There is another reason why people reject flat earth. It's because they are worn out from laughing so hard at flat earth people. And then they become worn out crying over flat earthers deplorable condition. The rejection is simply looking anywhere else, just to keep from even thinking about it. I mean, gotta save some laughing/crying energy just to live life.

Go for a No go check the Humitity of your Town or Area you live (most likely somewhere between 50-100%)
On Top of all the Water to deal with you have dust paritcals and also the more Light the object emits you looking at the further away you can see it. (Turn of the lights on a lighthouse)

It should be possible. But flat earth people have invented a new form of perspective that doesn't make any sense at all. This new kind of perspective says that you can't see Europe from the USA because of perspective.
