Friendlies could be difficult to predict. The game could go either way in football but with friendlies, it could be more difficult to predict a winner.
Teams aren’t always concerned about winning friendlies as there’s no trophy nor title to be won and I don’t think it really affects their rankings. I haven’t placed a bet and don’t think I’ll be moved anytime soon to place bets on a friendly match. Unless, they’re actually trying to win the game, I don’t see any team using their first choice of players for a friendly game. They’re more likely to use perhaps a mixture of players who enjoys playing time and others who don’t normally have a lot of playing time.

Any outcome (even if we are talking about a normal game) is difficult to predict, but this is not required: you just need to understand where the value is. In friendly games where there is an obvious favorite, you should bet on the outsider (even taking into account the fact that bookmakers usually adjust the value odds on this side), if approximately equal teams play, then (this is my personal opinion, not financial advice hehe) the value is in BTTS No (since everyone expects that there will be BTTS Yes).
In general, friendly games are a very random topic, and in order to make a profit from it, you need to place live bets.

As I often say, friendly matches or exhibition matches are not matches that I am interested in watching, but the England vs Brazil match should be an interesting match.

Congratulations because your bet won where Brazil succeeded in beating England with a narrow score of 1-0, and if we look at the highlights of the match, the two teams played very evenly, where no one dominated more, but Brazil was luckier by managing to score the only goal in the match, and Brazil's young talent is reappearing, as usual they are a country that has many good players but recently their performance has not been so good.

Thanks hehehe
It was a very equilibrated game, not at all like a friendly, the two teams played as if it were a championship match. There were even a few fouls that don't usually occur in friendly matches
England wanted to prepare for the Euro 24 with a strong team as their opponent, but they suffered without some of their players, such as Harry Kane, who could have made the difference

But in any case, Brazil played well, a little differently from what they had been playing, and managed to create some good chances, but the England team is very good
I managed to win the bet only at the end of the game hehe
If I'd bet on both teams scoring goals as suggested, I'd have lost

My picks for Both Teams To Score today are:
Denmark vs Switzerland
England vs Brazil
France vs Germany
I think this chosen match will be successful in giving you victory.

Nope, failed miserably hehe. This is an example of why it is so difficult to predict the outcome of a friendly match.
Who would have thought that France and England couldn't even get 1 goal back.
Denmark vs Switzerland end with 0-0 was also an unexpected result.
The last time Denmark played with a score of 0-0 was in November 2022, and Switzerland was in September 2021.

I just lost 3 Friendly Match last week ago, and all match results draw Grin,

  • Morocco - Cape Verde,
  • Germany - Ukraine,
  • and Indonesia vs Palestine

I don't know why a strong team like German and Morocco didn't play seriously when meet in a friendly match. this will be noted and experienced in the future, So if you are bet in a friendly match, be careful to bet, don't look at how strong that team and squad, just look and be brave to bet in a draw. This is just my opinion, not always all friendly matches result for draw, but with my 3 last bets, I have a thing to bet 70% in the draw  Grin,

how about you?
Strong teams don't care much about friendly matches because there is no competition and there is no hunger, the outcome of the match doesn't matter for anyone and doesn't decide the fate of anything. I don't even watch friendly matches. The last match that I watched was Al Nassr - Inter Miami and I watched it because of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Al Nassr scored 6 goals, Inter Miami did nothing, this only proves that Al Nassr took the match seriously and Inter Miami didn't care about it. It would be a huge mistake to make a bet on corners, number of goals and etc because the outcome of this match was not logical. I always try to place bet on Champion's League games and on famous domestic leagues like La League, Premier League, Serie A and etc.

There's a big friendly match today, England vs Brazil
And the odds are very interesting

I'm placing my bet on Brazil. Playing with a new coach, wanting to give their all, while England are already preparing for the Euro 24
Great game, will anyone be watching?

I'm going to bet on Brazil winning

Whenever I saw football teams playing friendly matches, I will try to avoid betting on it as the coach of the team might just be testing out some strategy to prepare for upcoming competitive matches and sometimes you might even see a lot of new players getting substituted into the match right at the start in the second half of the game. The chances for surprising upset result to happen even when traditional strong teams playing against weaker teams in friendly matches is high since the final result of the match does not matter.
It seems like you read my exact thoughts on this subject of friendlies being hard to predict.
I tried to dissuade one of my friends who love betting on such soccer matches to not do so last night during some friendlies, but he was adamant and of course did place his bet and lost. At least he didn't get to lose much because he was careful.

Many of the friendlies is just like a prologue to an on coming encounter or fixture and as such a good coach  uses it to test the morale of his players and those with the potential to be on the first team.
Although in some cases such friendlies can be a decider to ranking on the governing board list of best teams, hence why many would still like to win.

I'll give you that about friendly matches. My bets lose in these matches the most.  Cheesy  I'm not blaming the team I bet on for that though. Because I'm betting on that team by accepting the higher risk of losing. These matches are just preparation for real tournaments in the end. Not all teams are keen on showing their real strength here.
If you're accepting higher risk of losing, didn't you bet on underdog?

For me in friendly match, the chance underdog can pull upset is higher than the league match, so it's already correct to bet on underdog. Just like yesterday, Czechia won against Norway, Colombia won against Spain. It's true that I'm cherry picking, but people didn't expect with the result.

Anyway, is this thread intended for general discussion about friendly match or we're discuss about the match lol.

Plus, these matches are played during the season. Coaches don't want their players to get injured or too tired in this kind of matches. This is also a factor in national teams to not get full efficiency from their players.

I wish I didn't bet on France yesterday...  Cry

Friendly matches, I just overlooked the fixtures because I've slim accuracy. They are challenging and difficult to predict, it do comes with suspense actions and the impossible always get triggered. It's only in Friendly matches were France will lose to Croatia or Finland. These are the random game outcomes that emerges because it's a Friendly game. It's understandable that we should be having quite important stats in the system, always ready to express ourselves and claiming to be good points.

Actually betting on friendly matches is very unclear and less convincing than convincing. We as betting players will be very serious about watching the match in this friendly match. what about the players who played in the match? Friendly matches are matches that are held during the break in official competitions or team trials before playing matches in official competitions, of course this really helps the coaching team with friendly matches. Of course the coaching team will try or experiment with a lot of formations and starting line ups in friendly matches. Of course, the intensity of the match in friendly matches is not as hot or serious as in official competition matches. After carrying out many trials of formations or starting players in each line. The coaching team will definitely use a formation and starting line up that they feel is suitable for their team in official competitions. So a friendly match can be called a team trial. because it's too risky, betting on friendly matches is really not recommended in my opinion...

That's why it's called friendly and these countries that we all know can score goals to win a match can start playing like teams that are ranked 100 below, the bigger country can lose to the smaller ones or even draw like your game OP.
Before making any selections on these country sides, to me I'd advise you go for tips that doesn't favor any of the teams unless you're the type that take risks, I even prefer the friendlies either club or country, easy money to get.

For me the best choice if I have to bet on a friendly match is just Both Teams To Score.
Its difficult to predict who will win or guess Over/under, even if we watch the live broadcast it often won't help much.
Because winning is not mandatory, the important thing is to play well, compactly according to the coach strategy and the most important is not to get injured.

My picks for Both Teams To Score today are:
Denmark vs Switzerland
England vs Brazil
France vs Germany

It's a really good way of betting, I agree
Did you make 3 separate single bets, or did you make a multiple with the 3 results?

A multiple like that (with odds of 1.80 or so for each bet) should give you over 5.0, very good, and good luck

Maybe I'll try that bet with 2 usd to test in friendlies  Wink

On a friendly match played today Spain lost to Colombia 0-1 in london. This was one of the friendlies the south american and European teams are playing as they prepare for Copa america and Euro Cup. Spain has been on a decline while colombia is a young and fit team. Both of the team were equally impressive on the field creating good attack and attempt to post. Both the keepers saved some close goals. Colombia scored through an impressive goal by Daniel Munez on the 61st over. A counter attack and an good assist turned into a goal through forward flying kick.  Spain would now play another friendly with Brazil while colombia would play one with Romania.

Both teams scoring is indeed the best betting option for betting because each team only views a friendly match as nothing more than to test the formation and test the players who are prepared for the match.
On the other hand, both teams scoring is the best option because the chance of success is greater because every player in a position other than defender wants to show their strengths to the coach.

My picks for Both Teams To Score today are:

You already said it, not all friendly matches end in a draw, like over here in africa, Nigeria played against Ghana today in a friendly, and the game ended in a score of 2:1 in favor of Nigeria, it's actally the first time the Nigerian team are beating the Ghanaian team in a friendly encounter since 2006, I was actually going to bet on this match but I wasn't really sure what the outcome would be, so, I simply didn't bother betting on the game.

So, in all honesty, I believe you were simply not lucky though, and thinking on what you said about strong team not playing with seriousness in friendly matches, i personally think it all depends on what is at stack, what are the playing the frendly for, are they playing to qualify for any major game? Ot tournament?, or are they just playing to keep fit and so on?
If they are playing to qualify for any major game, or tournament, then expect the team to be on their toes and play with all seriousness, but if they are just playing the friendlies to keep fit, then I think it's easy to know why they won't play too seriously in the game.
