Unfortunately there are Always people who try to take Advantage of the Opportunities offered and this can be a big Problem At one point I Always told myself that Freebitco.in was a site that I Admired for its Faucet , Because it is Incredible that it had still been maintained without the abuses that other casinos reported when they had their faucets For me Freebitco.in means a lot, it is the first site where I learned about bitcoin and Everything Related to gambling If the solution is to Remove the Faucet, then that is the way or put Another type of Security that is by Public IP to Avoid Abuses of Multiple accounts.
You must be one of the people who has been in the world of cryptocurrency for quite a long time, because at that time freebitcoin was better known as a faucet and I remember being able to earn hundreds of satoshis per hour so that every week I would receive Bitcoin because of automatic withdrawals.
Unfortunately at that time not many people, including me, predicted that the price of Bitcoin would be like it is today, which if we are patient enough to save it will now provide very high value for our assets.
Freebitcoin also has a sister site which is also known as a faucet where we can get the oldest memecoin that still exists today, but unfortunately the faucet has closed and the management is returning each member's balance.
Faucet abuse has become a massive thing, that's why many faucets have died because they don't get the appropriate return to maintain their website, but amazingly, freebitcoin is still surviving well until now.

Lambo probably worked out fine as a prize for publicity and its just a case of balancing the sums to justify which I presume it does as they keep running it.  Cant see why that particular point would be in for criticism when every site needs people and anything that draws attention is justified in that way then.
- I am saving mine until the beginning of next Autumn.

I doubt it will take that long to get to 61k which is feasibly where the price declines and once there appreciates right back to 70k or so yet again.    Not sure I imagine any of these summer months doing that much in sum total so I roughly agree with the idea but I dont think I want to save it that long unless I knew for sure which I dont.  Got too many now.

Hell, they should either kill the faucet altogether and leave everything else intact, or they should significantly increase the minimum withdrawal amount to something like 1 mBTC. Can't have transaction fees eating away the reserves at each withdrawal.
Withdrawals should go through a strict procedure to ensure their legitimacy before being approved.

Maybe to have users' accounts organized by ratings or flags could help, just like those accounts which don't have a captcha completion required in order to claim the reward from the faucet.

These accounts could be white flagged, meaning the withdrawal process could happen faster, without many security protocols, while new accounts from users who only make use of the faucet should be yellow flagged or something like that, going through stricter processes in order to withdraw their money from the platform.

People who deposit considerable amounts of money on the platform for investment or gambling purposes are less likely to cheat, because they know they can lose their deposits if they do so. Other users have "nothing to lose", though.

TheQuin is currently focusing on fraud prevention across our multiple properties

We've been there.
It's impossible to stop fraudulent traffic when you don't change the way the site operates.

We were criticized when we changed the hourly roll to a daily roll but that's what saved our faucets.

If you want to overcome this fraudulent activity (and don't end up like freedoge.co.in had to shut down) you need to start changing your business model. First of all paying 3 sats at minimum roll is a pure suicide and doing it on a hourly basis is a disaster waiting to happen.

Change your business model first, then worry about how to stop the remaining fraudulent activity. The change itself will deter fraudsters from draining your Bitcoin reserves.

Hell, they should either kill the faucet altogether and leave everything else intact, or they should significantly increase the minimum withdrawal amount to something like 1 mBTC. Can't have transaction fees eating away the reserves at each withdrawal.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I've always known that bots were exploiting the faucet, and if a sophisticated faucet exploit across hundreds of accounts followed by a normal withdrawal is what caused the massive drain in reserves, then Freebitcoin needs to up their security before I can trust them with money again.

It's a shame because I used to advertise for this casino back in the day.

Don't you think they just went too far with competitions like winning the Lambo? The tap earnings are very small and I'm sure most multi-account players have been caught out by the system. In my opinion, this site has become too luxurious and it's just a regular faucet and casino.

It is because a website has many parts that can be attacked by many people. The dependencies you use might have bad code in them, the parts you coded yourself might have stupid logic… If they can’t find anything to attack, they will do DDOS and let’s hope then you are on cloudflare.
That is the thing about a good website, getting attacked by its competition (openly in this case), if there is nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about. Freebitco.in had some backlog issue and the moment that started to happen other competitors started to talk about it and literally "come play with us instead" without any shame at all, they just want more customers and money, and they are doing what they are doing however they want.

This is why I think we should consider how to move forward with what we have, and that is why we are getting so many people attacking. Do you have any idea why they started just as thequin became silent? Because they knew that if thequin was here, he would respond them back and show their true colours.

EDIT: Now it works. Thank you very much for solving FREEBITCO.IN

Hello,

I found your contact here on the forum. I'm having trouble logging into my Freebitcoin account. About a month ago when I tried to log in I got a message that the login information was incorrect and until now the problem is still there. I'm sure I entered them correctly. I tried to reset the password, but the email didn't arrive until the next day, so it was already invalid. Now when I try it, the email doesn't even come.

Unfortunately, I haven't found another contact and I'm already desperate. The bitcoins I have in this account are a wedding gift from my brother and I am unhappy about it. You will be very kind and advise me what to do or where the problem is. Have a nice day, Nikola.

Just a thought but before that today the RP to Spins picture above, changed from 15 RP to 16 RP as BTC price faulted downwards from its prior trend.   So thats raising the spin base figure, we arent going to get 50 back as a spin outcome I doubt but it could double I figure if we get a buffalo run (alot of scared cattle Tongue).

As I remember, last year some users didn't spend WoF spins but accumulated them in anticipation of something. I wonder if there are still those who continue to accumulate WoF spins because now it's obvious that the BTC price won't fall so much, and the base prizes in the Wheel of Fortune will probably never return to 50 sat/rp/tickets.

I still don't understand why so many people are saying something like this? People like you, @BitcoinGirl.Club, people that I trust.

Maybe a competitor trying to ruin the reputation of a competing service?

I've been very active on the site years ago but now I barely free roll once a week maybe, life priorities took over unfortunately.
Never had an issue years ago, neither I noticed any issue lately in the spare usage. Interests are added to the balance, never noticed strangeness happenning on the balance.
However I only deposited from other faucets, never withdrawn so far, so I still have to confirm on my skin if the site is legit in that aspect... but I read of others who've done successfully so I'm confident :v

I had this same thought. There are a few copycat sites trying to look like FBC. This is absolutely speculation but its not impossible. I ran a poker web site about 15 years ago. I had more than one hacker mess with it. They would leave messages telling me i was nothing and i would be taken down. Many of the messages seemed very angry at the little success i had. I honestly had no idea why anyone would be so angry about it.

It is because people are assholes and some of them are actually children, teens or manchild. Even in this forum they exist and they sometimes come up with made up stories to ruin someone’s reputation. It is easy to deal with them in the forum as long as you did no wrongdoing but it is a whole different situation when own a website.

It is because a website has many parts that can be attacked by many people. The dependencies you use might have bad code in them, the parts you coded yourself might have stupid logic… If they can’t find anything to attack, they will do DDOS and let’s hope then you are on cloudflare.

This website freebitco.in is a one-man operation as far as we know and one man can’t do everything perfectly. Something somewhere will break eventually and it did. People lost money because of that.

Are we likely to get a bet setup for the French or the British elections going on.   They poll every adult in those countries so surely thats a big potential audience of bettors, big revenue worth putting the bet on the site I'd guess.

The USA election should be there as that alters the Dollar prospects which in turn is going to alter the Bitcoin price which makes it relevant to all of us here on the outcome.

I have absolutely nothing against competition, it is very well alright that competition could happen and it is good because it improves everyone involved. If you have no competition then you get all the business without working for it or improving at all, which means you will be stuck, whereas if you have a competition then we are talking about a website that needs to improve to keep customers.

However, as I mentioned before months ago, I really dislike it when competition comes in and writes to their competitions topic and saying how this place is doing wrong and they are doing so well. That is unfair and to be fair annoying. If I had even a slight small tiny chance of testing out freebitcoin.io, I would stay away from it like it's the plague after they came in here and wrote here, that is as terrible of thing to do as it gets. Get-paid, try to stay in your on own topic.

Well, if you look at the flag there are 10 of us who don't see things clearly yet. Not all issues are resolved and the fact that you can operate normally does not mean that everybody is doing it but also, the numbers don't add up. See here and here.

We have conducted a thorough review and found no issues on the website. It is possible that specific users may have encountered problems due to viruses or plugins they installed, which are beyond our control.
Isn't it too much coincidence that many high rollers who won the wagering contest (and only them) had their accounts legitimacy compromised by a malicious script which was deflecting their funds to external unknown wallets?

If the issue with malicious script were a generic issue faced by random users, then we could think that it had something to do with external plugins installed by the users themselves (probably plugins related to gambling bots).

But since only specific whales were targeted, it really seems to have been a more elaborated attack against determined platform's users, who the hackers knew to be more profitable to steal from, instead of focusing on random accounts from micro earners containing dust of satoshis, for an example.

I have 2 remarks:

1. The deposit and withdraw attacks were not just targeted against (recent) high rollers. I have not wagered on freebitco.in in months, and my account was still affected. Fortunately, I did not lose any bitcoin, because I did not try to deposit or withdraw when the attacks were taking place; but for a period of ~24 hours my deposit address switched to some unknown address. I have had the same deposit address for years and have not changed it recently, and so I knew immediately that something fishy was going on. After about a day, my deposit address changed back to my normal address.

2. This was absolutely not caused by "viruses or plugins they installed". I have 3 different devices that I use to log in to this site, and my deposit address was switched on every single device. Are you really going to argue that I had the exact same virus on all 3 devices?

I have ~100 messages on this forum, and in nearly all of them I have spoken positively about freebitco.in (they gave me a lambo!). I have to be critical here, though. Blaming users for these recent issues is not cool.

Some of you already know me. I was one of those robbed. 2 times. one depositing because an incorrect address appeared in the official page and another withdrawing because although everything was fine on the screen, all my funds were deposited to another account.

I am very happy if the Client Service becomes proffesional and really answer our issues. As many of you knows, i sent graphical evidences about the issue and the malicious scripts and even i offered my account to Freebitco.in for the investigation.

The issue was not caused by a virus. It was a 100% security issue in Freebitco.in (i prove that because i used different PCs, networks and devices) but  after causing the loss of all the funds of some users and having sent emails with evidence of the hack:

  • no one from Freebitco.in responded to any of my emails.
  • nobody from Freebitco.in have contacted me.
  • of course, we still don't know if they fixed the critical issue or hackers can attack again at any time
.

Nor has the user @TheQuin responded to the private message I sent him. For me, the answer from freebitco.in has been... horrible, shameless. They have laughed at us.

Now, I would appreciate someone from Freebitco.in to calm us.

In fact, i have returned to the page but i am afraid and review the page code every time i need to deposit or withdrawal because i don't know if we are still in danger and the hackers can come back whenever they like.

I think you missed the days when withdrawal is not working. Everything is fixed now with delay withdrawal if you just try the casino just now.

AFAIK, those players that considered as high roller are those players that is affected with the security issue since the hacker probably manage to sent them malware through email since their info is available on the leaderboard winner of freebitco.in contest. Normal players or casual player is not affected so far.

I don't know how long it is happening but I see their trust page of the forum has been ruined. The only action they can take is to fix everything and then come back. I am hopeful that it's not intentional but the technical problem causing all these to them. I feel like they are indeed in trouble and trying hard to fix it.

There have actually been issues with a lot of the users and the team even admitted it. Some with 2FA and email notification, some unable to login or process withdrawals, the issues were just much. Perhaps you were lucky not to be one of those affected. Good thing is that they tried their best to solve the issues on individual basis but their communication about the whole thing was poor and they left the customers to guess what might be the problem.

The disappearance of TheQuin worries me. But, apart from that, what's wrong with the site?
This is the part that scares me the most because he was very active on the forum before, attending to the issues of people. Assuming he left the team, it would have been good he made that known to the community that hold him in high esteem.

Maybe they are still worried about the situation happening on the casino since even by know there's still no representative showing up or at least TheQuin coming up here to clear up the doubts of people.

Yeah we see that there are some people posting that their withdrawals has been process but we cannot erase the fact that there's still an issue happening. But if there's a new representative will be active here or TheQuin comeback then maybe all the worries of people will be eliminated and people will get back to their activities then forget about the issues happened.

Also it seems there's a smear campaign spreading and maybe they try to attack freebitco.in that's why its important that there's someone from them come here to clarify the issue so that people will not get worried about the situation happening on their casino.
