ASEAN zone is the most weakest football in Asian without any participants team yet during FIFA World Cup edition except Australia move to ASEAN zone last several years, there are not doubt with how enthusiasm for football very high with supporter always full in stadium where their national team playing home.

I hope with slot added for FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States give chance for ASEAN national team get chance participants there and have one or two years time preparing for qualifier stage, I sure between Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam have opportunity will be success on qualifier group stage.

The weakest zone without a doubt it South Asia. We have a bunch of countries that are all ranked below 100 as per FIFA. And the fun fact is that this zone has a population of 2 billion, and has one of the most rapid population growth rates for any part of the globe. In Asia, the football strongholds are the middle-eastern countries (including Iran) and East Asia (Japan and South Korea). Australia is more like an outlier which has shown enormous growth over the years. And then we have Central Asia (especially Uzbekistan) which has also shown significant improvement.

I haven't seen much of Uzbekistan yet. I can't even remember whether I saw them play ever, but yes there is a whole different part of the world developing and may soon be participating in major soccer events. It is unexpected that China is so low in the ranking. Usually they are sports focused and they have also been buying European top players for a lot of money since quite a while ago. Also a fun fact is that the women's national soccer team from China was one of the best in the world for a very long time, the men's national soccer team only managed to qualify once for the World Cup final round in the entire history. Who would have thought that?

I didn't say that there is no interest in football in Asia, only that in some Asian countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan... there is no football tradition and great public and media interest in that sport.
Of course, I know that in Japan, South Korea and China huge amounts of money are invested in football and because of this there is a great interest from the media, the public and sponsors, but this is not the case in all Asian countries and the differences between the countries are huge.
Without basic infrastructure and the right organization, as well as finances and sponsors, there is no development of football to the professional level, and this is a fact that everyone understands.

You are not right in saying that. Have you heard of Mini Brazil in Layari - Karachi Pakistan.
They are crazy for football. Many people love football. After seeing the craza for football UK professional did visit Pakistan to teach football to these kids. Also see the decoration which is done in Layari during the football 2023 world cup

Did I mention Pakistan in my comment? Did I say there is no interest in football in any Asian country? On the contrary, I noticed how much football has progressed in many Asian countries, and I particularly highlighted Japan, South Korea and China. However, the fact remains that this development is not balanced and equal in all Asian countries, and I stand behind it.
Football is definitely not the number one sport in India, as far as I heard from the interview with their Croatian coach Stimac.
The matter is really to think, the national football teams of the countries of the Asian continent are failing to qualify themselves for the World Cup. The efforts of these teams are great, if FIFA takes a little more responsibility and puts time behind these teams, we can get some new teams from the Asian continent in the next World Cup.

I admit this is an interesting question...

But honestly, I don't know, maybe that happens because part of the Asian population is not a big fan of football and it's not a very widespread and practiced sport there.

It is not a habit or a tradition of the Asian people, unlike Brazil, that when a large part of the population is born, they already receive a soccer ball as a gift or some kind of uniform from a Brazilian team or even, they already begin to have contact with football at the beginning of school life.

Of course, what I said is just a presumption on my part, but I believe that this may be or may have happened to some Asian countries.

I think you're right.
I followed the Indian national football team a little because they have a Croatian coach, Stimac.
It's obvious that football in India does not have the same tradition or popularity as in other countries.
Very few people play football in India, the league is weak and uninteresting, there are no rich sponsors and finances, there is no media interest etc.
The Indian national team is weak and they have never been close to qualifying for the World Cup.
I think the situation is similar with some other Asian countries.

Not infrequently too, many cases that claim lives. This shows that the majority of other parts of Asia are football fans.

The problem is the infrastructure, our children don't have a free football field anymore, to go to football school, it's too expensive. Besides, the system implemented is old-fashioned, so we are too far behind other Asian countries. to make matters worse, our national team is ranked 151st. whereas, football has become a part of our culture as well. however, there are many factors that cause football in Asia to lag behind Europe and Latin America. because of that, I always emphasize that other Asia besides Japan and South Korea are not ready to play on the 2026 world cup championship stage later.

If countries that are less interested in football get a chance to participate in this tournament, interest in football will increase in those countries. I think this is a very correct point of view. I support this approach. In addition, the world cup organization held in Qatar showed us the success of the Asian and African teams. I look forward to seeing more teams from these continents. If the name of this organization is the World Cup, we should make it a real world game. If that happens, we will enjoy this tournament more.

This idea to increase the number of world cup participants would also have some financial benefits. The funds that most teams in developing nations would get from participating in the world cup can also be used to promote football in their home country. Some teams in developing nations are underfunded which might have contributed to their poor performance. Teams from Asia and Africa need funds to finance their national teams and local leagues. This will help to to promote football in the country and discovery of more quality player.
There are several reasons for the increase on the number of teams being allowed to participate on the world cup, to begin with there are political reasons for this move, Infantino became the president of FIFA by promising federations more spots for the world cup, another reason is that this will increase the interest on the world cup as now more countries will participate in it, and finally with this the amount of money FIFA will earn from the world cup will increase as well.
Their is a reason for the increase and it might not not be as bad as we think. I believe the 2026 world cup will be very interesting with new chances.  If fifa increase the number of teams that will be participating it doesn't  mean their will lots of weaker teams that will be participating in the competition.
You can never tell which new team will come forward as a competitive team in upcoming World Cup and may be they'll reach in later stages . You can never tell the potential anyone is having before the game as this world we have seen Morocco emerging as a stronger team.
This will increase popularity of fifa and football by leaps and bounds .
I think the Brazil team will be able to make themselves the best team in the next World Cup. Because the team failed to do well due to some mistakes after doing a great performance in the 2022 World Cup However, the team still has plenty of young talent who can do well.

It's all about taking benefits whenever they host a world cup in their country. However, the Al-Nassr case is different than the world cup because these are not in some countries, but regardless of that the moment when Qatar hosted the world cup they could get many demands on their country and this definitely helped many businesses there and there is some situation every time for any country the host world cup that's why we think America and the countries they host the world cup can get many many financial benefits to form the world cup in 2026.
Yes, I have no doubts about that.
In fact, hosting games at a world level for example, Olympics and especially the World Cup, I have no doubt that countries will have a huge opportunity to show their country to the whole world!

I believe, we will have several events taking place in the next world cup, a greater number of teams participating in the 2026 cup, and also, 3 countries hosting the world cup (Canada/Mexico/USA), I have no doubt that tourism for these countries will intensify during the 2026 world cup

Yes, and I believe this will be the trend.

After the World Cup in Qatar, I have no doubt that many people, businessmen and players, looked at football in a different way, mainly in the Middle East and some Asian countries.
They saw the potential that this type of sport can generate and influence people
and generate money.

We saw this after Al-Nassr signed Cristiano Ronaldo, and I still believe more teams will be able to do the same

I have no doubt, in the 2026 World Cup, several countries will have improved and increased their level of quality in football, day after day countries are practicing football and the tendency is for more teams to do this.

At the end of the day it will mostly depend on how much money they managed to make.

I don't think politicians will care too much about actual football and instead they will focus on making money, and power, as usual.
I think the FIFA authorities have not yet introduced a wide range of political issues into football. We all believe that FIFA is taking football forward in a great way. We hope to see some more surprises in the next World Cup.

In fact, there is no point in playing great unless you can win the match. Spain play football with a lot of style but if they can't score goals then they don't have any point of playing. So to strengthen their game and team they need to train their attacking players very well so that they can finish well.
The Spanish team is good but for speed and the ball, Spain's hull is very weak and Spain doesn't have a striker as deadly as Torres and David Villa. If you reflect on the Qatar World Cup, Enriqe should have brought in some experienced players. Many experienced Spanish players were not selected. And this has proven to be a boomerang that cannot be regretted anymore. The next world cup in Spain must improve, because playing well but not being able to score goals is also in vain.

Meanwhile, for Middle East countries. now they are starting to focus on the development of football, it has been proven that Qatar can break the dominance of Japan which has always been a strong candidate to win the Asian Cup. and the weakest is ASEAN, the development of football in ASEAN countries is very far behind compared to other Asian countries. there are many factors, starting from the infrastructure, local trainers who are not of good quality, as well as several others that I have mentioned above. I hope, with the addition of the world cup quota slot. countries in Asia are competing to improve the development of their football so that it is far more developed.

There were two nations hosting before and both of them got in, I remember clearly Korea and Japan hosted it together and they had no issues accepting all three. I think in this case USA will be the hardest one to accept, but even they were in the last one, Canada too, and if I am not mistaken, Mexico too?

It looks like this would be a bit of a situation if teams were too bad, but these are the teams that already got in last time, so if given the regular competition they would still be in again, and this is why it's not a shocker that they would end up with getting in right away if they are hosting as well, they totally deserve such a thing.

Yes and that was the first and last time where 2 countries have joined together to host a World Cup, that was in the last 2002 and afterwards, only a single country has successfully won the bid and outscored some countries that attempt to join their bid together. This time, it will happen again but it's not just 2 nations combining, it's three. Therefore, the whole North American continent will host the games namely Canada, USA, and Mexico. And that also means that their national team will have a perks to advance automatically in the qualifiers.

It is very true that CONCACAF will surely have teams that we have not seen so far in a World Cup, it will be the first time for many countries, personally I would like my country to finally be able to go to a World Cup, it is time that they can experience that experience, in addition to the pride that each country takes to see their players play, the fact that there are 3 countries and that it is one like Mexico surprised me a lot, but I am glad that FIFA has now accepted it and that they can do it, the truth is very It's good that they have that kind of acceptance, and now that the quotas for the countries have increased, it's better.

I think the Spain football team is the best but the team does not have a good finisher. If there was an attacking finisher in the Spain team, no one would be able to cope with the team. Because Spain's football style is completely different.

It's all about their playing style and how they score the goals on the field, for many teams that are important to have strong forwards to finish the ball, and having a finisher can give the game another shape while in Spain since a long time ago they usually have strong midfielders and playmakers and these midfielders they got usually work like a forward to score the goal which a different playing style than other teams we usually see.
In fact, there is no point in playing great unless you can win the match. Spain play football with a lot of style but if they can't score goals then they don't have any point of playing.
