Defender Rafael Varane is close to retirement from Real Madrid.

As journalist Mohamed Bukhafsi writes, the Madrid club is in the final stage of negotiations with Manchester United. It remains to agree on the last details, which may happen in the next few hours.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Varane himself fully agreed with MU on the terms of a personal contract.
This will be a very big blow to Real Madrid who actually thought Varane might change his mindset about leaving the club,to sign a contract since Ramos has already joined PSG.Varane is valued so highly at Madrid that they never wanted him to go,but now that reports are saying he's very close to a move to Man-U,it will really be a big blow to Madrid to have lost their two best defenders at a season.

If I had such an opportunity, I would have taken Ronaldinho to the team. The way he played, his play-style, his dribbling I still miss. I really love this player. I would have been fascinated by the pairing of Ronaldinho and Messi in Barcelona. Together these two had the ability to knock down any team's defense. Who would you choose?

I am not watching much of Barcelona but I always feel like there was a huge missed opportunity with Ronaldinho, so I agree here,,, this is the one guy to bring back BUT first to fix his problems off the field. He was SO good with all his issues imagine if he was even half as disciplined as Messi is, how much more he would bring.

I love all players who give us good memories:)

My childhood was very sweet for all the players mentioned in the list. I was able to enjoy their awesome gameplay. Later in my mind, I was eagerly waiting in front of the television to watch the game of Ronaldinho, Zidane or Kaka. I still remember the moment of Iniesta's retirement. These legends can never be erased from my memory.

Is it that true Varane has a deal with MU?
~snip~
MU will have a solid defense, Harry Maguire and Varane.  I don't know if they still need Jules Kunde?.

Winning 18 trophies, including four Champions League titles is great. Varane would be a good choice for United if this were to happen. But the United defender's several purchases often don't work well in important matches, just look at Maguire. Yes, everything needs a process. It's just that I don't want Varane to be like Bailly, he's an expensive player but he's injured a lot.

Regarding Jules Kunde I heard he is also favored by Tottenham.

In fact, you may be a coach without being a player. Grin
I agree with you, In fact, the best coach I have ever seen never being as a player such as Andre Villas-Boas and Arrigo Sacchi but still must know, Mourinho was once a football player for a small club.

It seems the deal is in its final stages according to several sources.

That'd be a big blow to Real Madrid imo having just lost one of its squad leaders in Sergio Ramos, that said, Man Utd are really are going in hard and would be really a competitive team ahead of the new season.

Yeah he needed a new challenge and no other club came for him except Manchester United according to Fabrizio Romano, no official bid submitted yet just paperwork and personal terms. He would be a good addition to the manutd team so let see how his partnership with Manguire goes, the EPL is a tough league we've seen many top talents ruined, man utd fans must be confident right now after the arrival of Sancho and now Varane

Juventus reportedly want to bring in Griezmann, he may not get a main position at Barcelona and also on the Blaugrana's selling list. Rumors have it that Juventus are ready to swap Dybala for Griezmann to speed up the negotiation process. If this happens, then next season Juventus have a midfielder who I think will be able to provide an important role for ronaldo and other Juventus strikers. This transfer will makes Juventus more favorites to become the champions.

Money spent on transfers in the top European leagues in summer 2021.

Quote
Premier League €443,09m
German Bundesliga €257,17m
Serie A €257,09m
Ligue 1 €227,10m
LA Liga €116,55m

I am honestly pretty suprised that the transfer fees in the financially strong leagues (Ligue 1 & LA Liga) are that low. Is Corona hitting harder than expected or have there just been no big transfers yet? What do you think?

Of course, should CR7, Mbappe or some other big names still move to another club this summer, the picture could change quickly. Nevertheless, the English are again spending enormous sums. And Harry Kane hasn't even been transferred to Manchester City yet.

But many issues Messi will stay for Barcelona but he must got 50% deduct salary from last season.
Many players will become victims if messi is still on Barcelona which doesn't want to deduct his salary, but still have time until 31 August if Barca doesn't resolve this, probably Messi can't play until the winter windows. I hope Messi going to another club to take a new experience, 20 years is a very long time, isn't he bored?. I know Barcelona is one the best club ever, but a player needs something new to improve another skill, maybe he wants to be a coach, that is need another reference with play with many clubs.

He did already agree to a salary reduction of 50%. Of course he still earns a shit ton of money, but come on he deserves it. He is just a player out of this world and most others are not. It's the same in any sport. Whether it is Harding or Curry in the NBA or Brady in the MLB. You can't just ask Messi to play for 10 million gross. I don't think the new contract is done yet. It has been said in the media but as long as there is no signature I think everything is possible. I wish he would go to Manchester City.

Yup, Shaqiri is on the list of players Liverpool would be happy to sell. After buying Jota they already have 4 strong offensive positions, Shaqiri is still a decent player to have but he's still worth some money, is on a big salary compared to number of minutes he'd be getting and his value is decreasing.

He had a great Euro, Liverpool knows this is the best time to sell. Apparently it's between Lazio and Napoli, at around 15 million euro valuation. Looks like a good deal for all sides.

One of my favorite players Shaqiri (12m valuation), now an offensive player at Liverpool, has said that he would be tantalized by the possibility of returning to Serie A, strongly targeting Maurizio Sarri's Lazio. The player's contract expires in 2022, but in football we know that these contracts are worth very little compared to the real needs of teams and players. I'll follow his moves closely

I had read about Shaqiri in Turkish sports media that some Turkish teams were also interested. 12 million € is a very high transfer fee for Turkish teams. I also don't think he will come to the Turkish league. Sarri's Lazio could sign Shaqiri, as he said he'll be excited in Italy Serie A.

i also think that if Shaqiri moves, he will go to serie a in italy. lazio rom would be a very good option for him and an opportunity to establish himself as a regular player again.
fc liverpool would not put any obstacles in the way of the player if the transfer fee would be good.

I hope Messi going to another club to take a new experience, 20 years is a very long time, isn't he bored?. I know Barcelona is one the best club ever, but a player needs something new to improve another skill, maybe he wants to be a coach, that is need another reference with play with many clubs.

Why does he have to be bored? As you said Barca is one of the top clubs globally, a dream for almost all the kids that play football to be there as players. He was there from the start of his career, he became one of the two top players and he is been treated like a king. For sure to chase new challenges is something that a lot of people want and gives them a boost to continue but that's not necessary or sure.
I don't know what are his plans for the future but to be a coach doesn't have to be in many teams as a player. In fact, you may be a coach without being a player. Grin

If the guy is bored, it would not have anything to do with a club. Some football player have been know to just stop liking the sport after they made enough millions. I do remember an old case, Romario, that used to play for Real Madrid, and after a few seasons he stopped training at the highest level, kept on playing footvolley with his friend at the beach and was obviously overeating to the point in he could no longer be considered an elite player. Yet that is absolutely normal... they earn so much that they no longer give a s*th about it.

If Messi were one of those player, we would have already known about it.

The young Dutch striker is good at playing in the wing and spear positions, which makes him a distinguished alternative to the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland as well, who may leave during the current summer transfer season,
Borussia Dortmund are preparing for the unforeseen, they already have good wingers who can easily cover up the Sancho I think that was the reason they bought T. Hazard last season they knew Man utd would not give up on Sancho and that's the same dilemma they are facing now with Halaand they know he is a top priority to Chelsea this season and they are going to do anything to get him and Halaand is also open to a move so they needed to get someone should in case the Halaand deal go through. Malin is a promising young player who can play ST and CF.

Chelsea are preparing an improved £130m according to several reports, they have a good squad they just need a clinical finisher to contest for the league.

Money does have a huge impact, but everything can not be measured by money. High loyalty can beat money (an example is Messi), as well as for young players who expect new challenges, in order to fulfill their desires they can do anything because they still have a long journey and the money will come by itself.

It's not a good thing to keep a player who has no heart for his club anymore, besides being able to affect performance, it can also affect the team's atmosphere.
Barcelona is very lucky to have such an unmatched player, Messi an example of loyalty. As long as you honor your club, your club will honor you. No matter what the circumstances, respect and love for your club must always prevail. Mbappe would like to show his talent elsewhere. Here, the difference is clear, that's his own business. The truth is that not every player will commit to his club until his retirement.
Have git update about Messi extended for Barcelona or not? I think before said about loyal or not we need waiting for new announcement from Barcelona official about Messi extended several years season stay for Barcelona. Now Messi still holiday with his family after success give first trophy for his country and not any new deal about  Messi contract extended or not. But many issues Messi will stay for Barcelona but he must got 50% deduct salary from last season.

I would not compare the cases if only because the clubs are very different. Barcelona is an institution for decades, the pride of a large region and also a political dimension (read about the role of FC Barcelona in the Franco dictatorship). Therefore, it is understandable that not only Messi remains loyal to the club until the end, but also some players before, such as Pep Guardiola. On the other hand, PSG, a second-rate club that has become big in recent years because sheikhs have invested billions in it to boost their egos. The club is an art project. How can a player commit himself to such a club permanently?
