Erik ten Hag have in many occasions have said he has the full backing of the management of Manchester United and I don't for any reason doubt the Dutchman because he speaks with so much confidence. The report that Thomas Frank might likely replace him in my own opinion is false because you can't replace a man who's still occupying your his job. The management of Manchester United isn't ready to make any strong decision of sacking their manager anytime soon
Whether all this is a rumor or not is something we will find out soon and the biggest deciding factor for this will be United's performance in the upcoming games.
What we cannot ignore is the fact that Manchester United have not been achieving the results expected by the board and fans, so it is normal for these speculations to arise when the Dutch coach is facing a difficult phase at the helm of the club, and the threat of a dismissal over his position is something that we cannot rule out just yet.
The sequence of negative results, both in the Premier League and the Europa League, has caused concern among the club's directors. This has led to conversations about possible replacements starting to emerge behind the scenes and Thomas Frank, current Brentford manager, is certainly one of the main names considered to replace Ten Hag, should United opt for a change in coaching.
Frank already has experience in English football and was even considered at the beginning of the season, even though at the time the United board opted to keep Ten Hag. Now, with these poor results, it is normal for Frank's name to return strongly in the press rumors.
True or not, Ten Hag needs to improve the team's results to keep his job and, above all, dispel the rumors.
