Manchester City's big-money deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Norway striker Erling Haaland, 21, could be announced next week. So it seems like the big deal is finally over  Grin
~

Next season City's moneybag will again be knocked out by some team with character from the Champions League and Guardiola will ask for another billion dollars to buy up the next stars  Roll Eyes Grin
I wonder if Guardiola will ever be brave enough to take on coaching teams not on the level of Bayern, Barcelona or City, will he be able to achieve at least some success?  Roll Eyes

I do not understand what exactly Manchester City wants to achieve in having a strong and formidable first eleven, second eleven and third eleven.
A player like Grealish is now a second team player because of over squad.
I wonder where Guardiola will play DeJong, Haaland and Pogba if he gets all these players.
Well, it could be that it is not a preparation to lift the champions league next season. It could be a ploy to have different teams that will lift all the trophies in England as Jurgen Klopp is about doing this season.
I'm sure Mancity wants to win the UCL so they're extravagant in spending, even if this doesn't cost the team the same thing as PSG, they do the UCL hunt for the trophy, no matter how expensive a player they buy.
Pep Guardiola already knows their tactics will definitely design their new strategy next season with some new players, but by adding the squad I think his mentality is getting stronger.
For the EPL Mancity can master it every season but for the UCL it's very difficult.

Manchester city is so hungry for the UEFA Champions League that I think they will leave no stone unturned to get that title.
I think they are going to design the whole team just for the one title because that is something they have to prove so badly.
I also agree that they might go for bigger transfers this season and bring in some new faces.

Only Manchester City can deal with a £500K euro salary for each week and sign a clauses contract of £75 M euro. If Dortmund Director has told like that, Haaland will possibly have a medical check-up in Manchester for the next few months, but we still have to wait for confirmation from another side. Is there a chance that Haaland will refuse the offers?, because of the news that I heard, Haaland really wants to play in Barcelona?

salaries and transfer fees are not a problem for Manchester city to bring in Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund especially at this time Manchester city really needs a striker like Haaland, considering he has performed so well with Borussia Dortmund this season, to bring in the Norwegian passport player is not easy For Manchester City, considering the two Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, they also want the services of these young players, especially since Erling Haaland is more interested in joining Real Madrid or Barcelona, the fee that Borussia Dortmund has set at £75 million isn't it a problem for Manchester City? be an interesting transfer where Erling Haaland anchored next season
The goal scoring machine that this team possesses will dismantle any team in the world. This is good news for Manchester City. A striker like Haaland would help them immensely this year, as they struggled with a proper striker this season. Pep always buys cheap, unknown players to dominate the league by bringing highly talented players to his squad. Manchester City are good at buying big players. However, they have yet to win a single UCL trophy. I hope Halaand will assist them in that regard.

I am pretty sure that it is both not the players and not Pep himself neither, it's just a bit about getting unlucky at that point. I mean we are talking about 2 goals in 1-2 minute span, you do not have a roster that prevents exactly that, or a manager that will prevent that. That's just unlucky situation, you can build the greatest team ever from the greatest ever players and you will still not be able to stop unluckiness, if that happens that happens.

Real was looking like they were gone for 90 minutes, and then on 91th they just got lucky. I believe that if they keep repeating the situation again and again and again, eventually they will win UCL for sure, maybe it took longer than it should, but it's still there and they can still do it.

I think not problem for Manchester City have to pay £500K euro salary for each week for Haaland, but any speculation with Haaland future will closely announce one week later based on several rumors. I am waiting Haaland can try primer league than Lla Liga or Serie A because he has decision competitive league and waiting could consistent performance with Primer League the same on Bundesliga, or make his career can running well when moving to Primer League as most competitive league in the world.

Yeah, Ornstein from the Athletic has all but confirmed it as well. If something totally unexpected does not happen in the next few days, Haaland will be a City player next season.

To bring a young player of such quality to an already world class team is a great move - especially since they have been missing a true striker since Aguero left. They will be even a bigger threat and a better team next season.

I can only hope Liverpool can respond to this with a few good transfers of their own. This City team looks almost unbeatable.

Barcelona want to sign 27-year-old Manchester City's Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva. This would be a good deal for Barcelona, but what Silva will decide?
Arsenal could be thwarted in their bid to sign 24-year-old Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez with Inter Milan not looking to sell him. Will Arsenal and Inter agree in the end?
Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham hopes Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, will remain at Old Trafford next season. Ronaldo has told his team-mates he will stay at Manchester United if incoming manager Erik ten Hag wants him. It seems that Ronaldo will eventually stay in Manchester after all.
Former Netherlands midfielder Fred Rutten turned down an offer to become one of Erik ten Hag's assistants at Manchester United and is set to return to PSV Eindhoven. It seems that it is not easy for ten Hag to find assistants in his new club.

Rumors circulated that Mansour was willing to write a check worth £300 million for Guardiola to spend in the summer of 2022. Even though so far Pep Guardiola has spent more than 1 trillion Pounds just to maneuver in the transfer market but success in the Champions League has not yet been felt by Manchester City.

with the 300 million pounds that will be issued by the owner of the city, I still have a hard time guessing who will be bought by guardiola. The transfer market this season will definitely be hot because the ambition of the City owner to win the UCL for the first time is really big. btw, the rumors that guardiola is targeting pogba are not true (the issue).

100 million would have gotten the job done, signature of Cristiano Ronaldo.
A born winner and a clear hunter of the Champions League.
Although Pep Guardiola has tried for Manchester City since he came in as head Coach.
In the beginning of this season both Manchester clubs bidded for Ronaldo, infact some news report circulated that time was in the verge of signing for Man City because money wasn't the issue, unfortunately he eventually signed Man Utd, I also read a news that he changed his decision after Sir Alex Ferguson influenced him, Gourdiola tried every possible means to sign him, however had he sign for City he would have made a big impact especially in their failed bids to win UCL back to back, summer transfer windows is coming up who knows his next destination?

Manchester city's ambition to win the UCL title will still continue even though they have already reached the semifinals and finals but they have not been able to capture the title of the big ear and most recently they were eliminated by Spanish giants real Madrid in the semifinals, where Pep Guardiola himself currently not targeting players who will be brought to the Etihad stadium while rumors of Paul Pogba are only limited to this issue Guardiola still relies on Kevin de Bruyne and also Ilkay Gundogan in the midfield sector and does not need new personnel because currently Manchester city is focusing on a front line where they intend to sign erling haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the next transfer window

I personally think that Guardiola has done everything for Manchester city, he has also put all his strength and skill to be able to get the champions league title this season, but fate says otherwise, most likely magic from Africa is still a very big curse for Pepguardiola, because Yaya Toure once said Pep Guardiola will never be able to lift the Champions League trophy with City, if Pogba's problem is most likely Pep Guardiola will not bring him to Manchester City.

Manchester City's dreams were dashed this year as well. They wanted to win the champions league and Real Madrid ended their desire. In the second leg of the semi-final match, 2 goals scored in 2 minutes while they were reaching the final, knocked Manchester City out of the cup. Let's see if Pep will stay at Manchester City next year. There must be tension between the president and his deputies and the players.

Manchester city ambition is not only to get the champions league trophy but to dominate the europe for the next decade , no wonder the city owner keep pushing the limit by spending huge amount of money every single year .. they are accumulating .. investing in very long term project , the ROI itself won't come in 10 or 15 years , it might takes more than just 15 years but would be worth it!

Haaland must be their number 1 target , pogba might bbe just a cheap rumours.

United fans are angry at him anyway because he hasn't lived up to their expectations, but if he moves to the light blue side of the city, he could become one of the most hated players among Red Devils fans.
Pogba's disappointing spell at United would mean nothing if he moves to City, cause that is where the attention will shift to for United fans, they would consider it unacceptable if one of their own goes over to their crossroad rivals, i know it has happened quite a few times in the past, but such players are always greeted with hate/animosity by fans of their former club, and that is what Pogba would face should this happen, it could even go as far as him receiving threats from a few United fans. Having said that, this is just rumor for now, i see no reason why City would want to sign Pogba, they have enough midfielders for now, and there seem to be no need to add another to their payroll. What City need now is a world class striker and maybe fullbacks, cause they look short in that position. Other than that i do not see any need for new additions.
Personally, I wouldn't be too surprised if Pogba turns out to be part of Manchester City, but I still think this transfer is unlikely. Pogba is a free agent after the end of the season, and Manchester City is a club with great ambitions and the same great financial opportunities, so the appearance of such rumors is not a surprising fact. By the way, there is new information that Pogba is a priority transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain and the club intends to resolve this issue in the summer transfer window. The player himself seems to have not yet decided where he will continue his career and will make a decision when the season ends.

There is no doubt Pogba is good talent and any team will be happy to have him in his team with now next month he is going to be free agent most chances he is going into some big team like PSG or Real Madrid because these both can handle him without any problem

He is decent and he might actually fit in PSG because thats a club where you can take things easily in there. He is not the player that would give his 120% to win the game, he plays with decent effort and thats it but on top of that he has huge wage tag on him so I wont be surprised if he somehow move in to MLS because he doesnt get a decent offer from some teams

I know that Manchester United aren't gonna be able to hinder Paul Pogba from joining Manchester City. But I have some doubts that he would join Manchester City. Because I don't think that they would be the best club for him to go. Rather than Manchester City, he can choose to go to Real Madrid or PSG. I think that these are the best options for him and actually the best one could be Real Madrid. The reason why is that they are building a strong squad for next season and the future too. It would be great for their midfield to have a strong player like him also.
