Arsenal signing jorginho can as a surprise to me , but the coach Arteta knows what's he want,  Youri Tieleman would have been a better signing than Jorginho because of what he brings to the team defensively, arsenal are leaving no area of the squad unattended to as they are improving every aspect of the squad with quality additions, Jorginho will try and settle things in midfield in the coming games.
Arteta wants to have a quick replacement for Thomas Partey in the defensive midfield position because Partey needs a substitute, which is the main Arsenal problem because Sambi Lokonga has been loaned out and Elenny, who is supposed to be his replacement, is also injured, so the signing of Jorginho will help because Partey will be able to rest in some games.
He becomes a worthy replacement, especially with the ability and experience he has, this is clearly very profitable for Arsenal. On the age side, he can still be counted on because regardless of anything, 31 years old is still very capable of competing.
They did lose a few players in recovery and this is a very good addition of course for Arsenal.

Now we just have to wait to see if Arsenal will sign another player as the rumors of an upcoming midfielder for Arsenal still exist at the moment for the nearest.
I understand that Jorginho is the wrong side of 30 and cannot replicate Thomas Partey’s role. But with Mohamed Elneny facing an extended injury layoff, and Sambi going to Crystal palace, Arsenal remain short in holding midfield. It’s not really a replacement for Thomas Partey, but bringing in another midfielder to thicken the depth. Honestly, it’s a good signing, €12M for a proven EPL player that brings in depth and experience to this squad isn't too bad. And it's only a short term fix as the contract also suggests.
Arteta is building a title contender team, with the jorginho arrival to the team is a boost to the team.Arsenal is playing impressive game and a team to  beat, Thomas partey will partner with jorginho in the midfield, Arteta can adopt two defensive midfielders using Thomas partey and jorginho.
Thomas partey has been  part of the team, and there's no way jorginho Will replace him immediately, I think Arteta has a lot of decision to make in the team starting up.

To be honest, I don't expect much from Jorginho. however because Arsenal didn't get what they wanted from several of the midfielders they had their eye on in the January transfer window, in particular failing to sign Caicedo from Brighton. Jorginho, could be an option to replace Thomas Partey. at least, Jorginho can be relied on by Arteta considering he has a long experience in the Premier League.

According to rumors, the arrival of Jorginho clearly made coach Mikel Arteta happy because he is an admirer of the player. however, it is reported that the voice of the Gunners supporters broke because Jorginho had difficulty showing his best performance with Chelsea. Meanwhile, if you look at the skills he has. Jorginho has a plus, he has more accurate passing accuracy than Partey and Caicedo. apart from that, whatever Arteta does. as a Gunners fan, I hope he can perform well with his new team.

The winter transfer market is over and at the same time Enzo Fernandez, who was recently brought in by Chelsea from Benfica, made him the most expensive player purchase in the English Premier League and managed to break the transfer record previously held by Jack Grealish when he moved to Man City from Aston Villa. Rumors that have been talked about for 1 month about Enzo Fernandez's move to Chelsea have finally come true today.

For me it is absolutely crazy what FC Chelsea was doing during this winter transfer period. It will be interesting to see what players will leave the club now in the summer. If they are losing players like Havertz for example then i don't really think that the overall quality of the squad of Chelsea has improved even though they have spent an ridiculously high amount of money.
I also have to say, that i think that it is absolutely stupid to pay a transfer fee of 130M€ for a player that "only" has a market value of 55M€. Enzo Fernandez has played a great world cup there is no doubt about that, but that is not enough to justify such an extremely high transfer fee. Chelsea has just gone mad.

I really want Arsenal to win this season of the Premier League, just to prove that football isn't all about money.
Don't get me wrong. Arsenal also spends lots of money on football players, but they are moderate, in comparison to the Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Man City madness on the transfer market.
Chelsea looks like Manchester United from several tears ago-spending insane amounts of money and desperately wanting to buy a bunch of overpriced players, assuming that this will solve all their problems. Well, it didn't solve any problems for Manchester United and it won't solve the problem for Chelsea. The problem is the manager, not the players.

Damn, Chelsea finished the transfer window with 570 million euros net spend.
Enzo Fernandez is a good player but 120 million seems way over the line.

8 new players in this transfer window alone - somebody's been playing too much Football Manager.
I wonder where will all these players get playing minutes if Chelsea misses out on European spots.

It's hard to understand why Enzo was so expensive, since he was just average at the World Cup. It is indeed a huge deal for Enzo, and I hope that he repays the amount with an outstanding performance. The club has signed eight new players in this transfer window alone, but most won't get enough playing time and will end up being a waste of money. Signing so many young players was a huge gamble for Chelsea, but somehow they all didn't lived up to what was expected.

Did you see how they paid for that transfer to avoid financial fair play? They just made a deal with some company where that company pays Benfica full amount immediately and then they will pay back in rates over period of multiple years

At this moment finacial fair play has to be enforced strictly or dismissed. This is getting ridiculous and has no point whatsoever.

Yeah, but it has been happening for years - PSG's Neymar deal being by far the worst in my opinion considering that Neymar's release clause wasn't even paid by PSG but by Qatar World Cup sponsorship deal.
City had huge sponsorship deals, we have seen clubs exchanging 10m players with 50m players, loans with huge initial fees being paid..

It is a joke for a while. I know most people don't want to hear it, but salary cap is a perfect solution for such cases. With it, clubs would not have 70 players on the books and 50 loan transfers per season.

Yes this is crazy, a fantastic one-season transfer record. I see on social media if they have spent more than 600 million pounds when coupled with bonuses. Chelsea are smart enough, they sign players with a long enough time duration contract. This makes the annual expenses smaller and this they use to avoid FFP. With this action it looks like Chelsea will be a club under serious scrutiny from UEFA. Even with this incident, there will probably be new rules regarding transfers. If Chelsea still fail next year maybe Potter should go.  Grin

Jorginho from Stamford Bridge to Emirates Stadium. Enzo Fernandez from Benfica to Chelsea. Pedro Porro to Tottenham, Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich to Manchester United.
The Premier League is the most active club in player transfers. We'll see which players will be the most successful signings in England.
While Manchester City loaned Cancelo to Bayern Munich, will it have an impact on the strength of Pep's team in competing for trophies? Was it the right decision?

Liverpool are thinking possibilities to gets N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea and his status will be free transfer this summer because possibly Kante will not gets contract extension and if Chelsea gets Enzo Fernandez from Benfica i think there is no reason for him to stayed at Chelsea and Liverpool indeed currently lack of midfielder but i don't know Kante will be the right solution for Liverpool or not because he was often to gets injured and indeed Kante used to is great midfielder but with his injured history some people are very doubt Kante will performing well again and i wish Klopp will considering this factor before bought him this summer
I think that the question can't be answered. I meant chelsea also wants to give him a new contract. AFAIK, it's not only Liverpool. Real madrid has been reportedly interested in kante too. Kante is such a great player for Chelsea. Kante has been getting so many trophies since he was coming to Chelsea. I think that kante is very close to fully recovering from his injury. I hope that Chelsea will give him a new contract since he was very important to the club. Kante is as good as reece james.
Liverpool should hunt for another midfielder, ngolo isn't leaving chelsea, if he was to do that, Real Madrid would have been preferable, which also is not hapening. I hope to see Kante play again in chelsea squad. Already Gorginjo has been given out, it will be of a big loss to see Kante work out.  Chelsea's midfield proved deficient ever since Kante's injury, I'm just praying that Enzo plays up to expectation because the amount that is been spent on him is quite too much and I think chelsea is only doing this out of frustration.

Most crazy thing did by Chelsea after break new expensive transfer record in English Primer League signing Enzo Fernandez from Benfica over 130 million euro and latest transfer di by Manchester City with Jack Grealish above 124 million euro. Except winning FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy with Argentina seems not any special performance or achievement from Enzo Fernandez with Benfica.
That's crazy transfer. If you are thinking there's no something special from enzo and this might be true but I just remind you that he has won world cup. His performance with benfica is quite well at this moment. Buying a player is not about seeing his history and achievements with the club. I believe chelsea's management has been thinking so hard about that. Chelsea was always doing this thing since Abramovich was coming to Chelsea. Todd has become another successor for Abramovich by spending so much money in one season.
It's caused by the transfer fees being spread over so many years.

I don't think what his special and has most expensive transfer values, actually Chelsea try to second break transfer values record after first offering not reach agreement and Benfica not deal with lower values. Lets waiting Enzo Fernandez debut with Chelsea and how possibility he can bring The Blues back to the top fourth standing position.
I think that we have different opinions regarding him compared with potter. potter was seeing something special from him as well as mudryk who already bought from Shakhtar Donetsk. We shall not judge him too early before trying to see how good he will be playing with Chelsea.

Rather than being a substitute, Arteta could play Jorginho alongside Xhaka and Partey in midfield with Odegaard being deployed a little further forward under the striker.
So far Arteta is still sticking with the 4-3-3 formation, who knows by playing 3 defenders and 4 midfielders can be an alternative if the stock of stickers owned by Arsenal is injured.
Regarding Elneny, for me this Egyptian midfielder is less consistent in Arsenal's midfield even though he has been marginalised due to injury.

If you think about 3 defenders for Arsenal, then what do you think about Zinchenko's role this season? Do you mean it's better to leave Zinchenko on the bench and prefer to let Jorginho play with Xhaka, Partey and Odegaard in midfield? It seems that your opinion is a little inconsequential, Arsenal have appeared very consistently, always relying on 3 midfielders and the role of each of their fullbacks, one of which is Zinchenko. He is a versatile player who can place his position, sometimes helping attack, helping midfield and helping defense, he is everywhere and it seems you don't watch Arsenal's games so far.
It's just an alternative for Arteta if some of his attacking players are injured. So far Arteta has managed to provide the best results for Arsenal who occupy 1st place in the Premier League standings because 4-3-3 is the right formation.

Zinchenko is indeed one of the players who is very instrumental in Arsenal's success in winning every point both at home and away despite his position as a defender and for me he is Arteta's best purchase. Relax guys, I'm not suggesting to leave Zinchenko on the bench.
If we look at the depth of Arsenal's squad, maybe Jorginho doesn't need to be brought in because the central midfield stock is already plentiful.

I watch the Premier League almost every week and I would choose to watch Arsenal if Manchester United didn't have a fixture with Arsenal.

According to this analysis, Manchester United has spent more money in the transfer window than Chelsea and Manchester City over the years, but there is no trophy to show for it; Manchester City and Chelsea have more trophies to show for it, while Manchester United can only back it up with a Europa League cup.

I can see Ten Hag working hard to bring victory back to Manchester United; I just hope the team can maintain consistency and make more history.

because Manchester United really need a midfielder to keep thier hope of making top four and hope of winning a trophy this season alive.
MU also needs a playmaker to support the attacker. So far they don't have it even shadow it from Bruno. I heard about Raphinha is not good on the squad and listed on the sale list in Barcelona. So if MU still focus on ball supplier, I think Rapinha is enough suitable to fill up on center. I know he is the winger, but he can move to another field when got the ball.

Manchester United has signed Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich and I think it's a good business for United. He scored 2 goals in his 40 appearances at Bayern Munich which is not impressive but where he was able to make his marks was at Salzburg and Liebzig where he puts really good stats. I just hope ETH can get him to his best because I think the lad is talented. He can play a good number of positions.
This is quick decision from Ten Hag because before Eriksen got injured Manchester United has decide to stopped buy more players this winter but everything was change after Ten Hag seeing Eriksen recent condition which is probably he will be absense until May early

And i have to say Marcel Sabitzer performance during with Bayern was not so impressive even this season he has 15 times to play with only a single goal and he has lost to compete with other players on midfielder position and my question is could he will be able to takeover Eriksen position and performing well because i fear this is only panic buying because Manchester United have no more time to find another players because of deadline winter transfer will be happened today

Well actually Grilish's transfer was more reckless, after all Enzo Fernandez is the world champion, the best young player of the world championship, it is clear what they give 130 million for. I think Grilish was not worth that much money then and is not worth it now. So the purchase of Fernandes is a contribution to the future of the team, in addition, Jorginho left and now there will be less competition for Fernandes.

The creaziest thing that has ever happened in EPL. Chelsea has been spending more than 600 millions if the transfer for enzo become a true story. Im still waiting for official announcement from chelsea. I heard that another news if the transfer of ziyech from chelsea to the PSG was cancelled caused by chelsea was mistakenly sent wrong documents. How can the blues was making it happen? As far as i know that if chelsea never makes a mistake like that.
So many great transfers in EPL were coming from MU and Chelsea. I would not feel doubt if both were richest clubs in EPL.

Raphinha didn't suit Barcelona.

There are some rumors about him being moved from Barcelona to the united.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-deadline-day-29085247

I don't know whether united was still trying to bring him to the old trafford or not. it seems like the dead line already passed and sabitzer has become united's choice during the deadline before the end of the transfer season in January. It seems MU is still believing it weghorst.

It would be so good if raphinja will be joined with united but it seems like a dream now.

When you talk of a playmaker, Manchester United has a player called Anthony who came in from Ajax but hasn't really settled in well in the club. It's difficult to see him beat a player these days for Manchester United, all he does is dance around with the ball at the right wing.
As a fan I hate to see such charade going on within the pitch when we have a game to win.

Manchester United don't need Raphina, it was actually Chelsea chasing the brazilian at the start of the season but he choose Barcelona as he's first choice. He suits Barcelona, it's just that Dembele has been very consistent making him having lesser game to play.
