Strangely James Bilal Caan claims that he was the founder of bitcoin.. But lost his hard drive.. Is this possible??

What you guys think about James? Why he use this type of statement.. Specially his explanation about his hard drive?

Nowadays, Satoshi has a fashion to claim. One after another, people come out saying that I am Satoshi.

I think there's a question we have to ask these people! If you were supposed to show up one day, why did you hide your identity until now?

I have watched a Youtube video regarding the Part 1 of the Satoshi Nakamoto revelation.
I don't want to say that he isn't Satoshi but to lost the access to the address who holds ~1M Bitcoins?? I don't think that can be acceptable. If he really is the creator, he must've created a backup of it. I don't believe that he is Satoshi but lets way for the other parts and maybe it will convince other stupids out there Cheesy.

I already read that article. That, apparently, is not possible, because of he had not any backup of his drive and he would just loss his hard drive with £8.1billion of “early Bitcoin” just like that!

That is why I bought a separate hard drive and I advise you!

Claiming to be Satoshi but in a different way. But again, no valid and enough proof or evidence to make everyone believe about his statement.
Bute seriously, since a lot of people are claiming to be Satoshi, it makes it even harder to believe.

Such strange claims have been around for quite some time now. Everyone knows those who are claiming that they are the founder of Bitcoin can never prove it as due to some strange event they either lose their private key or hard drive.

I feel sorry for these guys, they have some kind of psychological disorder. Most of them are hungry for media attention and some of them have become rich by claiming to become the founder of Bitcoin.

We as a community are a fool to follow them and listen to their stories.

it's funny how everyone who claims to be the founder of bitcoin seems to have lost something to prove that they are the actual founder.
also do does he know that the "hard drive" is not the only way to prove that he is the founder of bitcoin. these people who will claim
that they are satoshi should do better and not stay to the ol "I lost something to prove that I am satoshi".

I would put him on a lie detectors and see if he can prove anything, starting from his name change.
I also wonder who in the world takes pictures of old laptops if they still keep them.

Point of his 'reveal' is to introduce his company product...whatever that is,
and sadly some newbies believe him...  Roll Eyes

How convenient, isn't it? Well, everything is possible, however, the only valid claim is by signing properly a new message with the keys known to be Satoshi's.
No proof, no Satoshi.

(Also, why on earth would he make such claims after hiding so many years?!)

Right, he is just one of those people who want to get credits from the success of bitcoin, it could be that he might have other intentions like trying to introduce another coin and for the coin to be as successful as bitcoin he wanted to use Satoshis name for the coin to be recognize and and for people to invest in it. For me he is just one of the con artist that is wanting attention from people nothing more.

Consider him a troll, do you honestly believed that Satoshi would just loss his privatekey just like that?

i don't think satoshi lost the private keys by accident, but i think he/they intentionally lost them. comments like these give me the distinct feeling that satoshi took an altruistic approach to bitcoin, not a greedy one:

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.

but yeah, caan is just a troll. it's obvious satoshi is either dead or intended never to be found. so unless somebody provides the proof, they're just a troll. if my theory is correct, there literally is no proof. Smiley

You can just add James Bilal Caan to the long list of FakeToshis out there that wants to claim that they are Satoshi Nakamoto. Losing the hard drive is the perfect excuse not to be able to digitally sign the early Bitcoin addresses that would be accepted as a true validation that you are the real Satoshi Nakamoto.  Roll Eyes

Can this happen? Yes for sure this could happen, but it is very unlikely that a genius like Satoshi Nakamoto would make a basic mistake like that and also not realistic that he would have stored all those coins on one hard drive.  Roll Eyes

He's stupid enough to think people would believe in that. Any sane developer would make a backup for their project in case something bad happened in their current hardware. He is another attention seeker trying to seek fame through impersonating an online genius. Just like the others who noticed, just ignore him, you'll just make it worst.

If you are so smart to create something like Bitcoin would you lose something so important like that?
Wouldn't you create a copy or something just to make sure that it's safe?
This is just another person who wants to get some attention,
I mean Satoshi hid since the Bitcoin was created so why would Satoshi go out to the public now?

He just seek an attention, what the point for someone like satoshi to ruin his own image for claiming this after 10 years without capability to proof himself as a real satoshi

Is there any experts out there at comparing an analyzing written scripts of the people who already claimed that they were satoshi? Maybe this claims are made by a single group of companies? Paid their actors and then later on pull their names up leading to their own benefits and their respected companies. These people aren't just stopping from 1 person to another, it's like a disease that is spreading all over the net. I think later on more random guys will pop up claiming to be satoshi, and it could be you or me too.

It's a weak explanation, I am a newbie in using a laptop but I see to it that if I have important files, I will make sure that will give them instructions that they are going to return my old Hdd or will go to the office myself and see all the procedures on how they are going to fix my laptop.
or always create a backup, I don't know the situation back 2009 but people have some tools on how to back up their files back then.

And another one, Im tired of this. There are a lot of people saying they are the founder of bitcoin, they are Satoshi Nakamoto but man, there are a lot of ways to prove that and that drive is not enough, not even true, might be. If it is him, let him prove it. He is saying that he is the founder and yet what he is saying so early is his reason and not a proof.

Don't believe to an individual that claims to be satoshi unless he can prove him in the simplest way. And how could that be? Through this quote below.

the only valid claim is by signing properly a new message with the keys known to be Satoshi's.

It's not the first time to see someone claim to be satoshi even CSW claimed to be him but he can't prove it through that validation.
