Marseille are definitely my favourite for the second position in the standings. For now Lens have the position but I don't expect them to be consistent until the end of the season. Marseille should be able to take advantage of having a better squad quality than them. They just had a bad time period for some weeks but things are better now. The recent two wins should give them a boost.

Maybe there is still no team that is able to fight with PSG for the title until the end. But at least there is a nice competition for the rest of the top positions.

Marseille impressed with their performance on the last two match weeks of the league. While they were maintaining a really poor form they had to face two challenging opponents like Lyon and Monaco. But these matches were also like opportunities for Marseille to stand up and get into the fight again. After playing really tough matches they really made it in both matches. Especially the Monaco match was very difficult for them as they had to make a comeback from a 2-1 disadvantage. But this kind of big wins must help them recover faster.

We have a long break ahead of us now. Marseille finished the Champions League group stage at the last place despite having one last chance to get away from there. Now they will focus on the Ligue 1 completely so I expect them to fight with whatever they have got.

Both of these teams have their own advantages and disadvantages and this will be very interesting to look forward to. PSG will be favorites at home for the first leg, and Bayern Munich will also be favorites for the second leg which will be played at home as well. The two of them will both be favorites and this is what is match that will be difficult for people to predict.

The statistics in the group stages will be meaningless because in the last 16 both teams are under different pressure. I never thought Bayern Munich would be happy to meet PSG and underestimate their opponent, the same thing to PSG when the opponent was Bayern Munich.

I think this season might be Paris Saint-Germain opportunity to lift the UEFA Champions league. My reason for that is that apart from teams like Napoli and Manchester United, I don't think there is any club that has the standard of PSG. The beauty of this team is that Messi, Neymar and Mbappe seems to have understood themselves and are working together for the success of the club. They seems to have reduced their quest for personal glory for the success of the club.

The fact from the player's point of view is clear when they say big names from an individual point of view they are very good but sometimes even with such conditions they always find it difficult because they can't play freely.
