Loose lips sink sigs!
It took me a while to find this forum, but it's now become my "go-to" sources for the BTC community. Thanks!

How do I change the font color in signature? Thank you!

Code:
[color=red]insert signature here[/color]

Do the above. To change the colour just preview a post with your signature in, highlight it and then use the change colour drop down menu at the top right.
    Thank you very much. As you can see, works well Cool.

* g00gsy wonders what my time factor would be to assist in estimating my activity!
i cant partake in a giveaway cuz my sig is to short to enter the required info :/

You can have a longer signature when you become a Jnr Member. You need 30 activity to become a Jnr Member. The next activity period starts tomorrow so you can get abother 14 points then.

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

The software won't allow you to have a long signature because it knows you talk about yourself in the third person.

Adding or removing text to/from a username is particularly likely to be accepted because it doesn't make it significantly easier for someone to scam. Your identity isn't really changed. I tend to ignore requests for complete username changes except from veteran members. (Even then, it's one of the lowest-priority requests I receive, so it can be forgotten. I have kind of a "leaky queue" for forum work -- if I don't get to a request in a couple of days, I usually drop it.)

Sounds fair. Thanks for your elaborations, theymos. Smiley

Being a Hero member doesn't make you respected or your contributions valid at all. It just means you've been here over a year+. And nobody has a scammer tag anymore. They were all removed recently.

Will theymos ever lower the 10BTC/50BTC donator and VIP to get those tags?
Maybe 4BTC and 20BTC fairer?

It's pretty impossible for someone to achieve or pull $25,000 for a forum tag these days

He's said he won't lower them, but maybe implement lower/cheaper ranks in the future, but I don't see the point of donating just for a title. If you want to donate you still can.

WikiScams.org - Information about Bitcoin Scams
Sometimes forum ranks/positions can send out very conflicting messages. Someone like TradeFortress can be a VIP (Very Important Person) member and a "Hero" member which indicates that they are highly respected and that their contributions are valued by the community and staff. But they can also be banned, labeled with "scammer" tags, or have "Trade with extreme caution!" attached to their profile.

The revolution will be digital

The way activity is calculated:
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.
Does "min" in the activity calculation = Total time logged in ?

min here means minimum, it is a mathematical function which chooses between the two values (as in this case) and takes the least of them as the result... Cool
What two values does it choose between?
Is it 14 or # of posts?

Value 1 = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration * 14
Value 2 = # of posts

Minimum is taken Smiley
