If someone wanted to be more accurate, he would have said that the earth is not a globe or any other shape that is similar to a globe. He would have said that it is simply a continuation in all directions of what we see locally at ground level.

Let me ask you this, what if you're being lied to about say a large sum of money or property. You're being deprived of what's yours through deception while being mocked belittled at the same time, how does that make you feel? Do you feel like killing?
@Astargath, I calculated the force a while back. If I recall correctly I think it was about 14 grams of force for your average sized person. If you claim the inner ear can't register this force you should probably kill yourself.

Again, gravity is 9.8m/s and the additional acceleration is 0.03m/s. 0.03 is too low compared to 9.8 to make any difference, I think it's quite easy to understand.
