Seems like United are finally preparing to go for Pochettino.
I thought he'd be getting that job last season but Ole was given a bit more time after a great run of results at the end of the season that got them CL spot.

It seems like a perfect fit on paper, Poch is a great coach. The thing is - I'm really curious to see how he'll work with Woodward. My guess? Not really well.
Anyhow - a step in the right direction for United, but still a long way to go before they climb out of the hole they dug themselves into.

@cryptofrka Manchester United have yet to officially begin any communication with Pochettino, and some media outlets are saying that they may miss out on appointing him if they don’t act fast. Also in a not so surprising news Manchester United are ready to sell Pogba, for $60 million to Real Madrid in the next summer transfer window, and I’m sincerely hoping that this deal actually takes place.

Moussa Diaby from bayer leverkusen

~snip~
If this happens I hope that his fate is not like Donny van de Beek. In fact, if I'm not mistaken in this position, Marcus Rashford is doing well. Why don't they focus on the problem in defense, at the moment I think they are bad at defense. I've read that if I'm not mistaken they are eyeing Sevilla defenders Jules Kounde and Pau Torres from Villarreal.

Alaba would probably go towards Spain if you ask me but I can't believe he will be let go for free. Normally players that are this expensive do not get to become free players, every team that owns these kinds of players sign them one way or another in order to sell them and make money. This is a dude that is only 28 years old and could gather as much as 50 million euro if you want to sell him, obviously when he wants out the price goes down a bit but we are talking about huge sums of money.

Bayern is not known as a team who loses money that easily, whatever they make from their winnings, they end up using that very smartly and rarely ever lose money, this would probably the worst deal in Bayern history for the past 10-15 years. Wonder why they can't convince him to stay.

I am so glad that this whole story seems to have an end now. Sure, it's a huge loss for Bayern but Alaba and especially his advisor Pini Zahavi really look damn greedy after all this. Apparently Bayern had offered Alaba a contract with a salary up to 20 million Euro ... Zahavi was also demanding 15 - 20 million as a commision for the new contract. Crazy numbers in a time, in which all clubs have to do without many revenues due to the Corona crisis. Now that he's free and clubs won't have to pay a transfer fee, there are probably more clubs able to fullfil his wishes when it comes to his salary.

Will be interesting who Bayern will get as a replacement for Alaba. Maybe Upamecano from Leipzig. Other rumors are Schuurs from Ajax or Zagadou from Dortmund ...

This guy was a really hot prospect a number of years ago, his career seems to have stalled in recent years but hopefully he can get back on track with this move.

He has been paid 45m€ from Inter 3 years ago if I can remember correctly, now is valuation is down by 66% Shocked.
Khedira may leave Juventus in January he is out of the project and probably he will never even be in the bech for this season.

The German Kicker is reporting that Jerome Boateng might extend his contract at FC Bayern for another year. Since David Alaba is about to leave Bayern next summer a stay of Boateng becomes more likely.

Bayern bosses will discuss the future of Jérôme Boateng whose contract expires next year, especially now that Alaba may leave the club. Boateng could receive a 1-year contract as is Bayern's philosophy with deserved over 30 y/o players like Robben & Ribéry in the past [Kicker]

David Alaba - now the way is free for him to move to spain or england

In the last transfer market window, David Alaba has attracted many clubs, with this result, those who want to get Alaba are easier to sign him. The clubs are curently linked with alaba is Chelsea and Liverpool. I think Barcelona will try to sign him too

I think he will command a high salary but he’s a top player, in the absolute peak of his career. He’d be a great signing for any team.

The fun fact about ole at the wheel is that everytime there is a rumor pushing ole to get sacked , the next day manchester united playing so spartan like it is a champions league final and win the game unexpectedly.
The rumor then disappeared and after that the team play like shit again lol and the repeat.
This time after beat psg and the media a little bit calm down and then suddenly lost to arsenal and the underdog basaksehir . Will he finally leave united and pochettino joins the dream team?
I bet this time will be the same , ole will stay for a while.

small detail - Diaby is the fastest player in the bundesliga at the moment Grin

If Man Utd are serious about signing him I assume he might push for the deal. Man Utd can probably offer him more money in wages & it would be a logical career step up.

Transfer rumours:

Borussia Dortmund's Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20, has been backed to join Liverpool instead of Manchester United by RB Salzburg's sporting director Christoph Freund. Great news for LIverpool fans if the news is correct.
Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has given the green light for South Korea forward Son Heung-min, 28, to be handed a contract worth £200,000 a week, plus performance-related bonuses. A contract of life for a Korean player  Grin
The release clause in the contract of Barcelona's Spanish 17-year-old attacking midfielder Pedri has been set at 400m euros. Barcelona seems to have learned a lesson from the Neymar case.

Geoffrey Kondogbia move to atletico madrid - for free

Atlético make emergency signing: Valencia’s Kondogbia joins for fee below his market value
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/news/view?id=373945

Not for free, the fee is around 15 mil. euro.

That spanish 'emergency transfer' rule has so many holes, it's unbelievable. A lot of clubs are preparing to vote against it and I really do hope that it gets scrapped.

________________________________

I'm really holding my fingers crossed that we go for Alaba. Potential problem? He is leaving Bayern because he said they promised him that he'll be playing more in midfield. There's no way he'd get a spot in our midfield and if that's what he wants then we won't be interested for sure.

There have been no more phenomenal transfers this season because almost all clubs are hit by the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Many clubs have had to cut the salaries of their players in order to survive in the league and be able to continue the competition without any income from spectators, because matches are not allowed by many clubs who experience financial crisis this season.
Not only the small teams big teams are also experiencing financial difficulties this season because the only income is from sponsors and TV broadcasting rights, hopefully this crisis will end soon and we can watch football again at the stadium.

Remember one thing, players who have their contract in expiration on 30/06/2021 can sign as a free agent for any team from 1st February 2021.

This is the list for the players (in the 1st page we have the most valuable players) from https://www.transfermarkt.com/statistik/endendevertraege

And from here you can see why I called the Napoli president a clown, in this list the only teams with more players is Napoli.

When I saw that he is available for a move the first club that came to my mind was Chelsea.
They are trying to build something good with new players (age) and they also need experienced in order to build something strong.
Alaba is a player that can give experience along with speed and stability at their defense thus is would be a great addition.
