This will be a fairly easy match for PSG to win, especially since they are playing in front of their own supporters, this is a good motivation for PSG to achieve good results at the end of the match. PSG is still very strong, even though Mbappe has left, they still dominate League 1. This will be a tough challenge for Montpellier after previously getting a draw at home, yes it's true Montpellier could surprise us, but I'm realistic, if PSG is able to beat Montpellier, they won't waste playing at home, what, a draw is not the goal, the most important thing is 3 points, my prediction is 3-1 for PSG's victory.
The defending Champion might have a smooth ride in this game. Montpellier struggled to win their last game with Strasbourg and they were just fortunate to get an equalizer through a penalty. Montpellier who was playing at home didn't display a good performance before the home fans. PSG is disappointing those who thought the performance of the club would reduce because of the departure of Kylian Mbappe. Le Havre suffered terribly at the hands of PSG when they met last week. They were demolished by 4-1, so there is a high possibility the PSG will have a convincing win over Montpellier. They are currently trailing Marseille who is topping the league with just one goal difference.
Nobody can deny that PSG will have easy time beating Montpellier, it doesn't even look close and it should be an easy win for them without a doubt. I am not saying that it is going to be easy or hard, I am just saying that it is going to be not that easy at all.
There is no doubt that PSG is still a very strong team this season and while some people are expecting them to be a lot worse because of Mbappe, first game showed that the yare still the strongest team in this league, on top of that Montpellier is one of the weaker teams in the league, like if it was Monaco or something then we could have said that it would be a closer game or Marseille would have been a good example for that, however when it's Montpellier we can say that it is not even remotely close to each other.
Of course anything could happen and the football gods sometimes could be not on your side and you could get unlucky, PSG had one of those games against Dortmund last year, they missed so many chances that could have gone in, and because of that unlucky situation they couldn't go to the finals. In the end, it was for the best because seeing Mbappe trying to win against the team he is just about to go to seemed unfair a bit.
