Deciding where it should be hosted could go either way but we know that Qatar bribed to get it, it was ousted and we literally learned it and the CEO of fifa got fired for it, so it was obvious that they didn't deserve it to begin with.

In the end, they are going to end up as a host forever, that will not be taken from them, no matter how much money they have spent. After seeing that, Saudis decided that they want to do the same for 2030 one, and they have started to hire players because of that, to show the world that they have what it takes. I bet that they will be putting up a lot of money as well, they have the money for it, so it shouldn't really be impossible to do something like that, it could work out for them in the end.

I wish the 100th world cup will be hosted in South America, because it all started there, in Uruguay.

It would be quite nice to mark the anniversary there. I think there is a bid that includes four South American countries, with Uruguay being one of them.

When it was discovered that Qatar bribed many FIFA officials to win the hosting right I was surprised because the country is an Islamic nation and I thought they will uphold the tenets of the religion. So it will not be out of place to predict that Saudi Arabis might still use the same process to clinch the hosting rights. But it is high time Fifa becomes transparent because if money keeps influencing the votes of the hosting rights, the wrong country/countries will continue to emerge as world cup hosts.
While I don't want to disrespect any Muslim person, it's true that highest percentage of them forget their religion when they leave the borders of their country. A lot of Muslims drink alcohol, do drugs, are hugely active in prostitute, etc. So, while their religion probably prohibits corruption, still money outweighs all the religions and restrictions.

the US government has had a lot of headaches for many years because of mexico in terms of the illegal entry of mexicans, there is also the issue of drugs and the great mexican criminals who have committed atrocities, so with this joint world cup i am saddened asking how the US government intends to deal with the mexican border during the world cup, because I believe that many people will want to watch as many games as possible, so they will watch some games in the us and then travel by car to mexico to watch other games and then return to the US to watch more games

if the government at the border are very strict then it will make the number of people who will spend hours waiting for bureaucracy at the border very large and the most annoying thing for me is sitting in the car in a long line of cars waiting for the police to keep searching each car and documents, we will see how the government will deal with this so that the service is quick and does not create embarrassment for people who go to watch the games and of course the drug dealers will want to take advantage of this world cup event
What if I say that the USA benefits with the situation that exists with Mexico–United States border. People who cross this border are usually doing a very hard jobs for very cheap compensation with 0 benefits that locals get. And if we talk about drugs, believe it or not, that situation is even beneficial, not for people, but for the government because they make a lot of money from this.

It is quite difficult for some people in some countries to obtain a visa for America, and it usually takes a lot of time for them to obtain one. I think the United States will make some exceptions during the world cup when it hosts it, as well as try to put in place some rules to make it easier for people to obtain a visa during the tournament.

We must not forget that there will be presidential elections at the US on 2024, and it seems that once again immigration is going to be a very hot topic, so while it would make sense for the US to relax the requirements for fans which want to obtain a visa to visit their country during the world cup, we may as well end up seeing the opposite and instead we could see the US becoming way stricter on their policies, and people that had already bought their tickets and booked hotel rooms may be denied a visa losing a lot of money in the process.

I just forgot about the presidential elections in 2024, I guess because of the 2026 world cup we are going to see many topics and news about the possible presidents who want to make special rules for the world cup and make some special rules for it. I think after the presidential elections that's possible to see some changes in the USA and some changes in rules.

They cannot and they will not change whole country rules for a tournament even if they are hosting the greatest tournament in the world. Because there is huge interest from people in all over the world to take visas to America, but still America can make some special rules and let the people who want to watch the world cup to have their visas easier or after than at other times.

It is very difficult to get a US visa from my country. In fact 95% of people that apply for visas are denied. You can't even get a tourist visa because the conditions are very stringent. I am also hoping that the election will usher in a government that will be more flexible with its immigration polices so that many fans can get the opportunity of enjoying the football games and catch some fun in the country.

The world is gradually losing the virtue of honesty and integrity. Money seems to be controlling everything in this world. As you said, Saudi Arabia might end up winning hosting rights not because they are the most qualified, but because of the money they are willing to spend. When it was discovered that Qatar bribed many FIFA officials to win the hosting right I was surprised because the country is an Islamic nation and I thought they will uphold the tenets of the religion. Safe to say that these specific individuals who are running for the presidential seat will try and talk about the upcoming world cup that will happen in their country, I don't doubt it as that topic will literally increase their ratings if they can sweet talk the people to have a much easier journey. But after that, we cannot expect their promises to happen because first and foremost, security and safety of their people is a priority specially in this kind of event and I don't think they will give the foreign people some slack just because of it. Moreover, cutting some slack will prevent them from doing their jobs and most probably, a lot of people will take advantage of that like the ones who are planning to make a living in their country in the guise of being a spectator of the upcoming event.

Finally, due my national teams Indonesian has lower FIFA rank must start first qualifier round against Brunei Darussalam with home and away format, optimistic with my national team chance lead to second qualifier round have been waiting by Iraq, Vietnam and Philippines national teams. Still long journey for my national teams has chance for the first time manage to FIFA World Cup 2026 because after winning against Brunei Darussalam should be first or second standing position on group F lead to next qualifier round.

First round qualifier against Brunei Darussalam will play on October 12 for first leg and second leg will play five days later on October 17, actually Brunei Darussalam national teams is not difficult against for Indonesia and optimistic with my national teams chance will play in World Cup 2026.

Europe and Qatar both have their own advantages and disadvantages. One good thing with Qatar is that it is very easy to get a tourist visa. But apart from that, there were a lot of negatives. Hotel prices were extremely high and they changed the rules at the last minute restricting alcohol only to those holding the highest tier tickets. Also, there were a lot of restrictions in place for LGBT and unmarried couples. In Europe the only issue as far as I can see is regarding the visa. Higher crime rate is also a concern.

The football level of Qatar is very low though, in my opinion it should not have been hosted there because the team lowered the quality of the tournament.

In the next world cup we will probably see a lower level of football because now many countries will be able to qualify.
Judging without the correct data is certainly a subjective assessment and not all will agree and state the same thing, an assessment of quality must take into account many factors such as the number of goals, the number of spectators present at the stadium or those who watch via television broadcasts or many other things Judging without mentioning these factors your assessment is invalid, including saying that the 2026 World Cup will also experience a lowered level due to the number of participants, because if that happens I'm sure FIFA will suffer losses due to the reduced number of sponsors because there will be a lowered level of organizing the world cup, because companies and audiences don't want to spend money to see something that isn't interesting

If America does not relax the visa policy, we will definitely miss the 2026 World Cup. It is very difficult to get visas for the three countries where the next World Cup will be held. Even if special visas are arranged only for World Cup visitors, football lovers will get a great opportunity to enjoy the World Cup on the field. Even if the US relaxes the visa policy, the visas for the World Cup in Qatar will not be as easy to obtain as the visas for the World Cup in the US. The World Cup tournament, which will be held with three countries, will undoubtedly make it very difficult for the spectators to manage visas and enjoy the game
I am guessing that just getting USA one seems like doable isn't it? That's where the finals will be held? If that's the case then go to any game that is in the USA and then go to finals game and you are done, no need for anything extra about that.

The reality is that you wouldn't be able to go to 3 countries that size anyway, how could you move from USA to Mexico and then to USA and then to Canada, that's just way too much travel and I do not think that anyone would catch the games like that anyway, it is just too far apart. So you pick just one nation, which I would do USA if I could afford it. In that case getting Visa for world cup should be easier for sure, you could have your tickets, and reservations and all that ready, and it will definitely make sense.

It is very difficult to get USA Canada or Mexico visa directly from my country. Apart from celebrities, maybe very few people in my country will be able to directly enjoy World Cup tournament matches sitting in the stadium. Because an ordinary person has to struggle a lot to get an American visa and after a lot of hard work, most of the time the visa is rejected from the American embassy, so maybe we have to spend the 2026 World Cup sitting in front of the TV. If the visa policy is slightly different for the World Cup only, there may be some possibility for America to watch the World Cup. Waiting for America to make a separate visa channel for football world cup where we can easily get American visa.

Creating an exception for World Cup would be tricky, because the US do have a problem with people arriving in legal visa and then overstaying. In case they issue visas without doing proper verification steps, then there is a good chance that a lot of people will land in the US. But then the illegal immigrant problem in the US mostly results from migrant caravans crossing the southern border illegally, rather than people arriving and then overstaying on valid visas. Anyway, we still have three more years to go for the tournament, and hopefully the situation will change and the US authorities will approve a visa process that is mutually beneficial.

If we look at things from a positive perspective, then we will see something positive, conversely, if we look at things from a negative perspective, then all we will see is the negative. It's the same with the World Cup, I would say there is no perfect World Cup without any problems or anything like that. So it's just a matter of how we look at it.
I agree with you that each country has its own characteristics, we can't compare the World Cup held in country A with the World Cup held in country B, because those are 2 different countries. It might make more sense to compare World Cups held in the same country in different editions.
I would say world cup without any problems is one thing, but world cup with a ton of problems is another. Qatar one never felt like a true world cup to me, not because of any religious stuff but because not that many fans went there, that's the biggest issue. I mean normally what I understand from world cup is that when Brazil is playing, there will be tens of thousands of brazil fans cheering on the stadium, and when France does then French ones.

When you look at Qatar world cup, you will see that it was like made for the Qatari people and it was mostly them that was watching it and that's an issue if you ask me. It is not made for a nation, it's made for every nation, and if there aren't tens of thousands of fans of that nation there, then it makes no sense.

The biggest problem we had in Qatar was the lack of freedom and we all knew Qatar couldn't be a good host mostly because of the rules they have. We know Qatar as a Muslim country where you are not allowed to during in some places and in the other hand this country is very rich-friendly, which means if you have the money you can do anything you want, otherwise you should respect all the rules and you won't have freedom there.

It is a natural thing, and we also have to understand each other with policies that will certainly be different from each country. I will illustrate it in a small thing like a guest at home for example, of course we as guests must respect what is the rule in the house, and of course also the host must be able to respect us. We certainly don't want to have guests who are arbitrary in our homes, right? But because this is a different thing, Qatar is also not unwilling to give in to this, but they also relax the policy policy even though by loosening it I am not enough for some people. But again there must be mutual respect from everyone, isn't it in football that mutual respect is prioritized?

Indeed but the standards in European are not the same as in other Asian countries, for example as far as I know in most of the countries in Europa you won't have a problem if you drink alcohol in public but that's not allowed in Qatar.
I was hoping to see Qatar change some rules or at least make some expectations for the people who visit this country during the world cup.

As Qatar is a predominantly Muslim country, certain restrictions were imposed on traveling to their country but no one had any trouble getting a Qatar tourist visa and got the tourist visa easily. But the things that were banned in Qatar were homosexuality, extramarital affairs, alcohol, and certain size clothing for girls, but in Europe there is no such problem, but the big problem in Europe is the visa. There are many processes to go through to get a tourist visa for traveling to Europe which is very difficult and most of the tourist visas are usually rejected. If the visa complications could be eased for those who will enjoy the football match directly in the stadium, then the football lovers would not have to struggle so much to get a European visa.

@Litzki1990 while both can’t be compared but what truly disappointed me was the way they treated those labourers and despite so much noise being made nothing really happened which would have done justice for those labourers. Also now let’s turn our attention to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and I hope that USA relaxes their visa policies otherwise many will miss out on this tournament.

In any country, there are some rules and restrictions depending on the country and people, but the fact about some countries like Qatar is about very limited restrictions because even for the people who travel to this country, Qatar forces them to respect the rules and while in the next world cup in America, we won't have these restrictions anymore.

Very understandable because FIFA is a huge event and the nearest establishments like hotels and apartments will surely take advantage of the event as they know that it's not every year they will have an event like that. Also, LGBT and unmarried couples were discouraged because it is a Muslim country, we cannot expect to change their beliefs and traditions just for that event. People who flock towards the country should know and obey the rules, failing to know the rules doesn't make them innocent.
