I assume that Barcelona shouldn't really be doing stuff like this if they were taking care of their economy. I mean lets be real, this is the team that wins La Liga quite commonly, which means they should be making a ton of money from that alone, but they also go to quarter finals and above on champions league pretty commonly as well and they also end up winning it time to time too as we all know.

When you combine all of this and their worldly known status, I would say that Barcelona probably has a ton of revenue and income. What type of costs do they have to say that they need to clear the books and make it look like they are profiting a lot? I mean is it the high salaries? Is it something else? This team really should be raking in cash, how are they needing stuff like this?

Besides their success in La Liga (and UCL), Barcelona also has transfer spendings like only a few other teams in the world (not even talking about salaries). And let's be honest. Their signings over the last couple of years were all underwhelming considering how much money they spend on them. After the season 2014/15 they signed, amongst others, Arda Turan (34 million euros), Aleix Vidal (17 million euros), Andre Gomes (37 million euros), Paco Alcacer (30 million euros), Lucas Digne (16.5 million euros) or Malcom (41 million euro). None of these had any real impact.

The ones I listed above were only the cheap "mispurchases". Of course there was also Philippe Coutinho, a 145 millio euro transfer who is now on loan at Bayern Munich and it looks like Bayern doesn't want to sign him and Barca doesn't want him to come back either. An pretty expensive misunderstanding for Barcelona. Another example is Ousmane Dembelé. Once he forced his 125 million euro transfer from Dortmund by staying away from the team training, now he showed similar behaviour in Barcelona when he didn't attend a video conference in April (the whole team but him was present). Reportedly Barca wants to get rid of him again but no one is willing to pay the 60 million they ask for a player with his history (medical and behaviour).

And that Setien, as head coach, said publicly yesterday that he thought it would destabilize the team if he brings Griezmann is just the icing on the cake. Yes, he's talking about Antoine Griezmann, the striker who came from Atletico for 120 million euro! Did the officials at Barcelona only realize the doesn't really fit into their team after they transfered the money to Madrid?

• Man Utd and Man City interested in swap deal for Griezmann. [source]
I dont think that Griezmann will soon be close to one of two English clubs who are interested in his services. Although Antonie does not rule out the possibility of moving to another club, he still has dream that have not yet come true in Barcelona. But if that happens, I like him joining Manchester City. But in my opinion, Griezmann will not move immediately because Manchester City will be suspended and will not participate in UCL next season and this may be an obstacle for every player to join Manchester City because every player want to play at UCL.

Guys, Pogba will stay in Manchester United, period. He's happy there, he's starting to find his good form, and no one wants to sign him...There's a reason why there are no rumours about Pogba lately, everyone knows he's not going anywhere. At this point, Pogba to Juve is a wishful thinking.

Ok, a few rumours:

• Chelsea keen on Declan Rice (West Ham). [source]

• Man Utd and Man City interested in swap deal for Griezmann. [source]

• Alaba (Bayern Munich) to Manchester City? [source]

Covid is going to hit all teams in the pocket, I’m not sure if there will be any massive money signings. Pogba might be happier with his situation at Man Utd now, they look likely to get into the CL now.

Nor sure if it has been posted here alrerady but for all of you, including me, who still don't really understand the reasoning for Barca behind the Pjanic - Arthur deal between Juve and Barca:

https://twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/1276039136118480896

It seems it's been an accounting trick to improve their finances. I am not an accountant at all, so I don't really understand all that's going on but it really makes you wonder how Barcas finances look like when they have to use these kind of tricks. I mean, Barca wasn't really known for financially reasonable deals lately.

yes, this is exactly what it is about. they lacked that amount until the end of June to stay positive in his financial books. they put off his financial problem for a while, but the question is how long have you been able to do so. especially if they do business as they do now, selling young and potential players and buying old players which won't be worth much in a year or two.
Juventus took advantage of their problem and took a good player cheaply.

Some even bought the shirt on this tweet. Naturally they want a refund now!

This could not be an easy transfer. We have seen that Juventus fans still love Pogba.

While Barcelona fans are still wondering if it was a good management decision to replace Arthur with Pjanic, the Bosnian player celebrates in tears:

I hope he will show the same emotions and zeal when playing for Barcelona.
What do you think?

I don't think that there will be place for them in Barcelona's first line up.
He is going to get his chances only if Messi leaves the club.
Until then, he is just going to be a replacement for him.

There was some rumour of Man City going for Jadon Sancho race if Sane is sold to Bayern but I hardly do think that he would be willing to come again to City given the CL ban trouble they are into.
Jadon Sancho should just remain in Borussia Dortmund for now. If he moves to City sooner, It might affect his development. They have so many midfielders right now. Imagine Sane was injured all that time and it felt like they didn't miss him at all.

Bayern Munich sign Leroy Sané - Deal significantly below market value

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bayern-munich-sign-leroy-sane--deal-significantly-below-market-value/view/news/364272

This move has been coming for months hasn’t it. He’s a really good player but returning from a very serious knee injury. I hope he can display the same form as pre injury.

So if it's below market value, it means City wants to sell him asap and if they want to sell him asap, they're prolly planning on acquiring somebody.  A striker?  Aguero's prolly on his way out after his contract.

Ok, the window to deposit pre contracts is over at 23.59 30.06.2020 there is no point now to make official contracts before the end of leagues and cups for big players.

I expect 0 official transfer but only rumors till the end of the Champion's League.

Yeah, certainly no big transfers will happen until the CL is finished. The last thing on clubs minds who are still in the CL is signings. It’s all about trophies, Werner was made official but I think that’ll be in isolation rather than the norm.
