This is a signing that i am well pleased it, a perfect short term replacement for the injured Eriksen and a stop gap depth for Manchester United for the remaining 5 months of the season. It came late but it was worth it. Welcome Marcel Sabitzer to Manchester United

I am actually pretty surprised about that news. I followed the coverage of the deadline day on german sportsnews today in the early afternoon and one news or rumor there was, that Marcel Sabitzer will most likely go back to RB Leipzig. Seems like the things took a pretty big turn here. I just did a little research and it seems like the transfer to Manchester United is not done though. There is still no official confirmation from Manchester, Bayern or the player himself, so we still need to wait for that.
If that transfer goes through, then i think that ManU made a pretty good signing there. Sabitzer can be an exceptional midfielder if he is feeling good and also gets the support from the coach.

Today is the last day of the transfer windows of main leagues: ESP, GER, ENG and FRA

After much news and many attempts, Philippe Coutinho will remain at Aston Villa, at least until the next transfer window.
I honestly bet that he would go to Corinthians-Brazil because he is no longer playing well enough to continue in the premier league, but it seems that he did not want to leave, knowing that going back to Europe afterwards would be almost impossible.

Maybe there will be some unexpected contract in the last hours.
Which team do you think has hired the best in this transfer window?
Maybe Chelsea? Manchester United?

Arsenal signing jorginho can as a surprise to me , but the coach Arteta knows what's he want,  Youri Tieleman would have been a better signing than Jorginho because of what he brings to the team defensively, arsenal are leaving no area of the squad unattended to as they are improving every aspect of the squad with quality additions, Jorginho will try and settle things in midfield in the coming games.
Arteta wants to have a quick replacement for Thomas Partey in the defensive midfield position because Partey needs a substitute, which is the main Arsenal problem because Sambi Lokonga has been loaned out and Elenny, who is supposed to be his replacement, is also injured, so the signing of Jorginho will help because Partey will be able to rest in some games.

Youri Tieleman leaving Leicester depends of the performance of the time , if they can end up strong in the leave he's there best player at the moment so they won't allow him go just like that.
Leicester City are unwilling to let Youri Tieleman go because they are fighting for relegation, which is why Arsenal are looking for a temporary back up, as Moses Cassaido's deal is still complicated due to their second bid being rejected; however, there is still hope for Arsenal to sign Youri Tieleman at the end of the season.

Liverpool are thinking possibilities to gets N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea and his status will be free transfer this summer because possibly Kante will not gets contract extension and if Chelsea gets Enzo Fernandez from Benfica i think there is no reason for him to stayed at Chelsea and Liverpool indeed currently lack of midfielder but i don't know Kante will be the right solution for Liverpool or not because he was often to gets injured and indeed Kante used to is great midfielder but with his injured history some people are very doubt Kante will performing well again and i wish Klopp will considering this factor before bought him this summer
Liverpool's hope of getting Kante is very-very small.  believe me, it's impossible for Chelsea to let go of Kante (but i'm not so sure about the future of Jorginho, who will run out of contract this season too), without the presence of Kante (who has injured his hamstring since August last year), Chelsea's midfield feels very weak.  in the interview, potter said kante was ready to return to play with chelsea next month (that means february) to face dortmund in the champions league match.

Kante is still out due to hamstring injury and his return date has been predicted like February 20. There is still a long time period until this date. We don't even know how good he will be able to perform after his returnal. He will have lost seven months of his career due to his lasting injury in the end. I still doubt Chelsea to extend his contract but let's see. There is no official statement from their side as far as I can see. He already has 6 months left on his contract now.

Liverpool are said to be interested in signing him currently. Liverpool have been in search of a midfielder of course but they were looking for an attacking midfielder mostly. Maybe they might think of Kante in the subs for some time until he convinces them.

Arsenal are still thinking of signing Youri Tielemans. They are ready for a late move to sign him. He still hasn't extended his contract with Leicester as you know and he doesn't seem to have such intention as well.
Well i don't think Arsenal would be interested in Youri Tielemans again, at least not in this January winter transfer window, maybe in the summer, because they have already signed Jorginho from Chelsea to bolster their midfield. Though i didn't really hear too much rumors about Arsenal being 100% interested in Youri Tielemans in this window, as i am not sure there were any official bids for the Leicester midfielder.

Having said that, i think Youri Tielemans is going to leave to leave Leicester City pretty soon, they are having a bad season and they didn't have a good one last season as well, Youri he is a good player, thus i expect the Belgian to leave Leicester City for a better/big club.

Arsenal needed to strengthen their midfield, but signing Jorginho is a stop-gap solution only.
Their midfield is aging (Xhaka, Jorginho and Elneny will be 31 in the summer, Partey will be 30) and they will need to revisit this area of the team soon again.

It shows the switch in Chelesa's strategy as well - Jorginho was really important for them and they are letting him go quite cheaply. They have to trim their team and salary budget.
I also agreed that Arsenal midfielders are aging however Arsenal signed Jorginho as a backup for Thomas Partey and Xhaka who I think is far better than Lokonga, Arsenal having failed in their bid to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Lokonga might likely going on loan to Crystal Palace might have prompted the signing of Jorginho by Arteta, Arsenal main priority is to win the league this season wouldn't give any room for complacency, I believe at the end of the season Arsenal will likely table another bid for either Moises Caicedo or Declan Rice to replace their aging midfielders.

I don't know if I'm the only one that is not ok with Jorginho signing. Jorginho could not prove himself in Chelsea midfield when Kante was absent and beside Arsenal midfield is getting old or is old already. They just needed a younger replacement and not to add aged person again.

When Kante recovers from his injury, Chelsea should be able to extend the contract. The reason is, Kante will play an important role in sharpening attacks. Instead of selling it, I don't agree because so far Kante achievements have been extraordinary. even though at that time he was injured, many clubs were waiting for his recovery. For Chelsea, this is like an asset that must be welcomed, apart from Madrid who are interested, Arsenal and other rumors coming from Arab League clubs who also want to sign him, then added Kante also dreams of being able to appear wearing a Barcelona jersey.
Currently, when looking at the news a few months ago, there has actually been some news about Kante's contract and the results are still gray because Kante refused the extension proposed by Chelsea considering that there was an assumption that the clause given by Chelsea was inappropriate.
As for now, when looking at Kante's condition and the number of midfielders they have brought in this time, I think this will be difficult, especially if a few more players have been brought in, like Caicedo, this will threaten Kante in terms of position.

After the end of this season, N'Golo Kante will become a free agent, and many top clubs will be willing to get his service because he might be less expensive to grab. But Chelsea management is not willing to let him go that was why they are offering him a two years contract with the possibility of a one year extension. Although Kante is happy in Chelsea regardless of his moderate earnings, he wants a longer contract. There are speculations that he wants a three-year contract. Negotiations are still going on because Chelsea will not want to lose a player that has the strength, quality, and character.

Arsenal are still thinking of signing Youri Tielemans. They are ready for a late move to sign him. He still hasn't extended his contract with Leicester as you know and he doesn't seem to have such intention as well.

Because there is no meaning in staying at Leicester for him. Leicester are still under the threat of relegation this season as they are only one point away from the relegation zone. Tielemans is a skilled midfielder and he shouldn't waste his time with a team like this any longer. Arsenal would be a great choice for him. They are fighting for the league title and they will be in the Champions League next season. If he shows a solid performance he can be a member of the starting eleven as well.

With the current performance of Leicester City, I don't think any quality player will like to remain in a team that the owners are not willing to invest in. A Few seasons ago Youri Tielemans, was one of the best players in the English Premier League but the poor performance of his current club has affected his performance negatively. I think he will gladly accept a transfer deal to Arsenal.

Will he seek his luck back in the EPL when he has failed several times at several clubs there? I think this is too difficult especially with the price which is likely to be a little higher.
Indeed, in this case the current Tottenham coach Conte has a special affinity with Lukaku but I don't think he will be able to develop in the EPL because even with good conditions he could not develop at several clubs before, especially now with his performance declining.

Even if Lukaku decides to return to the English Premier League I think he shouldn't go to Tottenham. Newcastle would be a great choice for him on the other hand.

The reason why I think like this is that Tottenham already have Kane in the centre-forward position. It is like very difficult for nearly any striker to replace Kane in the team. I'm saying this considering that Lukaku would like to be a part of the starting eleven. Tottenham is not the right place for him about it. But Newcastle would be a favorable choice because he would easily play as their main striker there. Newcastle are already in search of strengthening their squad in every way so this would be nice for them.
Yeah I also think Lukaku will make more impact with Newcastle than with Tottenham. If he joins Spurs, they already have Harry Kane firing the team even in their unstable form but at Newcastle he will have Wilson to compete with and if you compare both players Lukaku has better stats than Wilson which means he will get more playing time and more opportunity to shine.

I think that the question can't be answered. I meant chelsea also wants to give him a new contract. AFAIK, it's not only Liverpool. Real madrid has been reportedly interested in kante too. Kante is such a great player for Chelsea. Kante has been getting so many trophies since he was coming to Chelsea. I think that kante is very close to fully recovering from his injury. I hope that Chelsea will give him a new contract since he was very important to the club. Kante is as good as reece james.

For the notice, Chelsea already agreed on contract extension with Ngolo Kante for a year or two, the issue to achieving this is that he is still currently Injured.
Real Madrid also do not need Kante, they could in the future but not currently, Kante's arrival while they still have Modric, Kross and Camavinga. Who should be among the list of selected player's.
I also wonder if Chelsea will permit the transfer of Kante to Liverpool, last time they did transfer business should be Fernando Torres.

Jorginho was not the right choice for Arteta to bring to the Emirates Stadium. however, signing a new midfielder has so far been elusive. the problem is, the offer made by the Gunners has been rejected by Brighton. despite rumors, Caicedo has begged to leave at the end of this January. Arsenal's second bid is believed to be around £70 million, but it is clearly still not enough for Brigthon. another name still on Arsenal's list is Amadou Onana, with a price tag of around £50m, but it is unclear whether Arsenal see him as an alternative to Caicedo. which in the end, Arsenal looked at other options in Jorginho as an alternative. at least until this season ends, and even then if a price agreement is made between Chelsea and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, journalist Jacque Talbot says that Arsenal have made a third bid for Caicedo in the last few hours. Talbot also claims Arsenal have worked out a deal so that Brighton will receive a large lump-sum payment upfront, with the remainder set for a future date. if the reports are true, it is great news to replace the rumored Partey who has been injured.
I think it's not about just getting the best player, but more about getting a player that would fit the system. If you have a system then a player that is not the best player in the world, could shine brighter than Messi or Mbappe, just because they are playing in a better situation.

I believe that we should be focusing more on how he will be asked to play, and not how good he is. Like everyone loves Saka these days, and I understand it because he is a good player but I guarantee you that if you take him and switch him with Salah, then you are going to see Saka playing worse and Salah better, because it's easier to play within a system that's winning, and Saka is doing just that. For a while everyone believed Salah was the best player in the world, not many think that now.

There are reports that Arsenal & Chelsea have agreed a £12m deal for Jorginho. And he’s going to sign 1& half contract with the option of a further year, after agreeing personal terms.  Honestly it’s not the kind of signing Arsenal fans had expected but he’s not a bad option to have on the bench TBH. Adds something to them, however small it might be. Partey is fit (hopefully he will remain fit), so Jorginho might have little to do. Then in summer they go again to sign better prospect in the midfield.
It seems that this is a pretty good option for Arsenal, considering that there is no clarity about the transfer of Moise Caseido until the close of the transfer market. Jorginho is a defensive midfielder who is quite experienced, although at the moment he has a declining form but I think he is indeed quite good as a substitute on the bench because we know Elneny is still doubtful to appear as a substitute because he is recovering from injury. According to reports by Fabrizio Romano he will be at the Emirates Stadium until 2024.
Declining form in Chelsea but Chelsea have not been the best recently so him having a new team could be what he needs to get back in form. He is a special player and there is no reason why he cannot regain his form and Arsenal will have one of the best penalty takers in the country which could help them progress in the table but in cup competitions too.

Partey can sit in front of Jorginho and have more creative options because he knows he is getting the cover. Arsenal might put Jorginho in front of Parety that could be another option but that would be putting him out of his regular position but it could work. Both of these players are creative players as well as good at tracking back and making the tackles. I think this could be a underrated signing for the season.
It's a good signing. As an Arsenal supporter, I'm gutted that we couldn't sign Caicedo but I'm glad we stuck to our valuation and didn't pay crazy money. 80M+ transfer automatically adds pressure on the player and we are at a critical stage of the season where we need some experience. And more importantly, it's obvious that his leadership quality and experience for this short term it will definitely help the team when the need arises definitely far better than Lokonga, so a good addition to the team.

Kante is a great player, but the injuries he has had have kept him out of sight now, and in fact I hardly ever hear any information or people talk about him at this time. His future at Chelsea is still unclear, but I'm also not too sure that Liverpool will really be serious about getting him. Because Liverpool now need more players who are physically ready, because for a player who is recovering from injury it will take time to get back to his best game. So things like this will be a consideration for teams that have serious problems.

It's terrible that Joao Cancelo and Pep Guardiola seem to have grown apart, since Cancelo has been an integral part of Manchester City's success over the last several seasons. City, however, has continued to be successful, as seen by their trophy case.

Manchester City will have to move swiftly to replace Cancelo or make do with the players they currently have on hand, as the winter transfer window ends tomorrow. Luckily, they have a few choices at left-back, including Nathan Ake and Serge Gomez. Finding a suitable replacement for him won't be simple, but remember that change is sometimes for the better. It's a chance for the team's supporting cast to step up, which might lead to the rise of new stars.

Clubs often face challenges when trying to replace star players during the transfer season. While a transfer window may seem like a quick fix, teams must carefully consider their alternatives to find a player who will complement their existing roster and help the club go forward. The club's budget would likely be affected significantly by any new addition, thus financial considerations must be made.
I'm shocked at the turn of events, however we have witnessed some shocking exits from Manchester City in recent windows just like the exit of Ferran Torres, Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus and now João Cancelo. This is really surprising seeing these exits because at Manchester City I expect players to feel at rest and comfortable because they are a big club.
