I'm not so sure Chelsea will succeed with the Haaland deal, except they are willing to spend astronomically on him, and Messi to City doesn't look like a possibility
Why do you think Chelsea won't succeed? I guess Chelsea has enough funds to sign Haaland. Then, Chelsea can put some of their players on the transfer list to balance their financial situation. I think the chance for Chelsea to sign Haaland quite high, except Bayern Munchen joins the competition to sign Haaland. While For Messi, he seems to not go anywhere. If he really wants to leave Barcelona and move to another club, he should already do it from the last season.
I have no doubt that Chelsea can afford to make the transfer financially and pay good money on the contract. On the other hand, I have great doubts that Chelsea is on the list of priorities for the agent, the father and Haaland himself. Because before that, information about the interest of persons associated with the player was slipping about Real Madrid and Manchester City. However, everything can change and in the case of Real Madrid, much depends on the situation with the negotiations for Killian Mbappe.

I feel like Sancho to United and Haaland to Chelsea could likely be happening and a shock transfer move by Ronaldo to United.  Maybe at least I’m hoping to see it.  Lol.  So I guess, or hope, City has no choice but to try and get Messi then and let him play the false 9 role?

I don’t care what anybody says.  I just want to be entertained and nerd out like a real fan.  Grin

Sancho to Manchester Utd and Haaland to Chelsea are still very likely. Manchester Utd seem as the closest team to be able to sign Sancho now. As long as they can afford him, I assume there won't be any problem. When it comes to Haaland, Chelsea have a really big chance to sign him unless a bigger team like Bayern etc. try to sign him also.

Harry Kane is going to Manchester City and that would be the best transfer ever this season it only a matter of time till they finalise the deal maybe after the EUROs, he would be the perfect replacement for Aguero. Dortmund is a selling club if the right bid comes in from manutd and Chelsea then Haaland and Sancho would make a move

If all of this deals are successful, then that'll mean taking football to England, but I'm pretty sure quite a lot of this deals wouldn't happen for many reasons, I don't see any reason why United should be keen on bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, if it were a couple of seasons back, then it could have made more sense, United imo, should be seeking younger and fresher players that'll be in the club for a longer period and help them win trophies for many years to come.

Sancho to United looks possible, but I'm not so sure Chelsea will succeed with the Haaland deal, except they are willing to spend astronomically on him, and Messi to City doesn't look like a possibility, I think if it didn't happen last season when it looked like City were close to signing him, then it prolly won't happen again.

lol, you have the right as a fan to dream about your team getting the best players. Back to real life, the available information tell that Sancho might move indeed since the offered money is close to what Dortmund wants. CR7 future isn't clear but moving to United remains in table. Haaland will not move, Messi nothing is clear.

Alexander Nübel will leave FC Bayern during the next transfer period on loan to Lille or Monaco. I think that's a good decision. Nübel urgently needs match practice to develop and take the next step.

Alexander Nübel is 100% leaving Bayern on loan this summer. Lille and Monaco are in race but no decision has been made yet [Podcast Meine Bayern-Woche, @Plettigoal]

It looks like the FC Bayern team will be undergoing some changes in the summer. It will be interesting to see whether the team can maintain its quality in the future.

Apparently, Bayern intends to finance the signing of a new goalkeeper with the Nübel fee and wages. Stefan Ortega (Arm. Bielefeld) seems to be one possible candidate.
It would cost Bayern € 5 million to sign Ortega and he would make 2 million euros a year. [source: Bild.de]

Maybe there are already enough Dutch people in our team then, but it's no big loss for me I think. As I said before Wijnaldum is a great player but not really suited to our style and Depay isn't really I would think a good fit either. Both of them moved to PSG/Juve because of bigger packages. PSG offered double our terms! So no big deal, I'm happy we didn't overextend.

I actually though that would have strengthened a lot with Koeman getting some good options more in attack area to work with. Anyway I think they missed out a proper striker to lead which was what left them out in the title race last season. With Aguero I think they will be able to work this out.Garcia is also a good addition to defence. Depay is not yet confirmed, just rumours that Juventus getting in the way. Other rumours say Barcelona are confident on Depay signing as well. So anything can happen with Depay going either way.

As far as I read in the media, it was not only the club that was asking for a lot of money, but also Haaland and his agent.
In talks with Barcelona and Real, his agent allegedly demanded a very high annual salary for Haaland, a higher salary than what Messi or Ronaldo receive.
Haaland is a very good player but also a very young player, and I am afraid that all these stories about big money could harm his playing career.
He would not be the first failed great football hope.
We currently have a major financial crisis in football due to the coronavirus and probably only PSG, Manchester City or Chelsea can meet the high financial requirements of this player.
Greed is always a double-edged sword.
I guess if you think about it Messi and Ronaldo "were" the greatest football players ever lived, but do they really deserve the same money right now? They are getting paid for money they used to worth, they are getting money their names worth and not what they bring to the pitch anymore. I believe Haaland deserves to be paid more than anyone in the world right now not because he is at that level right now, but you are getting a player that would be probably the best scorer for another 10 years and that worths a ton of money to spend to keep him there.

I would give him 40 million a year for 10 years type of deal and I wouldn't be even doubting about it. Once again not because I believe he should be paid the most money now, but because you are getting that player and you need to be early in there or some other team will get him in a few seasons.

Milan is confidently moving forward on target Olivier Giroud. The 86' French striker has been chosen by Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini to play the role of vice-Ibrahimovic. The contacts with the player's entourage in the last few hours have led to the total definition of the agreement: a two-year €4 million deal (bonuses included).
A.C. Milan has reiterated to Oliver Giroud's agents that they are willing to close the deal only on a free transfer. And it is from the latter that important reassurances have arrived regarding the possibility of enforcing the promise made by Marina Granovskaia. Chelsea's Director can free her striker only with the certainty of a transfer to a foreign club. And this club is precisely Milan, a choice made several weeks ago and that is now about to reach the final finish line.
We will see what happens

This guy is longevity exemplified is he not?

Vice-Ibrahimovic does not sound like a title he would enjoy however, although the pay initially does sound quite attractive,,, Giroud still plays a crucial role in club and country and he may not like being called a second string to someone older than him:)

Seems like Barcelona won't lose only Wijnaldum. They were supposed to be anouncing Depay in the next few days but that has been cancelled as well.

Apparently, Depay will be joining Juventus instead - also on a salary way higher than what Barcelona was offering. That are 2 free agents they planned to sign and have now lost, let's see now what happens with Eric Garcia.
He's a Barcelona youngster so they will probably complete that one - Garcia himself was pushing for that deal since last year.

If next season is bad for Barcelona, then they could gradually be falling from the top, it's up to their management to secure very good players that the coach would work with, right now, Barca's squad isn't too special to win the CL again, they need reinforcements.

Yeah that for sure. It is not easy to get out of financial crisis quickly and  will take time to resolve the situation. Still glad that they made the changes in management and resolved by firing Bartomeu as well. Now still it is a very difficult task for new management to acquire players and build squad with little money to spend. In my opinion they can do we if they start acquiring some youth with potential. They already have a lot of potential young players who could be club stars , maybe a little bit more and maybe sell them later would bring in some.

Some more updates on FC Bayern München:

It is very unlikely that Ivan Perišić will make another move to FC Bayern. Despite several rumours in recent days, there has been no contact with FC Bayern yet.

Contrary to recent reports in Italy, Ivan Perišić is currently not an option for FC Bayern. His management is not in contact with FCB [Podcast Meine Bayern-Woche, @Plettigoal]

It's funny how other big teams are playing the higher salary card to take away potential signings of Barca. Guess that's how transfer things are done.
That's why I've said a couple of times already that I think Barcelona's problem stems from their hierarchy and not the manager or even the players, if Barca can't close up minor deals such as this, then what's the tendency that they'll do so when it comes to bigger deals and bigger players, I don't really know what's going on at the top of the club atm, but one thing is for sure, it's damaging the club and it's performances on the pitch.

If next season is bad for Barcelona, then they could gradually be falling from the top, it's up to their management to secure very good players that the coach would work with, right now, Barca's squad isn't too special to win the CL again, they need reinforcements.

Wijnaldum and Depay were two targets I thought would be a strong one as they have good relationship with Koeman as well but guess financial status of Barca right now is what pushes them away. As for Garcia, it is done deal and I think Barca already has announced his signing. It's funny how other big teams are playing the higher salary card to take away potential signings of Barca. Who actually saw that transfer from Wijnaldum to PSG coming? I don't really understand what to do in France. That boy has been playing in England for a long time, must have earned a fortune and is now leaving because he would earn too little. The difference in culture between Liverpool and PSG seems very big to me. And then you also have to deal with that annoying French language. And what about wife and children?
In my opinion, it is a very strange move at this age.

It came as a big surprise for me to see PSG hijack the deal from Barcelona. He had been linked with a move away to Barcelona even before the season ended only for PSG towards the end to snatch him via a quick deal. He would have to deal with the change and learn to adapt. His family too will have to be the same. Most players often prefer to play in an entirely different team (in a different league/country) just so they'd would be able to experience life in other places I don't think Wijnaldum's case would be any different. He would be missed at Liverpool. He was one of my fav players.
Barcelona is really poor team right now, how come Wijnaldum as free transfer player but give lower salary in Barcelona how ever great opportunity to get best midfielder player from Liverpool by free, I see Wijnaldum close with Barcelona after Koeman have good connection with him, but PSG try give higher salary more than 50% higher than Barcelona.

I think that Dortmund wouldn't budge on their asking price for Halaand so nothing less then €180million would make him leave, Dortmund probably will sell Sanchi as he is not their main star anymore and just today it was confirmed that Man United have agreed personal terms with him keeping him to 2026 the negotiations with Dortmund and United over him is also started so that means BVB is willing to sell Sancho who they value this season at €95million €25million less then last year,
So if they sold Sancho that is most likely to happened it well make it too difficult to sell Halaand too in the same year.

It is unlikely that Dortmund will release two of its star players at the same time. therefore Dortmund set a very high price to be able to
bring in Haaland. Most likely Haaland will indeed stay at Dortmund for another season, if we know that the agreement between Man United
and Dortmund is getting closer to Sancho's move. But we know Chelsea who are most serious about signing Haaland have good finances and
could have bought Haaland. We still have to wait for developments regarding Haaland, the transfer market is getting more and more interesting
right now.
