The horizon line is at the vanishing point on a plain.

Get a grip on reality, the Earth is flat.

^^^ There's water droplets in the air that cause a magnification to occur and the bottoms of the enlarged buildings are cut off by the horizon.

What horizon? There is no horizon on a flat earth. According to FE, you could see the Antarctic Ice Wall from the east and west coasts of the U.S if the air didn't get in the way, though it would appear very low due to perspective.

There are days when the effect of refraction is minimized maximized and you can see for hundreds of miles with an infrared camera and zoom lens...

FTFY

Again, you have the effect of refraction backwards. Atmospheric refraction causes objects to appear higher than they are, regardless of flat earth or globe earth. On a globe earth, refraction can make things that are below the horizon appear above the horizon.

Anyway, I don't think refraction would have any effect on the visibility of objects on a flat earth. Why does it?

Also as a side note, I think some people misunderstand what a zoom (or more precisely, a telephoto) lens does. It doesn't allow you to see farther. Rather, it just magnifies the image. Even though they are the same distance away, you don't need a telescope to see the moon but you need a telescope to see a small feature on the moon.

"The view of Chicago, Illinois from the bluff in downtown Saint Joseph, Michigan was the most clear I have ever seen it tonight. May 4, 2019. I am amazed at the detail for being ~60 miles away." -- @JoshuaNowickiPhotography

The view of Chicago Illinois from the bluff in downtown Saint Joseph Michigan from 60 miles, May 4 2019 - a great Flat Earth proof. Image still not appearing in google search.

How do explain the fact that you can only see the tops of the buildings? Why can't you see the entire buildings? Could it be that the view is blocked by a curved Earth?

There are days when the effect of refraction is minimized and you can see for hundreds of miles with an infrared camera and zoom lens. The globe dictates that a physical horizon exists three miles from an observer at sea level; this simply doesn't exist. Even with an unmodified P900 you can bust the globe and put the horizon so far beyond three miles there's no where to go but a planar model.

GE folks proved GE a long time ago. | FE people are having problems finding FE.
GE folks are having fun waiting for   | FE people are trying to find help so they

How as an individual can I know if the Earth is a sphere or a flat disc? What experiment can I do that doesn't involve trusting information from a 3rd party that would prove what the geometry really is?

https://i.imgur.com/O8IpMmi.jpg
in my childhood days I know about the earth is definitely flat but in my school days they will be said and teaching like the earth will be like Sphere in shape so the confusion will be going on my mind from a long period of time to make the clear thought

In the 1800s through the mid 1900s, hollow Earth was taught with greater emphasis than standard solid Earth. Both were global, because science has for a long time known that the Earth isn't flat.

^^^ What's the difference if he existed or not? If his experiments can be done by others with the same results, who cares who was the first to do them? This is about FE, not the existence of some scientist. All you are trying to do is avoid the issue because it's easier to do this than to answer the real questions.

Cool

How do we know the experiments can be done by other people? Have you done them yourself?

Since there is no experimental way to tell if you are a person, nobody knows if the experiment you are doing can be done by other people or not.

@Astargath, just because you're too stupid to understand the Sagnac effect doesn't make me a liar for claiming the inventor of oscilloscope successfuly replicated it while taking rotating frames of references into account. You've obviously got some kind of cognitive impairment or you're a paid shill who needs to be raped to death with a gasoline powered chainsaw.

I'm sorry but how does that answer the question of: HOW do you know he existed at all? In your phrase above you just assumed he actually existed and did those things, the question is HOW do you know he did or even existed at all considering you think the governments are capable of faking a whole universe, where do you get your information about Sagnac and how do you know it's 100% accurate? Answer the question please, don't try to escape from it.

^^^ The box wasn't enough, this ZOG puppet insisted that Google cuck its AI and make YouTube serve up an endless list of 'flat earthers are the stupidest people alive' videos. The target audience was looking for videos from flat earthers to explain why they believe the earth is flat, instead they got absolute crap videos full of clowns.

The ad doesn't play if the user doesn't click on the video they were looking for, Google's primary source of revenue didn't get what they were looking for; they dumped Google causing it to lose $70 bn in value.

Still waiting for lying notbatman to explain how he knows the scientists he chose to believe are right and all the others aren't or he knows they even existed at all when he is not a scientists himself or is specialized in those fields in science. Tough question batty?

I can tell, nobody actually clicked on the video link.

Congressman Deutch is dictating to Google's lawyer that putting a box that says the Earth isn't flat above flat Earth videos isn't enough. Google's lawyer responds by stating that they'll intercept and filter the videos then promote videos that claim the Earth is spinning.

I just watched the video and I agree that Google is engaging in censorship. I think it is a mistake by Google and a bad direction for the U.S. Now that Google is curating YouTube videos, they are going to be considered legally responsible for YouTube content. Furthermore, this legal responsibility gives the U.S. the ability to restrict free speech by enacting laws dictating what Google can and cannot show.

If Google is putting up boxes that say, "The Earth is not flat", then I can also see them putting up boxes that say, "Evolution is a fact" and "The Earth is 4.5 billion years old" and "Global warming is caused by humans". They could even go as far as to put up boxes that say, "God does not exist" and "The Bible is fiction."

Even though I agree with those statements, I don't think that Google should be mandated or even allowed to be an authority that dictates views to which we must all conform.

The Earth is definitely flat. Look at Denver. It sits on a piece of flat Earth about a mile up a mountain.

The results of tampering with YouTube's finely tuned artificial intelligence recommendations, were financially devastating; GIGO. It should also be noted that Theodore Eliot Deutch is a Democrat.
