I would invest these $3000 in different coins. I would invest in ethereum and some new fresh cheap coins. This amount is not enough to invest in bitcoin. It is better to focus on cheaper coins with a higher potential.
my choice is invest which tokens they have very dip and lot's of rooms to grow. when the mega bull is come you can get huge profits with them.
With that amount of money, truth be told, I will have to share the funds into specific parts, and the spit the on different coins. That's enough money to make good investments all over the place. Seeing that I already have some good investments in BTC, I will go on and spread that money on some good altcoins. Maybe Monero, Neo, and BNB.
My opinion honestly is to invest in Switcheo SWTH at least 500€, just do not invest all your money in one coin, that is just plain dumb. But Switcheo is really good, it is under 5 million market cap, Erc20 dex and qrc20 dex in next 1 month I think. A really solid project. I think it will definetly reach at least 300 million market cap. Put 500€ in Neo and some other good alts, ADA is pretty cheap right now.
I think the first thing I would do is to ensure 1 btc, once you have that currency on your wallet, I would start to see new options, any of the top 10 will generate a good long-term income, when the bull market starts again, now is a very good time to invest as many currencies are undervalued.
I am sticking with bitcoins, seem bitfinex will do a great deal of work in encouraging the price movement with more tether being released, 100M today and price doing nice so far. Why Zilliqa at the end of August?
Given 3000$ I would probably evenly distribute it across many different low volume coins that I see potential in and hope to make a semi decent profit. Other than this I would probably invest in a fairly stable coin such as bitcoin or ether when it is at a low point .
I think it's better to invest in Bitcoin 1500$ then 1500$ again in ethereum just for me and this is what i will do but not that amount of money though 
If I have $3,000 I will spread $2000 on altcoins and $1000 on bitcoin and wait till the end of the year
Ziliqa is a good option to invest. But my advice is that do not invest all your money on one coin. Just split it up between 3-4 good altcoins and maybe some btc too. Coming months might be a bull run ahead.
Don't use it to one project/coin. Just using $2k for investment then $1k for backup fund. The first $1k for buying btc and $1k else split to altcoins that you interest on. I think this is safe money management.
If I may choose the ethereum or if not in EOS. This is probably the potential in altcoin large and certainly most likely to reach the high score will be enough. Moreover, the ethereum is the best altcoin are low in value and this became a chance to buy at a price that small.

Before I wrote ETH but now I do not know. BTC has a cobra and ETH does not keep it. I keep my fingers crossed for everything to improve ...

I think that it's better to invest it in bitcoin because this leader is the most stable and optimal coin on the crypto market. But if you do not want then you can also not lose with the ethereum or litecoin.
