First the Strasbourg loss and now this happened. Of course there is no such thing as a team will continue winning forever. But at least they shouldn't have done it against Angers. It was the easiest fixture for them technically.

This is quite a disappointing result for Marseille because they had to draw at their home ground against a team that is actually far below them. They actually got the momentum when Angers received a red card, but not long after that they also had to play with 10 men. I think they can still win, because there is no reason why they can't win because on paper they are much better.
But that's how football works, no matter which team, no matter what the difference in strength, when a team has to draw then that's what will happen. It's quite unfortunate that Marseille couldn't secure full points this week.

So for me it was already very clear that I shouldn't bet on Marseille to win. That's why I didn't bet on that game and I see that I made a good decision.

On paper, Monaco are the favorites to win the game, but they are not huge favorites. Marseille got me surprised actually as i literally expected more of them and so that performance for me was way below expectations. They had an opponent i wouldn't see as an equal to them considering their form and strength this season and the depth of their squad this season as well as their performance this season, even if it was a victory with a slim edge probably by a goal wouldn't have been seen any less but a draw even if it doesn't happen o be goalless isn't one we should see as really encouraging and to think that they did played so well in that game and their opponent wasn't dominant as they were in that game, I'm believing they will be doing better they have still got some more time before the season goes far.

I've noticed this too about big clubs being unable to shine outside of their domestic leagues and I feel maybe they get so comfortable building themselves to be able to beat the opponents in their league that they forget that there are other competitions they need to feature in. Well it's always been like that for PSG; they rarely make it to semi's and we've not gotten there yet but their performance is already lagging.

This is not applicable to teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich of last season, the teams I mentioned has been doing very great both in the domestic league and the champions league competition but teams like PSG and Arsenal has been struggling to do very well in the champions league but they are better in the domestic league where they have had good results. PSG has dominated the Ligue1 for a long time but they have been so unlucky in the champions League competition because they are yet to win it for a long time even when they had good number of players in the team.

This season, PSG will find it difficult to get to the quarter finals following the squad in the team, they were defeated by Arsenal in their last champions league competition game this shows that the team is only show of winning the domestic league this season but for the champions league competition i doubt if they csn get to the semis.

Ligue 1 is not as competitive as EPL. I think everyone knows that. Being the best in Ligue 1 will not be enough if you want to compete in European competitions. And I think PSG knows that because they prioritize UCL over Ligue 1. Honestly, PSG has improved from season to season. They rotate players to find the best composition. If they only prioritize Ligue 1 I don't think they need to spend a lot of money to buy some new players.
