Are Manchester City going for Harry Kane and Antoine Griezmann both? I really started wondering about how much transfer budget they have now. Griezmann's market value is €60m. And I don't think that Barcelona would even think of losing him while they are having some financial problems also. They want to create funds for Messi though but they wouldn't like to lose one of their best players like Griezmann.

Manchester City should look for someone else I think.

Unluckily Guardiola seems to love playing without attackers right now.
Even in the final of the Champions League, he played without a number 9 only people from midfield going to score.

Often the most advanced player was De Bruyne.

I don't think he will change what they did until this now.
I don't think it was an issue of not wanting to play attackers (strikers) and I support Guardiolas decision, those 2 guys were out of form and if you were following City's games to the build up of the final you would agree!
Jesus was wasteful when given a chance to play and Aguero had just come back from his injury
which left pep with no choice but play attack minded midfielders and if I were in his shoes I would do it again.

Transfer rumours:
Manchester United lead Chelsea and neighbours Manchester City in the race sign England striker Harry Kane, 27, with Tottenham asking for £100m plus two of the Red Devils' first-team players. A very interesting race, who will eventually succeed and bring Kane to their club?  Cheesy
Manchester City have made contact with France forward Antoine Griezmann, 30, about a potential move from Barcelona. Very interesting news, whether Griezmann will really go to Manchester?

In theory, Manchester City should be much more focused on the Kane deal. I think it will be a big mistake for Barcelona to sell Griezmann, like the mistake when Luis Suarez was sold, but the situation with Messi's contract may force the club to do this to fulfill the financial conditions of La Liga. Also, do not forget about the rumors talking about the contacts of Manchester City with the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo. It is unlikely that all three transfers can take place in reality, and it is also worth considering the opinion of Pep Guardiola on all this. However, the inclusion of other Manchester City players in the Kane deal may change the configuration of the squad and the transfer goals of the club.

They have not only so much money but also are the last champions in the EPL.

I'd love to see Manchester United secure this deal but it probably wont happen if Tottenham is asking for two of their first team players. Tottenham needs to fill the gap for the striker position in case if Harry kane leaves so they are probably asking for Rashford. This youngster could be the next Harry Kane so there is no way United going to let him go

Well Tottenham is pretty greedy though with their terms, asking for one player + £100m  is pretty reasonable but asking for two players is pretty absurd

Assuming Messi decided to leave Barca, could PSG get it without attracting the attention of everyone? and as coinlocket mentioned what about financial fair play?
Honestly if I am in Messi position, I will think twice before staying in Barca since he wants to lift a trophy with them, which won't be CL ones when you see what PSG is doing right now! without counting City, Chelsea..

It has never existed for them, they were investigating on them.
Now their president is president of the European Club Association and Ceferin sold to him the copyright for something, can't remember for what.

Do you even think they touch them?

UEFA is nothing less than a Mafia.

@coinlocket$ no club can buy Messi without breaking financial fair play rules, and not even PSG or City can get him even if they badly want him so he’s going to remain with Barcelona only at a reduced pay. Also anyone feels for Deepay, because he just joined Barcelona and already has to take a pay cut to make his signing official.
I am not sure if financial fair play would matter in a free transfer type of situation, because you are not paying an insane amount of money to team in that case, and you pay it to player. Even if let's say that they paid him more than what they can afford, it happens at the end of the season, so they may still take a risk, get him, pay him a lot, then at the end of the season hope that their income is big enough to cover it, if not then all they have to do is getting transfer block until they go under because it ls just a warning for the first time, and in that case they could get rid of some players to drop under.

Look at Barcelona for example, they are literally selling players left and right because they want to be able to stay under financial fair play if they need to pay Messi a lot of money, same could be done by PSG next season as well.

Just like Barcelona right now and Man City a few seasons ago, PSG in a few season will be unable to stay in regulations with FFP rules if all they keep winning is Ligue 1 and or Cup de la ligue and hope to keep the likes of Mbappe, Neymar and hosts of others stars, especially when they'd need to pen new contract which will most probably be an improvement from the current ones.

For Barcelona, they might have to let Greizmann go in as much as the offers is worthy, but Man City would really be better off with just Harry Kane who already is accustomed to the premier league, as the rumors have it, I'm not sure how much they might be willing to go with both Chelsea and Man Utd involved in the race as well.

According to German Sky Sports News FC Bayern is interested in signing Dani Olmo and Federico Chiesa. However, due to the current financial situation, the club has no financial means to realize transfers in this magnitude. The transfer fees for the two players are at least €80m each.

According to rumors here from Italy Juventus already rejected the offer from Chiesa. Wink

I see Manchester Utd and City being one step ahead comparing to Chelsea. Actually, Chelsea won the Champions League in the last season. But I don't think that they have more money than those two. And I think City are closer to sign him rather than Manchester Utd. They have not only so much money but also are the last champions in the EPL.

Do you think that Giroud is still competitive enough to play a really good season, like scoring 15 to 20 goals maybe in the Serie A? I don't know, it might look misleading on the TV but Giroud always looks so slow when he's running. I know he has scoring abilities, but he is probably going to be on the bench, isn't he? What is the status quo for Ibrahimovic right now?

Well he doesn't has pace but yeah he is great in finishing and could tee off well to other strikers say Zlatan for goals. So what I think is that they could have a good linkup. Its hard to say that he will be scoring lot of goals but normally given the status of league he is coming from one would expect a good performance and Serie A shouldn't be a difficult one for him. Though I am also not sure its just speculation. Still its a good buy from AC Milan.

As for Zlatan, he recently got his contract extended so yeah he stays for one more season.

^  If that ever happened, Messi would be public enemy no. 1 is Spain!  Cheesy  I don’t think even the Real fans would be too excited to have him after what he done to them.  Cheesy Cheesy

Griezmann?  But for how much?  And he flopped and is still a flop at Barca, right?
Just look to the bigger picture and you will understand everything.
Barca could not renew Messi contract without getting ride of many players and I already mentioned few posts above that Barca have to decide most likely between Griezmann or Messi.
Messi = key players for Barca, without him the team will be affected too much and will hardly compete for the first place.
Griezmann = good player, not that consistent like Messi, not that top player that used to be with ATM. Flop? like 50% yeah.
To resume, Barca will try to keep both if there is a possibility. Until now they are stuck with some not important players that aren't willing to leave the team nor decrease much their salaries.
Now City getting Griezmann might be an interesting move in case they fail to get Kane but wouldn't be more interesting to let Griezmann in Barca and chase Messi?

Manchester United are said to be "very tempted" to try to sign Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti, with Arsenal also linked with the 27-year-old France international. It seems to me that for Umtiti a better choice would be Manchester.

Almost all European clubs are linked to the news of transfers in terms of purchase, except for RealMadrid, as its news is related to the return of Ceballos, Gareth Bale and Ibrahim Diaz.
The only deal that everyone is talking about is almost impossible this summer that is Mbappe ,firstly because of the lack of liquidity and secondly because the Paris club does not want to sell.
it will be summer Long and difficult for Madrid.
Maybe they are working under the shadows to lure Messi to them as it looks like Barcelona needs to make a lot of sacrifices if they want to get him back but he needs to be willing to join them first.

Messi to join Real Madrid is just impossible. I dont think that they wouldnt even try it. Also Real Madrid is in a money crises last few years. Currently trying to get rid of players with high wages and they are gone a focus on younger players. But if they want to do something this season they need to get a serious transfer

Wow what a bagarn!! Marina is a genius in the transfer market, Giroud was a free agent few months ago before Chelsea extended his contract for 6 months with the hope of playing him playing the world club cup and the super cup coming up soon, making £2m from Girioud after all these years is something remarkable, he won everything with chelsea, I was hoping he would move to France.

Exactly, they knew Milan wanted him and for this, they extended the contract and earned 2 million from nothing.
It seems a small amount of money but they are basically free money and "gold" in this time of the pandemic.

Also seems like a good replacement for Mandzukic who recently left AC Milan. Would love to see him work out with Zlatan. One thing that bugs me out a bit is that AC Milan lost two key players Hakan and Donnarumma for free. And in March last year, AC Milan reported that they are working on that and are positive that they both will extend their contract in the end. Now one went to PSG and other to Inter. Wonder what went wrong Huh

They've find replacement for Donnarumma but are they planning any replacement signings for Hakan who have been the key to AC Milan's most of the attacks last season?

Julian Nagelsmann would like to have Dani Olmo in his squad, however Bayern cannot and will not make a move of this magnitude this summer. On one hand, Olmo wants to stay another season at Leipzig, on the other hand, he reportedly has a €80m release clause.

Even though Nagelsmann and Olmo worked together in Leipzig, the new Bayern coach's dream player is reportedly Italy's Federico Chiesa. However the same applies for the Italian: too expensive. Nagelsmann is aware of the current difficulties on the market.

Even though I would welcome transfers of this magnitude, I believe that FC Bayern will continue to focus on solid finances and won't sign the players mentioned above. This strategy has worked well for decades and FC Bayern is one of the few clubs in Europe that does not have a huge amount of debt.

If there are no new transfers, I at least hope that Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka extend their contracts at FC Bayern this summer.

I don't know if you've been following the Copa América Conmebol, but it's thought that the Colombian Luiz Diaz could take the title of the best player after completing his beautiful performance in this championship by guaranteeing a third place for Colombia.

From my point of view, Diaz really proved to be a very high technical level player. Could it be that other directors also saw this and could his permanence in Porto be "threatened"?

Manager Mikel Arteta said: “We welcome Nuno to the club. He is a young player with great promise who has developed very well with Benfica in recent seasons and has also shown his quality by being part of Portugal Under-21s. Nuno’s arrival will give the squad extra strength and options in defence, particularly with this energy on the left side of the pitch. We look forward to Nuno’s arrival soon, his integration into the Arsenal family and playing in front of our fantastic supporters.”

The French website Foot Mercato reports that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola have contacted Antoine Griezmann about a possible transfer. It's believed Barcelona are hoping to receive a serious offer for Griezmann this summer to ease their financial difficulties and are willing to sell the striker to reduce their wage bill, allowing them to re-sign out-of-contract star Lionel Messi.
