Currently Inter Milan is also in as they are watching this all may be they will also try to have messi for next few years ~
Inter Milan has a chance to get Messi in the next season if Messi decides to move to another clubs and Barcelona allows him. But I don't think Barcelona will make it easy for Messi to leave because he is the soul of Barcelona squad and the player who has the most influence in the club. His influence isn't only in the field but also for Barcelona sponsorship and fans. To be honest, I am a bit doubtful if Messi will leave Barcelona.

Couldn't agree more. If Barca drags Messi to the court after all he did for them, it will not end well. They should do some gentlemen agreement with Messi and let him for free or maybe they can agree that he can go for 50-100M which shouldn't be an obstacle for City or PSG. I believe that he would also like to get his favorite club a little bit of extra money even if he doesn't want to play there anymore.

That response from Barca on his decision to leave if true was very stupid. If they make an enemy of Messi that can only lead to another failed season for both of them.

I don't know how much effect COVID will have on this transfer window but i think minimum Messi could go for is 100M. I mean , it's Messi we are talking about not some Eden Hazard or Ousmane Dembélé. Even at 33, he's no ordinary player just Like CR7 when he was moving to Juventus.

Now the Real Dilemma is will a club like City once again risk breaching the Financial Fair Play rules?

Juventus is very close to McKennie Froms Schalke 3m loan 2020 and 18m in 2021.

Never seen him so idk if he can be a good player.

One of the few that performed well on Schalke. I just doubt that they will let him go on a loan. Schalke is notriously broke, they desperately need transfer income to have money for new players. If McKennie won't bring that money, maybe they are gonna sell Kabak or Harit?

Chelsea are really spending some money in this transfer window aren’t they. It looks like Abramovich really wants to have a proper shot at winning the big trophies again. They definitely look like they might be a force this season.

Ben Chilwell from Leicester to Chelsea is completed. He has signed 5 year contract with the London based club. Good defensive buy for Lampard side.

I wonder what is going on with Kai Havertz to Blues.

Dean Henderson also signed a new 6 year contract with Manchester United. Henderson just completed his loan period at Sheffield and had a great last season so another great option for Ole if he someday maybe wanna switch him up in placeof De Gea.

Yup, Barcelona is really doing all the wrong things lately.
Remember the Lewandovski case? He signed for Bayern on a free contract while still at Borussia and they bumped the salary for the last 6 months of his contract as a 'thank you' for all he did for them.

Lewandovski did 100x less for Borussia than Messi did for Barcelona so I really hope it does not go to court. He deserves better.

^  Where do you think he's going?  I've been hearing City...  But dunno if I should be excited about it or scared tbh.  Lol.  I mean sure I'd love to see him play at the EPL but being a City fan, I fear the 'bla bla bla money club bla bla bought title bla'.

But at the same time it was really coming to this with Ferran Soriano and Txiki going to City..  then Pep.  You just kinda knew there was a chance for Messi...  We'll see.

Edit:  And he gave everythng to the club.  Barca should just do the honorable thing and let him go.

I don't think it's about getting a better contract or him not getting his way...  He was there at Barca since he was a kid ffs.  It's waaay over due that he got sick of the place and go out there and play somewhere else.

I think it’s a ploy by Messi to get a better contract or something, I just don’t think he will leave. Something to consider is he’s 33, he would command huge wages, could he adapt to a new league?

Its the thing that he is not getting things inside Barcelona as the way he wanted and its getting worse and worse, I mean the players and so. I also smell that he doesn't likes the list of players Koeman is trying to off-load from Barcelona which could be one. Don't know the exact thing going behind but as long as the things are not getting right in order as Messi wanted , its only one thing- "Messi wants to leave".

Well according to on betting he will go to Manchester City.
[...]

ManCity would make the most sense. Messi would go back go to his mentor Guardiola and City is now certainly ready to pay him a princely salary (+ hand money) after they fell short of their expectations again this season. The sheik could see in Messi the last piece in the puzzle to finally win the Champions League.

Wow, this with Messi is getting serious. He's been doing stunts like these for a while now and Bartomeu already resigned but this time it looks a bit different - he seems to have had enough.

There are some rumors (from Honigstein and Ornstein) that Guardiola and Messi don't want another stint together - I really wonder where will he go if he leaves Barcelona. Nobody's talking about Man Utd but considering the lack of clubs in position to pay him, I think they are among favorites if City's not interested.

On the other hand, Balague reports City interest: https://twitter.com/GuillemBalague/status/1298555043436793862.

I just don’t see it happening, he will stay at Barcelona I think. I will be very surprised if he comes to the PL. The history is there with Pep but I don’t know, I think it’s unlikely.

With so much on he'd rather stop playing than stay on Barcelona. New rumors are that Messi is likely to join Inter-Milan which in my perspective is a much better team for Messi than Manchester City. PSG would have been another good option. There were even rumors about him joining Chelsea. As a personal fan of Messi, I'd love him play in Serie-A or Ligue1 rather than Premier league.

Messi have done reasonable thing for FCB even when cutting of players wages was introduced by the club and I also dont see anything bad in him leaving the club now.

Speaking of him (Messi) and Guardiola not to have another stint together is not genuine story. Although, Guardiola once make the statement and he never explain the reason behind his action but hes willing to welcome Messi now.

Well according to on betting he will go to Manchester City.

Keep in mind this means nothing since the odds change in the base in what people are betting. For example, if I bet 500000 BTC in PSG the bookmakers will change the odds to be able to pay the rest.

So the rumors of a Messi move are not something that Barcelona
fans can accept, I bet Messi won't move from Barcelona.

There are lot of disagreements and arguments going on and this is making Messi unhappy with the way things are going down at Barcelona. So can't say for sure if he is gonna remain at club. Maybe perhaps things work according to him then?

Right now most of the PL teams are reported to be interested in Messi. Barcelona are in difficult situation just like someone predicted here earlier.

I think it’s a ploy by Messi to get a better contract or something, I just don’t think he will leave. Something to consider is he’s 33, he would command huge wages, could he adapt to a new league?

I came across one interesting article that probably answers this question.
The article is not in English so I bring a short translation.
Basically, Messi has been picking players and practically leading the team so far and now Koeman has told him it’s over.
Koeman is known for giving stars ultimatums and thus imposing his authority.
''Barcelona's official motto is "more than a club". Messi was therefore more than that. Koeman told him it was over with these words, Ole said: "The privileges you had are over and I will not be flexible on the matter. You have to think of the team and no one is above it."
After this, the offended Messi requested the termination of the contract.
