Transfer gossip today:

Manchester United are not discussing bringing Juventus and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club. Is this news the final end of that rumor?
Real Madrid believe they might be able to sign France striker Kylian Mbappe for about £160m if the 21-year-old does not sign a new deal with Paris St-Germain. Will this be the transfer of the decade for Real and the beginning of a new era?
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, has admitted surprise at speculation that he could leave the club at the end of the season and join Tottenham. It seems to me that Bayern are giving up their deserving players too easily.

@Daniel91 it’s really sad if Ronaldo is not coming back, as I sincerely believed that he would be making a return to Manchester United.

Also I can’t believe it that Real Madrid can sign Mbappe for such an affordable amount, and if this transfer goes ahead then it’ll be one of the best transfers that Real Madrid has finalised since Ronaldo left.

Lastly Bayern is risking losing Alba and Boateng for free in the summer transfer window, and i believe that these two defenders will be snapped up quickly by other tops clubs if Bayern allowed their contracts to expire.

Liverpool are ready to make an offer to Olympiakos for Portuguese defender Ruben Semedo, to cover for the injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez. Panic shopping for LIverpool?
Maybe they shouldn't have sold Lovren after all?

How about another crazy scenario: Messi leaving Barcelona for Man City (https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-transfer-rumours-messi-19276998) and Rolando somehow joining United? These are rumors, and they still sound far fetched but in the rare case it happens, Premier League gets hurled into the center of the football stage with more Rolando vs Messi battles  Shocked

Juve doesn’t really have a choice, they can’t pay for his extension. I feel like some other Series A club is going to take him. They want PSG to take him but depending on how much they are paying for Neymar they’re not going to have enough money to sign Rolando too.

https://www.juvefc.com/juventus-would-like-to-offer-ronaldo-an-extension-but-he-is-too-expensive/

We will see what will happen, as said in the past Ronaldo with the increased sponsor's deals negotiated by his sign, costs only 15€ year as passive to Juventus.

We will see what he will want to do, and an extension in his contract will be less money/year than now at the same salary because the cost/year will be divided into more years equal to the extention.

The currents rumour not because they are can't extend Ronaldo's contract on 2022. But, as @tokeweed mentioned above, Pirlo want to release ronaldo because he is not follow Pirlo's instruction on the training nor on the matches.

Could this open the possibility of Alaba moving to Liverpool this winter? His contract runs out next year and he doesn't want to extend it. So if Bayern doesn't want to let him go completely without any compensation, that could be a good deal for both sides.

I thought that Alaba would be our first pick, but from the info I've been able to gather he's not even on the shortlist.

According to rumors, top 3 picks are Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano, Brighton's Ben White and Schalke's Ozan Kabak.

Not sure what to think of them, Upamecano seems overhyped, don't really rate White and I've never seen Kabak play.

Upamecano will end in Munich, at least that's what I think. He'll replace either Alaba or Boateng. Don't know about Ben White though.

Schalkes Kabak could be very realistic. Wasn't Liverpool already interested in him during the summer transfer window? Just the question how much they'll have to pay Schalke so that they let him go. They are currently in a very difficult situation: One one hand they could need every penny because they are broke af. On the other hand they are in real danger of relegating this season and a strong Kabak could maybe help avoiding the relegation. For Schalke it becomes a matter of weighing up what helps more: A strong Kabak or the money they get for him to strengthen the team in other positions.

Juventus has rumoured will release Ronaldo, I think this is a bad decision if they are released him this january. i think Juventus still need him to take a chance to win, but he is not a players who can follow Pirlo's instruction, this is the reason of this rumour coming. However, Pirlo is new as coach, i think to early to decide about Ronaldo

I also saw this news. Here is  the link :https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2020/11/11/cristiano-ronaldo-manchester-united-transfer-news/

Juventus should not release Ronaldo right now. At least not this season. Now if Juventus released Ronaldo, their forward line-up will break. Dybala is a good player, he has great skill. But right now he’s not that much skilled.I think Juventus should have at least one more season with Ronaldo in the squad.
Surely right now in Serie A they are facing some good competition from few teams and if they are going to do any move like this then surely its going to hurt them very badly so in this season they are not giving any way like this but in near future its possible when they able to have some good replacement for Ronaldo as now many new young generation players are capable to do some very good for their teams.
You're right mate. Serie A is becoming more competitive day by day. Most of the teams have some star players in their squad. And almost everyone plays well. The biggest thing is that the matches of Serie A are much more enjoyable and exciting. Everyone likes such a gameplay. Many of my friends now prefer Serie A matches than Spanish league matches. Juventus is one of the best team in Serie A. Now if they release Ronaldo, their forward line up will break down badly. Maybe in the future we won't see Juventus in the top 5. Because Serie A is very competitive. So I think it's very foolish to release Ronaldo at this moment.

If  they want to exchange Ronaldo with Mbappè they probably will do, otherwise I don't think he will leave before the expiration of his contract.

I don't know about possibility of exchange Ronaldo with Mbappe before, but I read a news from local media if PSG may agree to swap Neywmar with Ronaldo. However, whether Mbappe or Neymar, of course this can still help Juventus to face the league with confidence even Ronaldo is completely removed from Pirlo's plans and the transfer come true.

is there a possibility that Ronaldo and Messi both leave their clubs at the same time and some team would like to buy them? surely, it will cost a lot of money but such step may pay off due to the large interest for that team.

Yeah for the same reason is easier if Ronaldo stays and Messi will come to Juve for free since his contract will expire, isn't it easier if only one needs to move? Don't you think?  Grin

Every 2 months we have this rumor since he arrived here in Italy.
Even in the 1st year after 6 months we got those rumors.

Juventus has a contract with him if the wants to leave before the end they will need to pay to Juventus an amount wanted by Juvenuts.

Liverpool will be looking for a CB in the January transfer window. Van Dijk is out for the season, looks like Joe Gomes might have an even worse injury with England in training. We are in deep trouble, only Matip a senior recognised CB at the club. Looks like Fabinho will be playing with Matip for the foreseeable future. Trent AA is out for a month atm too, testing times. Thiago is fit for after the international break so that’s one positive.

Boateng is another CB from Bayern which won't get a new contract in Munich. It's rumored that he might move to the BPL, maybe Arsenal, Chelsea or the Spurs. Who know, maybe Liverpool see him as an option, too. However, I wouldn't really like that transfer. Boateng is already 32 years old, I would prefer that the Reds are signing a younger player.

It is not just about Juventus not having anyone as good as Ronaldo only, it is also about "release" of him, like they are not even trying to sell him, they just want to get rid of him? They got him recently for 100 million! That is a huge amount of money to pay for a player to just let him go without any amount of money at all.

I understand that he could be 36 years old and many may think that dude doesn't deserve a high transfer fee because of his age, but look at Ibrahimovic right now and what he is doing at 40 years old, you could definitely get another 4 years of Ronaldo if you keep him, and if you sell him you are giving away 4 years of a very good player even at that age. I mean if Juventus doesn't want him anymore and think they can do better without him, by all means do sell him, but releasing him? Thats a very wrong move.

This will depend on Pirlo decision, if he think Ronaldo not being "good boy" as he wants, maybe not. But one think must be considered by Juventus board about "money", Ronaldo is asset for Juventus, he can bring a lot of sponsor for Juventus, losing him will make their income more lower. Except, Juventus can bring another "global idol" to the clubs.

-snip- so Until January they can handle things and then have some good CB will give them some good relief for rest of season.
since two primary Liverpool CB getting injured, i think transfer for Koulibaly will become priority for the reds. as we know, the most targetted CB atm is him. But, maybe napoly will released him if Liverpool can pay more than 150m euro.

One more good thing for Liverpool during this period they have not tough matches jut two one against Leciester and second one against Tottenham so Until January they can handle things and then have some good CB will give them some good relief for rest of season.
