The biggest transfers will be Messi's. However, that will not be because of the money, as no one is going to pay more than 100 million for him now. his contract ends in the summer. Then 100 million would be a lot of money. He is also not the youngest anymore.

I guess money is the root of all troubles in many of these big clubs, but power is another one and presidents wants a piece of that fame as well which they will never get but they will never stop. When a team is doing great you say the players were great, or even coach was great and they will get more famous right? Players worth suddenly becomes higher, manager gets paid more because of success, everything works for them.

However when things get worse, players to get transferred, and managers are fired but also presidents are forced to resign as well, I am not saying it is only presidents that gets the short end of the stick but they do get it anyway along with others. So, they want the fame as much as the blame, which makes a power struggle between managers/players versus presidents.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich are interested in signing Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano according to some rumours. I think that Manchester United are regretful about signing Harry Maguire for €87.00m. I don't think that he is playing really good this season too. I think the reason for Bayern Munich trying to sign Upamecano could be that Boateng is 32 now and they might want to replace him with a young and talented defender.

France striker Kylian Mbappe, has hinted that the chances of him leaving Paris St-Germain could depend on the approval of his parents. Really? It means nothing without parents  Grin

Regarding Mbappe - his parents act like his agents/representatives as well. His father takes care of the contract stuff and his mother about the image/commercial side.
So, it's not really the case of 'my mum doesn't let me leave' thing Grin

They did good things for his carreer so far (chosing PSG when he was leaving Monaco), so he will probably listen to their advice in picking his next club too. He's a fan of Real Madrid so he'll probably go there, but it might be a bad time to pick Madrid. I hope his mum will tell him Liverpool's better Cheesy

I have a feeling Mbappe will go to Real Madrid next. In reality he would be better off joining Liverpool & working under a guy like Klopp but Real like their galactico type signings & Mbappe fits the profile.

Money issues everywhere with the rich clubs,,,
Yeah, COVID-19 makes everything happens, no spectator it can reduced of some of money for the clubs. Maybe this is one of the reason why most of clubs not deciding to give a coach a free choice for his transfer strategy. Madrid is still okay with their finance, but, Barcelona is the most big clubs that very affected with their finance because of COVID. I think Barcelona will be lost their star on the next transfer window, especially, Messi. Let him go will safe a lot of money for Barcelona.

The shocking news came from Real Madrid coach Zidane, who threatened to resign at the end of this season if Madrid failed to bring in the player he wanted like Paul Poga, which is certainly very disappointing considering that Zidane is a coach who successfully awarded the La Liga title and also the Champions League for Madrid, but the conditions Madrid, which increasingly does not support Zidane, could be a trigger for him to leave his position as Madrid coach, especially this season Madrid did not buy a single player in the transfer market yesterday.

What is so shocking about that?Wink He has been making statements for his entire time at Real Madrid. That club has a really funny way of saying thank you to ex players and coaches who bring them success,,, although lately Barcelona is the one showing everyone how NOT to treat ex loyal servants.

Lucien Favre become second coach in Bundesliga have fired after the first of Schalke coach failed bring good result for Schalke, I think have fe match later for many team to fix and get three points if wanna fired like other coach. Based on top four league only Dortmund have fired their coach and have any possibility for other coach to fired if failed bring their team for good position. I think most waitung fired is Manchester United coach after failed from champion league and Manchester have to play on Uurope League. Jave big expectation from Manvherter fans because long time they not play on UEFA champion league.

Borussia Dortmund have sacked coach Lucien Favre following a 5-1 home defeat to newly promoted Stuttgart, the club has confirmed.

I say good riddance!  Wink
I don't know if the new guy Edin Terzic is going to cut it for Dortmund.
He is yet any professional experience as a manager his only thing that is working for him is that he spent 2 and half years as an assistant manager at Dortmund under Lucien Favre. After that defeat against Stuttgart he should probably have walked out with the manager. I'm afraid that Dortmund is going to lose some of their stars if they see that the team is not headed in the right direction and by then it will be like a sinking ship and everyone will be trying to jum out.

It was a good move by Dortmund's management to hand Favre the termination letter. Dortmund's performance this season has been nothing to write home about both in the domestic Bundesliga matches or in the Champions league which they made it out of the group stage only because they didn't have stronger opponents in group F. It's also too early to start getting worried about how Edin Terzic  would fare. We would know in a couple of games but from what I know, he'd be serving as an interim manager till the end of the season.

Transfer rumours:

West Bromwich Albion are eager to sign Newcastle United's 30-year-old English striker Dwight Gayle, whose contract is due to expire at the end of this season. Have they already been late with that decision?
Chelsea are struggling to find buyers for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Covid crisis seems to have changed a lot and there is not as much money available in the market as there used to be.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has not ruled out German playmaker Mesut Ozil playing for the Gunners before the 32-year-old's contract ends in the summer. Is a reversal happening in the difficult and complicated relationship between Ozil and Arsenal?
United have already rejected a swap deal with Juve involving Brazilian winger Douglas Costa, 30, and Barcelona's Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, 30, for Pogba. What will happen to Pogba in the end?

What a signing for Leipzig they have managed to sign future defender Josko Gvardiol aged 18 from Ukrainian club Dinamo Zagreb. But Josko Gvardiol will still play with Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season and will strengthen Leipzig in the 2021/2022 season, after Dortmund has now transformed into a club that has disrupted Bayern's dominance in the Bundesliga and they have begun to actively build a squad with a composition of young players. Maybe there will be some potential young players who will be recruited by Leipzig this season considering they are very consistent at this time sticking to Bayern's position and have a big chance in the Champions League this season, will Leipzig become a team that the Bundesliga club fans really hate this season with achievements that are very high. extraordinary?

Gvardiol plays for a Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb. Ukrainian team is called Dynamo Kiev.

That transfer really did come as a shock to most of us in Croatia because Gvardiol didn't really play in the first division before that transfer. When Leeds came with that 22 million offer, we thought it was a joke. Some people even asked who that Gvardiol guy is.

I think that the transfer to Leipzig is worth around 20 mil. Euros and I'm quite sure Dinamo would have sold him for half that amount. A really weird deal.

I do not really find this foreign investor thing as a great idea for many football teams. The fact is that in many american sports teams you can see that owners try for two things, either make profit directly each season, or get their team worth more even if they lose money but gain overall from increase of team value.

It means they see this as a purely business deal and nothing more, they do not feel anything about the team at all, this works for other nations investing as well. For example if a team from burnley that means someone from burnley should probably own it, either born there or raise there or lives there whatever. When you have absolutely no connection at all, it becomes just a business and that may bring success but doesn't have that type of soul anymore at all.

You'll barely see any football team owners that has passion on the sport and the city or place they are representing. These guys will always see profit that's why you will see some teams when a player had a breakout season they will immediately accept a transfer because they want the huge amount some even don't care about how the season will be affected because of that transfer. Right now you really don't have to look far to see that the current situation will always be about profit and how they will be maximizing the value of their assets and that is including players.

Kroos is not an offensive player he is more of a control and hold possession midfielder unlike Pogba whom contribute more in attack I think he is more to replace Modric but at the end it's all going to depend on Zidane power in persuading Perez to get him. Manchester is now asking 55€ million instead of 100€ million that they have been asking before. It's a good price considering that he have seen better days and the impact of Corona virus on teams budget. If Unites didn't get a buyer in january surely they will trade him for another player in summer their only problem is going to convince Pogba to cut down his wages

Since Pogba has not worked in Italy in the last 2 years he can eligible for the law called "Decreto Crescita".
For this law, any worker coming to Italy and work for a period with a duration equal or over 24 months will have to pay fewer taxes.

For Example, if Pogba wants 12m/y in his pocket for Juventus will cost 16ish with taxes while Real will cost 24 ish with taxes.

Dybala is not eligible for this law and he takes 7.5m € and it costs 15m € for Juventus with taxes yearly.

Now if they can exchange these 2 players with an iper-evaluation around 80milions (like Pjanic-Arthur) il will basically have no cost for Juventus BUT they will need also a striker and to sell one in midfield, probably Ramsey or Rabiot.

With Arteta's job at stake, Looks like their next target is going to be Allegri [source]...
- Having said that, I hope "Man U" doesn't sign him first.

Arsenal are really performing bad in PL but given the immediate achievements he had last season I think board is still gonna trust him for a bit more time maybe. Here he is being supported by Arsenal's chief executive: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/12158647/mikel-arteta-will-succeed-at-arsenal-says-chief-executive . Things are just going wrong in attacking end for now for Arsenal and I think it is gonna solve up soon.

@Avirunes I believe that it’ll be a big mistake to sack him so soon, because he needs to be given some more time, but if he yet continues to falter then I believe that Arsenal board will be right sack him. Furthermore I thought Ole is the next manager to be sacked, and if Manchester United doesn’t win tonight, then Manchester United board will have no other option but to sack him to save their season.
