Who would you consider a player that helps to "take them to the next level"? And what would you say would such a player cost? Last time they bought such players (who were supposed to take them to the next level) they wasted hundreds of millions. Money, that Barca is missing now.

In my opinion the best thing for them right now is to make transfers like Depay's and not to chase the absolute star players again. That gives them much more room financially. The team needs to be strengthened in several positions.

Yeah i agree with you but maybe Barca have different plan about their future squad.

Before joining olympique-lyon he played for Man Utd and now Barca took him to their squad. Positive thing is that he have experience of playing English league and most probably Barca consider this thing during choosing this left winger.

Depay as replacement? That would be a huge downgrade compared to Suarez from the way I see it, every since he joined OL his value started to drop compared to when he was just a youngster in PSV. Barca will just be better off taking forwards in the premier league rather than taking Depay. Among the forwards link to Barca I think Lautaro Martinez is the most ideal for them to focus on as he is really proving to be a good asset for Inter, but this transfer seems to be impossible for them seeing that Inter and Martinez have a good relationship with each other.

Big problems it seems for Suarez, here in Italy they are writing "He will not come to Juve, he can't get his passport done in time and Juventus will go for Dzeko".

This is a big problem for Barca too if it will happen, they probably can't get Depay.

It looks like Luis Suarez will be in Juventus uniform this season because the current Barca coach Koeman has not included Suarez in his game scheme. Suarez had to move to Juventus to get more playing minutes than having to warm up the bench at Barcelona, maybe a very fatal mistake to release Luis Suarez to Juventus. How does Luis Suarez become most lovely striker by barcelona fans with working give more trophy for barcelona more than last four years in Barca. Almost all coaches have their own style of play and throw away anyone who is not included in their shceme, many great players have been eliminated by changing coaches even though in the previous season they managed to make the best contribution to their clubs.

Nope, he signed an extension until 2023. Borussia is safe and can play hardball, they will get big money for him and they never stopped players from going before so he knows he will be allowed to leave as well.
Only thing left is for a top club to place that ~100 million bid. I doubt it will be this season but I would not exclude the following one. Sancho is still only 20 years old so he's also in no rush to leave - he's a key player in a decent team and still has space to grow in the Bundesliga.

I don't see him joining United in this window too, good for us because he'd actually be a perfect signing for them.

Dortmund also acquired Bellingham a couple of days ago for 37 Euros or so... A prudent signing at this day and age of football. They'll prolly be able to sell him three times the amount the got him for.

Unfortunately exactly my thoughts, this year United don't have any real rivals for this signing while next year Sancho will surely receive a lot of offers including better clubs than United

It will not be the first time Liverpool lose a player to Barcelona in my lifetime I can remember quite a number to Spain but Liverpool always find a way to cope. Exactly, I can't understand the reason why Victor Font made that statement, Xavi is not an established manager and it'll make sense if he said he'll prolly try to bring back pep Guardiola to camp nou if he becomes president, but Xavi, really I don't know if that's a move in the right direction for Barcelona. Koeman on the other hand will feel more like a caretaker manager this season, I feel bad for him.

The hierarchy at camp nou have been atrocious for some years now, filled with bad coach selection, poor transfers etc, that's the reason Messi wanted to leave this season, if they continue in this direction, they will pull this great club down.

I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, I'm saying only that it was expected because they do that during every presidential selection. That's how they get the votes, they lay out their plan for the next years and Koeman simply is not in the plans of most presidential candidates.

I don't like it, never did, I'm simply saying that Koeman was probably aware he's got a year if he performs well and even less if he does not. And in my opinion, currently he's a better manager than Xavi anyway.

Mourinho is thinking right but not in order I guess. Spurs right now have a bad defending unit. Yesterday in Everton game they left so much space in middle for Richarlison to throw some shot- lucky that it weren't on target. I feel like Mourinho is doing right thing by keeping options in attacking role as last season Spurs at one point were in very bad position in 4-5 main players out with injury and Mourinho had to play some young players. Mourinho is doing good to have backup but I feel like he should focus on changing defense atm.
