I haven’t really noticed Konate much, is he good? I am aware of Upamecano & he is a very good player, Bayern will be stronger once more when he joins the German champions.

I'm really not impressed with Konate. He tries to be quite offensive, likes to carry the ball out of defence (I prefer when CB's have the shill to pass it instead) and he plays too high for a defender. One other thing that bothers me a lot is that he's been injured a lot during the last few seasons.

In my opinion, he's nowhere near his 40 mil market valuation and I think buying him at such price would be a mistake.

Yes I have never been aware of him too much but it does seem that the fee is too much for a 21 year old who gets injured a lot. Duje Caleta-Car from French club Marseille is a better player & probably available.

here is a very interesting interview with the top agent Mino Raiola about the future of Haaland, Pogba and Camavinga

Quote
In 2022, Haaland can reportedly leave BVB through an exit clause from his contract, which runs until 2024. Real Madrid and Chelsea are repeatedly mentioned as interested parties. “This boy — I’m 100 per cent convinced and everybody’s convinced — can move to any club, wherever he wants, already on this level. And he could have done that last year. But maybe last year there were still teams (saying), ‘Oh, he was in Red Bull, can he do it in another club?’. He is quicker than his own prediction. So yeah, Haaland is the talk of the town,”

In the case of Pogba, on the other hand, Raiola announced a departure from Manchester United at the end of last year despite a contract running until 2022. “So the day that Paul Pogba doesn’t have a club anymore, then he would not be appreciated or under-appreciated. But today, if somebody asks me, ‘Can you find a club for Paul?’ I could take my nephew of five (years old) and find a club for Paul at a high level.”

Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good. Whether he will or not, I don’t know. His background has been tough if you know what he went through as a refugee and the burning of his home (in Rennes). But his character is amazingly strong. He is not your average 18-year-old. Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him. He’s a lovely boy and I think he’s going to be a superstar.”

Damn, Raiola will make so much money during this transfer window Grin

I really don't know why players pick him. I guess he really has good connections and I'd maybe understand players who are unknown choosing him, but superstars? He cares only about his own interests and takes huge fees from transfers that would have happened anyway.

30 years is still peak for most midfielders so I'm sure there will be many teams lined up for him. He is a worldclass player. Barca can use a midfielder but Im not sure if Wijnaldum is the guy for the job. He is very good on the ball though. So, that is a general characteristic that Barca generally looks for.
I do not think that 30 years old is the problem, I think the fact is that he will be 31 years old when he comes and after few seasons he will become too old to matter, and that is not a problem when you do not pay a transfer fee, but it does matter when we are talking about players who cost a lot.

Wijnaldum will certainly ask for a decent amount of money considering there will be no transfer fee, like instead of paying 12 to him and 20 for the team, Barcelona will have a chance top pay 15 million to him for 2 years, and that will make him a 33 year old player nearly out of contract at Barcelona at the end. These kinds of things matter, Barcelona doesn't have endless pockets, they are financially not doing awesome and they need to be careful. I believe he will be a great choice, only if he agrees to a contract that makes sense, if he asks for a lot that would be not so great.

Lionel Messi is still making people excited about his situation whether he will be leaving or not. Laporta thinks Messi's voting is a proof that he wants to stay. But Messi still hasn't spoken about what he will do for certain.
Messi really want to play the loyalty card but deep down he has had enough of the bad policy from Barcelona when it comes to recruitment of players, Messi is surrounded by average bunch of players who absolutely know nothing about football. If he stays he might likely no lift a trophy for sometime.

The anxious wait is continuing for now. I'm still hoping for Messi not to extend his contract and I hope he goes to Manchester City this summer.  Grin
I don't think Messi will ever grace the premier league I think PSG is the perfect club for him

Wijnaldum is still a solid player who is always contributing while on the pitch with a couple of years still to play. His spell at Liverpool has been nothing short of a success. He has been linked with Barcelona for a while, it got so intense in January that I thought he'd make the move. But I think they should get him this time.  Liverpool should be looking at getting replacements anytime soon because the services of Gini  will be missed.  I still recall what he did to Barcelona in 2019  Smiley - sad to see a good player like that leave but doesn't change the fact that we need fresh legs in our team.

Yeah, he is definitely a great player. He has very nice memories here. I don't know whether Liverpool really need to send him but maybe they want to make important changes in their lineup.

So we still have humans who believe Goal.com transfer news and speculations? Isn't this the same media who reported Dembele to Arsenal and Fati to Manchester United in the summer? No doubt Barcelona approached for the service of Wijnaldum to replace the outgoing Bosquet but there was never a direct contact, it was just a discussion between Barcelona and his agent. Skysports and goal.com sucks at transfer news.

Actually, there are many websites which are like this. But still I get curious about whether it could be true also.  Grin  Even if Barcelona haven't made an offer yet, it looks like they aim to do it.

You are actually right. There are so many midfielders who are playing even better in their thirties. I think Barcelona could really make use of a strong midfielder now and Wijnaldum is one of the great choices.

Looks like there will be a lot of changes next season for Barcelona  as Laporta told Koeman in their last meeting that he would base his plans for the next season on the presence of Messi.
Laporta would deal a heavy blow to the market, by selling two players currently playing in the starting lineup, in order to finance Haaland transfer in.
Other then Halaand they are targeting free agents like Wijnaldum and Agruero and Alaba if they can convince him joining them competing with Madrid.

Lionel Messi is still making people excited about his situation whether he will be leaving or not. Laporta thinks Messi's voting is a proof that he wants to stay. But Messi still hasn't spoken about what he will do for certain.

Messi is no longer a young player and he is aware that the end of his career is approaching.
I think money is no longer the most important thing to him but the ability to continue to win and collect trophies.
If Barcelona can no longer promise him that then he will go to a club that can give him a chance to continue to win trophies and be remembered as the best player of all time.

I read the news that Madrid and Barcelona interested Fabio Blanco. He is a youth player of the Valencia academy. He is still 17 years old, he has already defended Spain U15 and U16. Whereas currently he plays for Valencia U19. He's a good right winger for his age. The contract will expire in June. Valencia himself reportedly wanted to keep him, but negotiations did not go well.  So maybe he will go, either still in Spain or to other Europe, because many big clubs want him.
Source: https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/La+Liga/Real+Madrid/Transfer+News

That's right, because Fabio Blanco's contract at Valencia will end in June 2021, it's no wonder many elite European clubs are trying to get it.
Even Real Madrid and Barcelona said they were very interested in signing Fabio Blanco, then the Spanish media reported that AC Milan is one of
Europe's elite clubs who are most serious about bringing in Fabio Blanco from Valencia. Actually several big Premier League teams are also interested
in getting Fabio Blanco, but the problem is that the chances are very small because Brexit regulations prevent the transfer of children under
18 years of age. With so many elite clubs looking to get Fabio Blanco, it can be predicted that prices could be very expensive in the future. This is
indeed a pretty lucrative investment if they succeed in bringing in Fabio Blanco. According to my prediction Fabio Blanco will choose a team from La Liga,
because usually young players prefer to develop a career in the country of their birth.

Pogba out to Juve or Real or PSG
Camavinga to Manchester United? But is a risk for Raiola to put again 2 similar players in the same team. He already has Donnie Van De Beek in Manchester United in the same position.

I agree and even though I do not agree with the overpriced valuation that is the price to pay to have, since if that clause is paid there is no way in which Leipzig could avoid the transfer.
A much fairer price for him could have been in the range between €15-30m (20 being my pick).

Had only 9 appearances this season it's been injury to injuries all season I've watched him play several times from his France under 21 days till now I can't really tell his special abilities apart from winning Ariel dues and been offensive a lot most of the time, another overrated young star in making no doubt he has potential to become a great player but right now he still very average.

£40m? Not too much for young players nowadays wondering the kind of transfer market we have now.

Ibrahima Konaté (red-bull leipzig) will most likely move to fc liverpool this summer

Quote
In the current season, Liverpool are struggling with injury concerns at the back – one reason why Jürgen Klopp’s team will probably not be able to defend the Premier League title. According to The Athletic, the Reds have now found a potential reinforcement at RB Leipzig. Ibrahima Konaté is understood to be on the verge of joining the club.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/konate-set-to-join-liverpool-release-clause-in-rb-leipzig-contract-above-market-value/view/news/382635

after Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konaté would be the second strong centre-back to leave leipzig in this summer

I haven’t really noticed Konate much, is he good? I am aware of Upamecano & he is a very good player, Bayern will be stronger once more when he joins the German champions.
yeah it's looking like Liverpool are closing on him as they are ready to pay the €41.5 million release clause for RB Leipzig defender. This move is needed for them as they really have been straggling defensively this season.

Michael Edwards sporting director of Liverpool has been monitoring Konate since the early as January 2017 when made his senior debut for Sochaux in the French League Cup against Monaco. Other epl teams are also interested in him the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have also been in contact on Konate but at the end it was always will be Liverpool is the favorites to sign him.
