from countries outside of Europe or America to get visas for Canada and America. Those who go to enjoy the football world cup directly on the field usually enter the countries where the football world cup is held with a tourist visa, but it is very difficult to get a tourist visa for America and Canada. Hopefully FIFA will definitely come to a discussion with these three countries and come to a decision on how to simplify the visa process.

If the total population of the three countries of America, Mexico and Canada will reach 500 million people. With the influence of today's social media, it will certainly attract the attention of more spectators to come to the stadium, including spectators from outside the three countries. I think to minimize the various risks that can arise from immigrants or tourists, this has been attempted long before.

Apart from that the 2026 world cup event will be the biggest and most luxurious than ever. By changing several FIFA regulations, such as adding teams from 32 to 48, the competition will become more stringent.

There are a total of 104 matches to be played during the 2026 World Cup. Even if we take a conservative estimate of 25,000 non-American spectators per match, it will work out to a total of 2.5 million individuals. Is it even possible to monitor all these people? Obviously some of them are going to drop out of the radar and stay in the US illegally. That said, millions of illegals are entering the American territory every year from Mexico. So what is the big deal if a few thousand football fans overstay their visa? Anyway, let's see how the US immigration deals with football fans from third world nations.   

Well this is something that there is not much to see, I remember when the World Cup was held in Brazil, in my country we were very excited, because we had a Brazil that was not going to compete for its place, however it was not like that, Brazil played As if there were no tomorrow, my country did not qualify and on top of that we lost the easiest opportunity we had to go to a World Cup, now in this World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico things have changed, because first there are more places in the World Cup, for everyone in general worldwide and for me it is an incentive that at least 2 more places are opened in CONMEBOL, if so then the opportunities do not stop and I hope that my country will qualify.

But a lot has happened at least in the Venezuelan team, initially they had a very good technical director named Pékerman, he is a high-level Argentine coach, and in the Football Federation Pékerman resigned due to breach of contract, this is something that corroborates that in these countries corruption is on the surface, so it is useless to get excited sometimes when there is no kind of support in football or in any sport, things tend to be like that, so now it is another Argentine that the truth is not I know how good it is, also as I said before, CONMEBOL is one of the most demanding in the world, for me the easiest confederation of all and to qualify is CONCACAF where the strongest countries are Mexico and USA, So that means that countries like El Salvador, Honduras have a very good opportunity to go to the World Cup, as well as HAITI.

Its seems good ideas for hosting of FIFA World Cup, United State and Canada are most difficult countries for visitor and what happen later when becoming host of World Cup will us get easy visa coming there. For Mexico I don't think has problem because around countries people come from easily visiting there but will United State and Canada have difficult rule coming there? I think good ideas have adopted by FIFA and give rule for all countries when becoming host of World Cup give free visa for visitor exactly when World Cup playing. Some fans not rich person and they have much money for paying visa and how expensive living cost in Mexico and Unite State, FIFA should take this points actually about living cost in countries will be host of FIFA World Cup on next edition.

I agree. Reality isn't always fair and I think by this time we already know that and accept the fact that it is not equal in almost everything. Each nation have its own advantage and disadvantage and in this instance that Northern American countries will host the event, countries that belong to the 2nd world countries and 3rd world countries will undergo a much stricter screening with more requirements before they are given the visa to be a tourist or watch the specific event. Compared to the first world countries where passport will suffice and they are the ones who actually have an advantage to an event like this because they can go inside and out with such ease and comfort.

That might be true for some nations, but not for all nations. Like for example if an Argentina wants to go there, do you think they will have the same chance of getting the visa as an English person? Doesn't matter how much money they have, just assume that they have the same amount of money in the bank and showed everything the same, would they still be getting equal chances?

Think of a big nation, like England, France, Germany, Spain etc etc, and then think of a smaller nation, like Argentina, Nigeria, Egypt etc etc, do you think they all have the same chance of getting the visa? The big ones will have easier time, the smaller nations will have some trouble and that's why I believe that it is going to be tough for some people.

Oh mate! You shouldn't have said that thing about Qatar and what they did to guarantee their right to host a World Cup event

It's not that most of them, and when I say most of them I mean the ones who believed that Qatar did it legally, did it in a fabulous way that no other country can do it again and also don't acknowledge the truth behind the curtains about what really happened.

Now because of what Qatar did, what you said above is indeed true and it's not really undeniable because aside from the fact that Saudi League is looking forward to a much bigger picture, hosting a World Cup is also one of their future plans and that is why they have merged with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup. I know that they will do everything in their power just to guarantee that but for now, the Morocco-Portugal-Spain are the ones that are much closer to the goal to host the 2030 event.

I don't think securing Visas to go and watch the FIFA World Cup that'll be hosted by Canada/Mexico/United States in 2024 by fans would be an issue for fans across the globe.
During the FIFA World Cup tournaments, there's provision of a special Visa for fans to the host country or countries and such Visa expires immediately at the World Cup is over. So any fan who has that kind of Visa to the host country is considered an illegal migrant at the expiration of the tournament.

I wish the 100th world cup will be hosted in South America, because it all started there, in Uruguay.

It would be quite nice to mark the anniversary there. I think there is a bid that includes four South American countries, with Uruguay being one of them.

While I don't want to disrespect any Muslim person, it's true that highest percentage of them forget their religion when they leave the borders of their country. A lot of Muslims drink alcohol, do drugs, are hugely active in prostitute, etc. So, while their religion probably prohibits corruption, still money outweighs all the religions and restrictions.

What if I say that the USA benefits with the situation that exists with Mexico–United States border. People who cross this border are usually doing a very hard jobs for very cheap compensation with 0 benefits that locals get. And if we talk about drugs, believe it or not, that situation is even beneficial, not for people, but for the government because they make a lot of money from this.

They cannot and they will not change whole country rules for a tournament even if they are hosting the greatest tournament in the world. Because there is huge interest from people in all over the world to take visas to America, but still America can make some special rules and let the people who want to watch the world cup to have their visas easier or after than at other times.

the US government has had a lot of headaches for many years because of mexico in terms of the illegal entry of mexicans, there is also the issue of drugs and the great mexican criminals who have committed atrocities, so with this joint world cup i am saddened asking how the US government intends to deal with the mexican border during the world cup, because I believe that many people will want to watch as many games as possible, so they will watch some games in the us and then travel by car to mexico to watch other games and then return to the US to watch more games

if the government at the border are very strict then it will make the number of people who will spend hours waiting for bureaucracy at the border very large and the most annoying thing for me is sitting in the car in a long line of cars waiting for the police to keep searching each car and documents, we will see how the government will deal with this so that the service is quick and does not create embarrassment for people who go to watch the games and of course the drug dealers will want to take advantage of this world cup event
