It seems that this is a pretty good option for Arsenal, considering that there is no clarity about the transfer of Moise Caseido until the close of the transfer market. Jorginho is a defensive midfielder who is quite experienced, although at the moment he has a declining form but I think he is indeed quite good as a substitute on the bench because we know Elneny is still doubtful to appear as a substitute because he is recovering from injury. According to reports by Fabrizio Romano he will be at the Emirates Stadium until 2024.
Rather than being a substitute, Arteta could play Jorginho alongside Xhaka and Partey in midfield with Odegaard being deployed a little further forward under the striker.
So far Arteta is still sticking with the 4-3-3 formation, who knows by playing 3 defenders and 4 midfielders can be an alternative if the stock of stickers owned by Arsenal is injured.
Regarding Elneny, for me this Egyptian midfielder is less consistent in Arsenal's midfield even though he has been marginalised due to injury.

If you think about 3 defenders for Arsenal, then what do you think about Zinchenko's role this season? Do you mean it's better to leave Zinchenko on the bench and prefer to let Jorginho play with Xhaka, Partey and Odegaard in midfield? It seems that your opinion is a little inconsequential, Arsenal have appeared very consistently, always relying on 3 midfielders and the role of each of their fullbacks, one of which is Zinchenko. He is a versatile player who can place his position, sometimes helping attack, helping midfield and helping defense, he is everywhere and it seems you don't watch Arsenal's games so far.

Liverpool are thinking possibilities to gets N'Golo Kanté from Chelsea and his status will be free transfer this summer because possibly Kante will not gets contract extension and if Chelsea gets Enzo Fernandez from Benfica i think there is no reason for him to stayed at Chelsea and Liverpool indeed currently lack of midfielder but i don't know Kante will be the right solution for Liverpool or not because he was often to gets injured and indeed Kante used to is great midfielder but with his injured history some people are very doubt Kante will performing well again and i wish Klopp will considering this factor before bought him this summer
I think that the question can't be answered. I meant chelsea also wants to give him a new contract. AFAIK, it's not only Liverpool. Real madrid has been reportedly interested in kante too. Kante is such a great player for Chelsea. Kante has been getting so many trophies since he was coming to Chelsea. I think that kante is very close to fully recovering from his injury. I hope that Chelsea will give him a new contract since he was very important to the club. Kante is as good as reece james.

Late to the news but good old Dyche is back (I thought it would be Bielsa really): who here believes he's going to go turn Everton into full Burnley and get Weghorst types up front again? To be fair, that might not be the worst thing for the Blues right now.

I wonder if also about Potter not knowing what he's doing or can he really be blameless here?

I don't think he's got a say in it to be honest.
Who wants to have a team of 35 players - that is an unmanageable situation for any manager, let alone an inexperienced one (which Potter is on that level).

They are making some sort of a long-term plan, bringing in young players with potential and giving them 10-year contracts.
I have said it before but I'll repeat it once again - I see this backfiring spectacularly.

Yeah, I'm just having a dig at him even though he's got nothing to do with the misery I'm feeling right now. My kid keeps reminding me about him (I talked him up a lot of Brighton this season) and that I should also now talk up Conte (who, now might be overseeing some crazy transfers if the rumour mill is right).

igehhh will not be happy if I say this but I hope you're right about spectacular backfires.

@bering Kante to Liverpool, come on, man.

There are reports that Arsenal & Chelsea have agreed a £12m deal for Jorginho. And he’s going to sign 1& half contract with the option of a further year, after agreeing personal terms.  Honestly it’s not the kind of signing Arsenal fans had expected but he’s not a bad option to have on the bench TBH. Adds something to them, however small it might be. Partey is fit (hopefully he will remain fit), so Jorginho might have little to do. Then in summer they go again to sign better prospect in the midfield.

Declining form in Chelsea but Chelsea have not been the best recently so him having a new team could be what he needs to get back in form. He is a special player and there is no reason why he cannot regain his form and Arsenal will have one of the best penalty takers in the country which could help them progress in the table but in cup competitions too.

Partey can sit in front of Jorginho and have more creative options because he knows he is getting the cover. Arsenal might put Jorginho in front of Parety that could be another option but that would be putting him out of his regular position but it could work. Both of these players are creative players as well as good at tracking back and making the tackles. I think this could be a underrated signing for the season.
I never saw this transfer coming, this the beauty of football, unpredicted transfer. Is a good signing for Arsenal, this is a team that's ready to fight for the premier league tittle Arteta has really made a good signing this period and am proud of them.

Manchester United is bidding for Marcel Sabitze from from Bayern Munich because Erick is injured and his rule out till May or April. Manchester United needs replacement

The bench? Jorginho is good enough to start in midfield with Partey and when Partey is not available he can fill in. Partey is injury prone to so he is often injured. I think it is a good signing and it is a short contract to minimize the risk and if he performs well we can extend his contract, I think this is good business and shows Arsenal are looking beyond this season even though they are top of the league.

Arsenal needed to strengthen their midfield, but signing Jorginho is a stop-gap solution only.
Their midfield is aging (Xhaka, Jorginho and Elneny will be 31 in the summer, Partey will be 30) and they will need to revisit this area of the team soon again.

It shows the switch in Chelesa's strategy as well - Jorginho was really important for them and they are letting him go quite cheaply. They have to trim their team and salary budget.
I don't think necessary with Arsenal recruit new holding midfielder because they have many option in this position right now from Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny. Its seems spent much money due Jorginho still left contract with Chelsea expiring until end season.

Actually Jorginho not has potential performance due he has slow moving at midfielder area, but depending with Mikel Arteta really need him and waiting for end this season and become free agent player, left few hours later before window transfer close and excited to know who will be new player for Arsenal.

So Arsenal will spend £ 12 million to bring Jorginho to the Emirates Stadium as a replacement option?
I do not know whether this decision is right or not, but what is clear is that Arsenal have the combination of Xhaka, Partey and Odegaard which is the favorite of coach Mikel Arterta.

Jorginho will probably spend more time on the bench, the future of his career will encounter problems because previously Jorginho was one of the favorites in Chelsea's starting eleven.

Jorginho was not the right choice for Arteta to bring to the Emirates Stadium. however, signing a new midfielder has so far been elusive. the problem is, the offer made by the Gunners has been rejected by Brighton. despite rumors, Caicedo has begged to leave at the end of this January. Arsenal's second bid is believed to be around £70 million, but it is clearly still not enough for Brigthon. another name still on Arsenal's list is Amadou Onana, with a price tag of around £50m, but it is unclear whether Arsenal see him as an alternative to Caicedo. which in the end, Arsenal looked at other options in Jorginho as an alternative. at least until this season ends, and even then if a price agreement is made between Chelsea and Arsenal.

Meanwhile, journalist Jacque Talbot says that Arsenal have made a third bid for Caicedo in the last few hours. Talbot also claims Arsenal have worked out a deal so that Brighton will receive a large lump-sum payment upfront, with the remainder set for a future date. if the reports are true, it is great news to replace the rumored Partey who has been injured.

If Chelsea succeeds in signing Enzo Fernandez, Jorginoh will completely be of no use because it will be a perfect per between Enzo and Kante or Enzo and Kovasic, we can be using Gallager and chukwuemeka in some matches as second option.  I see no huge loss in selling out Jorginho to Arsenal. This season, Jorginoh has succeeded in contributing nothing in Chelsea matches other than mistakes. I quest his style of play may be good for Arsenal.
that's it. There was also another point that if chelsea needs so many young talented players. Enzo gonna be perfect for Chelsea but the problem is his clause release is very big I believe chelsea has funds to pay his clause release. Everton already targeted Gallagher, I think that Gallagher will be going to the everton very soon. Jorginho has not been performing so well in Chelsea. Chelsea needs a better player than him. i don't think he will be suitable for arsenal too. let's see how the deal between Chelsea and benfica will be going on.
Im waiting for official announcement from Chelsea.

I hope Youri Tielemans picks the red devils just imagine the midfield we would have. It would be the best in the league even better then Manchester City and I think we will see a signing up front too. Ten Hag should have no doubters he removed the toxicity of Ronaldo without any thought and he turned the team around in a matter of months and turned us into a team that is feared again. He bought one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and now he is going to get Tielemans who will just take us to the next level.

At the end of the transfer market this time, Arsenal again made a big surprise by claiming that they were also interested in Tielemans, because Tielemans had no intention of extending his contract at Leicester. Let's see which team will get his services because Tielemenas is one of the good midfielders in the EPL.

Jorginho has ever won europa legue and champion league with Chelsea. he was a fully experienced players. Chelsea may agree to let him leave from the club as long as arsenal was giving very good offer for him. He is even better compared with caicedo but the problem is his age is not young anymore. arsenal has been using him as a secondary choice when arsenal's offer for brighton will be rejected again. The chance for jorginho moves to the arsenal is really big right now. Chelsea is a party who can still determine the future of him.

Supposedly because Arteta is interested in Jorginho, Chelsea must be wary of that, even though he is currently 31 years old but with the good experience he has, Arsenal is still interested in him, I still think that Jorginho really deserves to move to Arsenal and can be a midfielder choice for Arteta who is building an arsenal.

Chelsea have been the most active club in recruiting players since being taken over by Boehly with spending more or less as you mentioned if Fernadez really arrived at Stamford Bridge. Can we see next season how Chelsea's development under Graham Potter.

At the moment Potter has not really seen success in providing good results for Chelsea. I want to say Potter's success or failure is not this season, but next season with the amount of spending that Boehly has spent.

The transfer that will be very successful in my opinion is the transfer made by Eddie Howe against Anthony Gordon from Everton.
Newcastle in terms of player transfers are not too incessant, but quite satisfying results.
Chelsea will never make any progress no matter the amount of players they may buy if they don't change Potter Graham he's not fit to be Chelsea coach.he lacks the skills to lead Chelsea to at victory. I plead with Boehly to show him the way out and hire an experienced coach.
It seems to be the only way out that is best for Chelsea although I would say it may be a judgement of whether or not Potter succeeds next season with the number of players that have come to Stamford Bridge.

When Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel and brought in Graham Potter, I didn't think it was the right decision to fill Chelsea's trophy cabinet because Potter hasn't proven to be successful with a big club like Tuchel. GP only managed to maximise Brighton's win at the time and for us that wasn't enough. But either way, Boehly should give Potter a chance until next season. If next season also does not see a positive impact on Chelsea's appearance, Boehly must make a new decision by finding a replacement.

Not only that, Chelsea will also release several players such as Hakim Ziyech and Jorginho but there is no definite agreement yet, but for Hakim Ziyech it seems he will go to PSG with an offer of 17 million EUR if I'm not mistaken.
If Chelsea agree to accept 17 Millions Euro to let Ziyech join to PSG, Potter is really stupid since he doesn't know about business. Ziyech's market value currently is 22 Millions Euro, so it mean Chelsea will not earn anything if they sold Ziyech.

Jorginho is really important for Chelsea, even he's play for central midfielder or central defensive midfielder, but he has a sense to score a goal. He's quite unique although he can't compete with Ngolo Kante which is Kante is really a pure midfielder who's have clean tackle and fast to create counter attack strategy.

Still, with the current Chelsea's midfielder, there's no one have same level as Jorginho. It's a huge loss if Chelsea sold him to Arsenal.

I don't know whether Chelsea sold Hakim Ziyech at that price in a hurry to cover Enzo Fernández's transfer fee or did he really not needed at Chelsea even though in my opinion he played a very important role at Chelsea as an attacking winger.
But if Hakim Ziyech's market value is above that then Chelsea will certainly suffer a slight loss in the business of selling Ziyech.

Jorginho is indeed a unique midfielder who has a different character but Arsenal at the end of the closing wanted to get the midfielder plus Jorginho will end his contract this summer Chelsea did not want to extend the contract but what is clear is that rumors are close at the end of the closing transfer window.
that's a good price rather than still defending him to stay even longer in Chelsea ziyech itself already agreed with the decision that is already given by the club. He wants to leave chelsea. Chelsea will have too many players sitting on the bench if some old players won't be sold to another club.
Chelsea already agreed with PSG about his transfer and this can be ziyech will be going to PSG as soon as possible. Jorginho is not yet confirmed about how many prices being offered by arsenal. i guess if brighton is still not interested to sell caicedo, arsenal will be going for jorginho.
As far as I know the third offer already submitted by arsenal for brighten.

I'm very surprised with the news that Cancelo is joining Bayern Munich on loan. Because there is no meaning in Manchester City to let one of their crucial players go so easily. I know that they have Sergio Gomez as an alternative left-back but it is still not a sensible move. Cancelo has been one of the key players in defense. He has been more like a offensive back actually and he has scored lovely goals in addition to his contribution with his passes. This is going to be a very favourable deal for Bayern Munich and they have an option to buy him also.
His contribution for Manchester City in the last 4 season is very vital that he has help this team to gets several trophies but rumour mention Joao Cancelo relationship with Guardiola it got worse and they were never greeted each other again in the last 2 months it because Cancelo feel his vision doesn't same again with Guardiola moreover in the last 3 matches Guardiola didn't played him as starting line up and against Arsenal too on FA cup

This transfer happened because Cancelo personally asking to Manchester City to release him to other club and they don't have much time to find Cancelo replacement because winter transfer window will be closed tomorrow but this shouldn't be a problem for Manchester City because they didn't lack of players on left back position and currently they have Nathan Ake and Serge Gomez
It's terrible that Joao Cancelo and Pep Guardiola seem to have grown apart, since Cancelo has been an integral part of Manchester City's success over the last several seasons. City, however, has continued to be successful, as seen by their trophy case.

Manchester City will have to move swiftly to replace Cancelo or make do with the players they currently have on hand, as the winter transfer window ends tomorrow. Luckily, they have a few choices at left-back, including Nathan Ake and Serge Gomez. Finding a suitable replacement for him won't be simple, but remember that change is sometimes for the better. It's a chance for the team's supporting cast to step up, which might lead to the rise of new stars.

Clubs often face challenges when trying to replace star players during the transfer season. While a transfer window may seem like a quick fix, teams must carefully consider their alternatives to find a player who will complement their existing roster and help the club go forward. The club's budget would likely be affected significantly by any new addition, thus financial considerations must be made.
