In the match between Montpellier vs PSG in the French Soccer League, PSG won by 3 goals. However, we know that PSG is a very strong team. PSG team is now at the 1st position in the points table. 22nd round is going to start tomorrow with first match is going to play between PSG vs Toulouse with PSG is currently leaders and Toulouse is currently best team from the start of 2023 with having 13 points from their last five games which is amazing stuff from them and if they are able to hold PSG this could be amazing effort with having good chance for other teams in league table to cut the difference of points and create some good interest for the title race which was looking bore few weeks back but now after two loses by PSG things are looking impressive and Marseille is also now at the second spot as Lens is slipping and now having third spot after losing home game against Nice.
Even things are looking good for the home team and league leaders but as Toulouse are performing we can say this match is going to be interesting for fans and both teams because Mbappé is unavailable and after the world cup Neymar is also not performing good alone Messi can change things for the PSG it's a big question mark.

Previously, Lens still had a good record for being team to only get one defeat, but in the match yesterday, Lens actually got its second defeat of the season and this defeat was accepted by Lens at home. The defeat also made Lens drop to third place in the Ligue 1 standings for the time being, and it seems that over time it is possible that Monaco will also be able to overtake Lens.

Lens team lost yesterday after a big undefeated streak i think this is their second loss this season and they were beaten by nice team i didn't expect them to perform this poorly i think this is their worst game this season in term of performance but it was a deserved win for nice, they were on a roll recently 10 points from four games is empressive after the bad season they were having, after losing yesterday lense now are in the third position after marseille win gainst Nantes.
Lens defeat was unexpected even though they faced Nice which made a favour for PSG to letting it get 6 points gap between it and them. Marseille was favourite also and took the second place thanks to that defeat.It is early to say anything about chances since PSG are dropping points from time to time but not trying to reduce the gap is a big issue for them.
Overall this round was better than the previous one for the top teams, except for Lille, Lens, Lyon and Lorient..

Again and again they stumbled this week with defeats. They have done well before, but it's a shame they got another disastrous result and forced them down the rankings to be overtaken by Marseille who managed to win this week. And this result keeps them away from Paris Saint Germain now. It's a shame when something like this happens. Precisely their mistake that made them shifted back in the standings.

Yesterday match outcome for Psg is really good, it seems they have step up their games but their next match will convince me, PSG is very inconsistent when it comes to winning matches, they are not the team to give predict most time they fail to deliver, PSG has to do more now because their is a little gap so they have to cover it totally.
I still thought it would be a draw at first when I saw the line-up because before if one of Neymar, Mbappe and Messi didn't play they always couldn't do well. but this is a mistake luckily I didn't make a bet in this match because if I bet then a draw would obviously be a regret for me.On the other hand, PSG is currently away considering that the closest rival to the Lens brand is not doing well in the match.

If there is one team that can really have a chance to steal the title from PSG's hands I think that is Marseille.
Lens don't seem trustworthy for me when we talk about making it to the end. They have had a solid momentum but it is still doubtful if they can keep it until the end. Marseille are much more credible for it. Because they have a good squad and a solid form at the same time. While PSG are struggling this much it is like a golden opportunity for Marseille to put up a fierce fight against them. They will need to leave Lens behind first which shouldn't be very difficult actually. Because Lens made so many point losses recently.

Jesus yes, we need more people like you and a few others here to please finally try not to talk about bloody PSG alone!! One of the reasons I find it so hard to come here is that in other threads people are not just talking about the champions, but the teams they support. Here, majority of people are smashing posts about PSG.
Anyway yes Marseille? This was definitely one of the teams I would have gone for early in the season, it was for me between them and Monaco. Unfortunately I went for Monaco... or maybe fortunately as it's not yet too late to get some weird streak??
And Lens as I said yesterday, nice to see them in 2nd but they can't sustain football by crossing in this modern game. Especially if they aspire to CL, they will have to evolve.
I was already doubting Lens about their Nice match before it started. Because there was a match between them before a short time ago and it ended up with a draw. Maybe Lens played a home match this time but this wasn't guaranteeing anything anyway. They really struggled at finishing their attacks with a goal. Nice didn't let them get away with one point this time.
Marseille definitely deserve their position in the standings now. I really liked their game against Nantes as well. They deserve to be in this title competition.

Lens did not have the capacity to fight against PSG, this happens all the time, at the start of the season it was another team, I think Marseille or someone, and they fought hard to stay toe to toe with PSG as well, and eventually they lost and got lower as well. We gotta remember that we are nowhere near the point of actually saying anything proper about PSG, because they are not as great as they could be, but all the other teams are so bad that we are not seeing anyone getting that close. PSG's two best strikers are currently injured and leaving only Messi in the main line-up. I might be worried that Mbappe won't be in the first leg of the Champions League against Bayern Munich, but Neymar might be able to even though he wasn't in the line-up in the last match. I hope Messi can help his team win against Toulouse tomorrow even without Mbappe and Neymar.

if PSG manages to improve their defense then they will not have big problems in the games and consequently they will be able to be comfortable at the top, but if their defense problems are not solved or at least minimized then we will see PSG having a lot of pressure from the opponents because there will be games in which PSG will lose points, so far as PSG's attack can score a lot of goals so even if they concede 1 or 2 goals in a game they can win, but that's not something safe

Usually Lyon has always been a team that occupies the top 4 in the standings a few years ago, but now they have declined and it is difficult to compete at the top like they did a few years ago. Lens surprisingly lose from Nice that before this match begin Lens as favourite status because they are very strong at their home ground even during this season Lens were unbeatable for home matches and but apparently Nice can taking chances to scoring goals from corner kick which makes they can earn 3 points from this match besides that i can see Nice goalkeeper Schmeichel was performing well yesterday because he can able to blocked several attempts from Lens players and after this result Lens position were overtaked by Marseille because in the same time Marseille had important winning from tough team Nantes
Just because Lens managed to beat PSG doesn't mean Lens has to always win even if they are the favourites. Even since then, Lens has only been able to collect 5 points in its last 4 matches with only one win, two draws and one loss. I'm not at all surprised by Lens' current appearance because Lens hasn't really been able to maintain consistent form.Marseille is even better than the performance and results of the last 5 matches. They collected 13 points in 5 matches so Lens had to drop one rank because of it. This proves that Ligue 1 really has tough competition, but in the end PSG must be recognized as having high chance for the title.

Montpellier v PSG match ended in a great result for PSG. They played a really positive football and got efficiency from that by a 3-1 win. It was a nighmare for Mbappe on one hand. He missed penalty twice. It was a great chance for him after the penalty was repeated. But he hit the post this time and couldn't finish right after that against empty goal. He got injured a short time after and it looks like his condition is a little serious. If he is really out for a month then he will miss both matches in the Champions League.
By the way PSG's goals were really lovely. They played like Barcelona in this match. I mean the passes especially. Two assists were very similar to Barcelona's usual game plan. Fabian Ruiz's assist to Messi and his finishing were amazing both.

I'm also curious if PSG will lose some points from now on because Marseille are chasing hard it seems without losing points with not so important teams.

When Neymar and Mbappe on the field emphasizes the attack, it even worked with Montpellier, at one point PSG "crushed" them, but with a team of Bayern's level it may not work. PSG need more "hard workers", those who run all over the field, and Mbappe can create alone, especially with Messi around.

But something else we don't know for sure could change quickly in the next few matches in Ligue 1 and it's a must watch for teams at the top.
The 1-3 win over their closest rival made PSG stronger at the top of the standings, even though this season PSG has not performed optimally but there is no doubt that the title will be theirs at the end of the season, this season seems to be quite different from last season which was when at that time in the half of the season, PSG had left their opponents with a considerable difference in points, but this season we don't see it at all, although it is only a difference of 5 points but I think will be certainly be very difficult for Marseille to be able to overtake PSG and thwart PSG chances of championship at the end of the season.
