There is a difference between a huge club transferring a player and a small club transferring a player. The difference is staggering and people do not realize how hard it is for the smaller clubs to get good players since even if they find one, a huge team could offer 5x of that price easily without a problem.

Just to give an example from premier league, lets say Manchester city wants to sell a player, why would they sell him for 20 million? They make hundreds of millions of dollars every year, if a player doesn't want to go, he has to be sold for something close to 100 million to worth it, talking about starting lineup good players of course like sane.

On the other hand, west ham can never afford to have 200-300 million dollar budgets, they may try it but in the end its not sustainable, so they find players for 5-10-20-30 or whatever since that is what they can offer. The problem here is not the fact that Sane may worth 100 or 20, its the fact that he is on a rich club, going to another rich club. If the same exact player was on a bad team going to another poor team, he wouldn't cost 100 million since neither of those teams ever had that kind of money.

Transfer negotiations between FC Bayern and Leroy Sané are on hold due to a 3-month notice period with the player's former agents. Sané's new agency Lian Sports can only officially negotiate on behalf of the player starting from April 1st [@cfbayern, SportBild]

Bayern bosses are not very enthusiastic about the change of agents, but are not nervous because Sané informed them that he wants to move to Munich. Sané can imagine playing under Hansi Flick. What’s important to him is his wages and a squad that can win the Champions League.

Man City are slowly coming to terms with the idea that Sané will not extend his contract. Pep Guardiola has internally suggested the idea of a swap with Kingsley Coman, which is not an option for Bayern. City's asking price could amount to €95m [SportBild]

€95m sound like a fair price for Leroy Sané. At least noone talks about the crazy €150m price tag anymore.

95m is not a fair price for Leroy sane, he is now a prospect because he has been injured for close to a year.

Has only 1 beautiful performances laden year in the epl with city after poor performances , and gets hyped by the english and German press.

Shouldn't cost more than 20 in reality

Oh come on, you know every noname player gets transferred for €20m+ nowadays and you're telling me Leroy Sane, one of the best players (if not the best!) in his generation should be only worth that price tag? In 17/18 & 18/19 he scored more than 15 goals in the PL/CL/Cup and got awarded best young player in 17/18.  So when exactly was your so-called "only 1 beautiful performance"?

Leroy Sane is worth a lot more than €20 Million. He has been sidelined for a long time with a serious ligament injury and many players have come back not looking like themselves in the past after difficult ligament injuries. We need to see in what shape he will be once he comes back. Not just physically but also mentally. You can recover your physical strength but the fear of contact and pain is a whole different story. He is young and physically he will be back. Lets see how he handles it mentally.

Leroy Sane is definitely worth $95 millions in my personal opinion, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Bayern paid up to $120 million for him because he’s a top class player. However before this transfer can go through he has to prove his match fitness, and once he establishes that he is fit then I feel Bayern will leave no stone unturned to sign him.

Sane will be available for a good price only because of the injury. If he didn’t have the injury he would be valued possibly 3 or 4 x more. He should move from Man City any way because Sterling & Silva seem to be favoured.

isn't Silva leaving Manchester City at the end of the season? I think they going to MSL league to Beckham's club (I read this info somewhere).

~
Again Real Madrid for sure have a lot of money but for the Fair Play Agreement they can't spend that amount without any sell, who will they sell? I think they can close the session with a -150m€ but more should be a problem even for them.

You really think that Real Madrid can have problem with Fair play if he buys Mbappe, and Juventus can buy Pogba without bypassing the rule? As far as I know, Juventus can't pay for full Ronaldo salary, a significant percentage are added by sponsors.

Yeah, I agree. It’s a bad injury but you can definitely come back strong from it these days with all the top medical science these days.

Young Joe Gomez at Liverpool had the same injury & look at him now!

The price of Sanè is around 100m € if he will have no problems after the injury.

The valuation can be lower only if the player will have problem after the ACL

The greatest option here is that, Real Madrid needs to get rid of Gareth Bale which probably will worth a lot of money as well so they would literally both go into the Fair play thing and also get Mbappe as well, that would be really the ideal situation. What would be even more ideal would probably be an exchange between Madrid and PSG with some money involved as well. Bale hasn't played a decent football for a long time and he is older whereas Mbappe is one of the most promising stars in the world so it is normaly normal that Madrid would have to pay an extra amount (whatever they have left on fair play). In the end maybe they will do totally different things but if I was part of the clubs front offices, I would try to get a talk in about this if possible, would benefit both teams honestly.

I think if Mbappe is to leave PSG it’ll be to Real Madrid. I saw some rumours LFC like him & the feeling is mutual with Mbappe but they don’t usually sign players like that, they develop them & make them stars. Mbappe is an amazing player so whoever gets him is very lucky.

Kylian Mbappe looks not comfortable anymore in PSG that on the latest match against Montpellier he was looks angry after being replaced and the rumour was appears since yesterday that in this summer Real Madrid will attempts to get him and the price for Mbappe is worth more than 250 million euro if agreement happened

Not sure about his valutation but his contract will expire in 26 months.

In the end, the Emre Can operation turned out to be a €1 Million loan deal + a €25 Million obligatory purchase at the end of the loan contract if certain results are achieved by Borussia. The official announcement doesn't mention what those results are and what exactly was agreed.

Another Juventus player left the club. Marko Pjaca has been transferred on loan to Anderlecht.

I think that deal works out best for both parties. Juventus & Can will be happy with the outcome. He should have just stayed at Liverpool.

Ighalo has always put in his best irrespective of the club he players at. Hoping Manchester United toxicity doesn't affect him and he can shine as his counterparts Ndidi (Leicester) and Iheanacho (Leicester) are currently performing in the premier league. This deal just made him the first Nigeria to play for Manchester United. Can't wait for his debut.

The surprise of all the surprises indeed. Usually once you go to China, that is the end of your professional career. Maybe now this can signal a return of guys like Ibrahimovic from MLS and Ighalo from China League, who come back to play for legendary clubs. Maybe David Villa from Japan can make a surprise return to La Liga for a smaller club?

Anyway, I still hope my Spurs can land someone new in end of season. I am glad they waited and Mourinho did not go for rushed buys.

Just heard Juve wants Van Dijk from Liverpool this summer.  But it's hard to take that seriously knowing that they want Pogba too for big money.
If Liverpool are going to sell Van Djik, then the team wishing to buy him should be ready to bring over five hundred million pounds Grin, I think that's the only sort of amount that they'll pay attention to. With how good Van Djik has been since he came to Liverpool and how good Liverpool have been since then, I don't see him leaving any time soon, neither do i see any team affording him, except they are ready to pay something crazy.

Did Chelsea sign anyone? I thought they were going to be really busy with signings this January.

He will not come to Juventus for that price.
Juventus have not the money they reported, 170m €.

The Sun is a shitty paper for market info.
Van Dijk is too old for that money.

The max price that any team will pay for him will be max 100m€ but again he will stay in Liverpool.

Is easier to get Messi now at Juventus with Ronaldo than Van Djik

Matuidi can now sign for a new team for free.
I doubt that will happen. I have read reports saying talks will soon start for a contract extension  Roll Eyes
Some media report that a summer move of Mbappe to Real Madrid is long done. The teams are not going to comment on that during this season.

Thoughts anyone?

Is a "Messi's" cases happening?

https://www.naijaloaded.com.ng/sport/he-is-angry-lionel-messi-blasts-barcelona-legend-abidal-see-what-he-said

Remember the care CR7?

Messi can leave Barcelona for free. Where he can go? Probably not in Spain/France/Germany.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/barcelona-transfer-news-lionel-messi-contract-gerard-pique-spain-a9094516.html

Italy or England my guesses, Juve with CR7?  Shocked
It's not very nice things, especially when it goes out in public. But I don't think that such little drama can force Messi to leave. Barca would rather sack Abidal to satisfy Messi.
And I just don't see Messi playing in other European club. Maybe it's possible that he can go to Argentina before retirement. Asia is also possible. But Juve with CR7, how you can imagine this Cheesy?
@JeromeTash, just small correction, Iniesta playing in Japan, not China Wink.
