Actually, I think they did not expect such a match against Rennes. They came out a little more relaxed and missed a lot of opportunities. I can say that stressful days are starting for Paris SG. There are only 3 points between them and Lens in second place and Lens has been playing very well in the last matches.

Their top players are not able to perform like they were doing before break which is surely matter of concern, but hopefully they could be able to have positive impact on teams performance in coming weeks because this is important for them before start of the Champions League which is big game and this all needs better mentality and strong performance against team like Bayern Munich which is also one of the best in business.

Rennes created so many goal opportunities in this game. PSG had serious weaknesses in defense honestly. Donnarumma was still impressive by his important saves. But it was obvious that they were going to concede a goal at some point. Mbappe wasted a big chance to equalize the score. Bernat was another player who got very close to the goal. But Mandanda saved that great shot in the same way. Messi and Neymar should have been more in the game honestly. In addition to that Mbappe should have been in the starting eleven.

Then I don't think they would have lost any points. Now Lens and Marseille have got quite close to PSG in the standings. It is only 3 points with Lens now. PSG had better focus on their Ligue 1 games more than before as of now.

winning with a score of 7 - 1 is a result that AS Monaco deserved, they played with very crazy domination there. a unique fact that people might miss is "they got 7 goals from 8 shots on goal", meaning that they really used the opportunities they got in this match very well.

Rennes played more defensively than PSG, who played attacking from the first half.
PSG dominated attack and they controlled a good percentage of possession but failed to score in their attempts.
PSG coach (Christophe Galtier) blamed the trio and other players in that match for failing to win the match against Rennes. He thinks all the players who were previously involved in the World Cup are still affected by the World Cup euphoria which causes them to lose their best playing rhythm.

I don't know what the problem is, but I think Christophe Galtier still has the impression that his current attackers are still affected by the World Cup moment. But in my opinion his comments really don't make sense because in the previous match PSG managed to win the match well even with the same players.

donnarumma must be thinking hard what is going on with this team LOL. there were a lot of beautiful saves made by Donnarumma and I saw PSG looking very trivial with Rennes at the start of the match. hopefully with this defeat, PSG will learn more and more to play stably and not underestimate other teams even though the team is a weak team.

PSG deserves it. Rennes played better compared with PSG. Lens is slowly but surely going up to surpass PSG. PSG was getting two loses from last three matches which is very disappointed to see that caused by PSG has so many world class players. We do know that if the team like rennes didn't have popular name on it but it was able to defeat PSG with small score. A bit surprised to see that if PSG was losing in the match against rennes. I hope that PSG will be losing two matches in a row. That will make lens will able to surpass PSG.
I hope that lens will be winning the title for this season. It's been very long since PSG was always dominating the competition.

Sometimes having world-class players doesn't necessarily make winning easy and that's what PSG is feeling right now. Indeed, I am also tired of seeing PSG's dominance in Ligue 1, hoping that there will be a new champion later, whether it's Lens or another team. Yeah, that's what im thinking about but people keep talked that those trio owned by PSG will make the team to win easily in any competition while we do know that those trio were even unable to win the champion league. I expect PSG will not get champion league for this season. I consider reimms and motpellier as easy team to be beaten by PSG.
Those trio may be very useful against the weak teams in the upcoming match.
