Mess will stay at barcelona. Barcelona was going to the europa league and it has been losing a lot of potential income. This club can't even pay its former of coach Quique Setien. Bringing back messi to the camp nou was just another impossible thing for barcelona. I don't even know why people are always still thinking about that non sense thing while barcelona is not even having enough financial to make it happen. it can't even pay some of its players.
This club may go bankrupt as soon as possible. It's started from losing some income from champion league must force barcelona to get money from another ways. Remember that barcelona has been taking some financial clevers.
It may possible for barcelona to be sold for billionaire. Messi may love his old club but he must not be naive if he was also playing football for money. He needs money for his family.
I am sure Lionel Messi would be pleased he left Barcelona because from all indications Paris Saint-Germain F.C. has a bigger prospect than Barca. People have failed to understand that it was the financial problems of Barcelona they made them release Messi and the club is still going through some financial challenges. It is also important to note that Messi is getting old and his performance would continue to depreciate, hence he might not have that capacity to revive Barcelona. Currently, Messi might even be thinking of retiring from active football. I think Barca has enough players that can take them to any level of success if they are rightly managed.

I don't think Messi is happy to leave Barcelona. Barcelona club made Messi the best in the world. He really loves this club. But the former president of Barcelona thinks Messi is old, and he does not want to keep Messi in Barcelona. If Messi was in Barcelona, maybe their performance would not be so weak. It was a wrong decision by the Barcelona management to release Messi. And they have yet to find a worthy replacement for Messi.

Pleased you said ? There's no way on earth I'll support that, Barcelona made everything easy for Lionel Messi especially winning those Ballon d'or 's especially the year 2010 which was never his. As far as I can tell, he was sad leaving Barcelona, do you think if not for the financial woes, Lionel Messi would leave Barcelona real quick ?

Even at 40 Lionel Messi will still play good and entertaining football, his first touch will forever be fantastic for every eye that sees that for the very first time. Heading back to Barcelona will make sense but, they can't pay him all of that big bucks when they haven't cleared up completely other players that are being held huge sum's.

I'd love to see a Lewandoski-Messi combination, you'll see Lewandoski scoring so much goals. Even at 40, Messi will still be a Boss at Spanish League, he is renowned for his complete destruction of those defending player's with his fast feet and pace.

Do you think Messi has no resentment towards Barcelona? I think he may not want to go. I don't think the Mbappe or Neymar situation in Paris will affect Messi. What they need to think about is if Messi leaves, can they win the champions league? PSG still has no big success. This great achievement is to win the champions league. Messi can provide that. They shouldn't let gossip about Messi. There are always rumors about Mbappe anyway and it hurts the team. I think there will be huge reductions in salary. But I don't think he will return to Barcelona.

Exactly what you said happened and Lens did manage to get 3 points in that game at home. The victory has at least become an asset for Lens to remain in a good position in the temporary standings, although not better than PSG, because it is likely that PSG will also win against Troyes. But Lens will really benefit if Lorient don't win against Nice, although I'm not sure that Lorient will lose at home.
[/quote]
Lens has a good performance and results this season and barely letting PSG run alone in the first place. They only lost 1 match and they are 2 points away from PSG which will make the gap 5 points again since they are way better than Troyes and they doing pretty good for the moment.
Lorient - Nice game is a hard game with a slight home advantage for Lorient. Lille - Lyon is the other interesting game, while Lille is better, Lyon seems favourite according to bookies.

Bringing Mbappe to Real Madrid is a big waste of funds
They should get another right wing player since Hazard has been a flop for sometime
Why should they even consider hijacking such. It's either Messi and Neymar leaves so he can play whatever he wants, but he will never win the Champions League there

Eden Hazard was a great player while he was playing for Chelsea. He was like the most important player of the team. Signing for Real Madrid was a really huge mistake for him indeed. Real Madrid spent €115m to sign him and it was a huge waste of money. Real Madrid are going on with Vinicius Jr on the left wing and Valverde on the right one.

Maybe Real Madrid would like to replace Valverde with another right winger. Because I don't think that he is good enough for that position. Mbappe has been playing as a striker at PSG for a long time. But he is able to play as a winger as well. Maybe Real Madrid would have him on the right wing and Benzema in the center for some time in case they sign Mbappe in the summer. But this is just a theory so let's see.

In my opinion, it would be better for Real Madrid not to bring Mbappe into the squad. As a player, he has a very large sense of self-importance, which makes him a very aggressive player. In addition, I am afraid that he will destroy the chemistry between the Real Madrid squad as a whole. It would be better for Real Madrid if they did not sign him and waited for a few more years to include Haaland in the team. On the whole, that is going to be a much better deal for Real Madrid in the long run. I

n addition to that, I always have one thing to say. A hardworking player is always perceived to be more effective than a talented player who is lazy. Haaland and Mbappe both have a lot of talent, but Haaland is a much more hard-working player than Mbappe in my opinion. It seems to me that Mbappe might be a failure just like Hazard was at Real Madrid for some reason.
Well for me it is clear that Mbappé is not going to go to Real Madrid, Real Madrid could fight well for a player like Haaland, but comparing Mbappé with the Belgian Hazard no, because I think that Hazard is much more professional than Mbappé himself, no I would see Hazard making a blacklist of the players he doesn't want and have them fired, I don't see a Hazard doing something like that, what Mbappé did was something other than childish and that he closed the doors himself, honestly I don't like it I would like to work on the pitch with a player like Mbappé, who has a lot of egocentricity, while a player like Haaland who has much more technique, is more humble, does much more than him.

I'm not comparing Ligue 1 to the Champions League. At the point you quoted, I hope PSG can show their best performance in the Champions League as shown in Ligue 1. PSG have long wanted the UCL trophy, they can achieve it if they always appear consistent against tough teams like Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
In Ligue 1 there are not many strong teams in every season that PSG have to face, so PSG looks a little easier to lead the Ligue 1 championship this season. For the Champions League it is a slightly different matter because Benfica who are also in the same group with PSG have the same number of points after five games in the group. And both have also qualified for the last 16 at this time, and for the last match in the Champions League group stage PSG and Benfica also have the potential to win because they both face weak teams this season, namely Juventus and Maccabi Haifa.

Well I really can't think that there can be anything but an analogy, for me PSG in the French League are kings, because there is no team that can give PSG a fight, at first I believed a lot in Lille, I also leaned to the last for Marseille, but they have not achieved their objectives, I see that they do not have enough to be able to stop them so that they can beat them, I do not know if it is because of the presence of many stars and perhaps that undermines the conditions of the teams there present, however I could say that PSG could happen to Barcelona in the UCL if they don't show their true football, because Bayern is already doing it, Real Madrid too.

On the other hand I also read that Messi is not really interested in extending his contract here so indeed this could be a dramatic reversal but of course with the power of money everything might change.
His performance this season is much better than his first season, but this doesn't help anything because it seems that this goat is not really interested in a new contract, although I think this is a good move for him if he continues to stay in Ligue 1.

I also think both Messi and PSG will benefit from Messi being in Ligue 1. Because PSG's performance this season is more stable and strong than last season. If Messi leaves the team, PSG's performance will become unstable again. So PSG will probably try their best to keep Messi in the team. Rumor has it that Messi is not interested in renewing his contract. However, I have yet to see any credible news regarding which team Messi will join if he leaves PSG. But personally I think Messi will decide to stay at PSG.
It will have to wait a little longer but as for profit issues for both parties I agree with what you are saying.
Until now there has been no further news apart from several media reports that Messi rejected PSG's new offer.
We will have to wait whether Messi will let go of Ideal conditions at PSG now or if he will leave with something that is not certain because if he refuses to extend and return to Barcelona (for example) I am actually still very optimistic about their financial condition.
If Messi goes to Barcelona, I think he would do it because of the great friendship he has with Xavi, and that would be an achievement for Xavi so that they don't remove him from that position, but I hope that Messi doesn't return, where I live there is a said that it says: "Goat that is returned, he sniffles" and I think that Messi has already closed a cycle, it is not good to open it, because if I remember correctly, it turned out very badly, in fact he himself said that he lowered his salary with such of not leaving, and this did not give anything to the directors of Barcelona, so I think that Bacelona does not need so much clemency for Messi to make them shine again, although a duo between Lewa and Messi would be great, but it would be time to play in the Europe League.

Ligue 1 'no weak league' says Aaron Ramsey as ex-Arsenal man shines in France with Nice

Quote
A warm climate, charming forests, the picturesque Plage Beau Rivage, and enough Irish bars to pour a pint of Guinness for the entire planet, all on your doorstep, Nice is often seen as a place where you can just get away from it all.

However, Aaron Ramsey’s summer move to the Ligue 1 giants is certainly no relaxing pre-retirement getaway. After a troubling three years at Juventus and a loan spell at Rangers that concluded with him missing the crucial penalty in the Europa League final, the former Arsenal midfielder moved to the ambitious French side in the summer transfer window.

Most likely, Messi will leave PSG after his contract expires in 2023. even if there is encouragement from his team-mate, Neymar, to extend his contract with PSG.

some of the points you said, are the reasons he is reluctant to continue his contract with PSG. especially the little boss "Mbappe" who has privileges over other players. when it comes to salary, I'm sure Messi doesn't care too much about it, although it's fantastic. he, had everything. however, what he wants is the comfort of playing with the team and winning as many trophies as possible at the end of his career.

Neymar has a new long-term contract with PSG, as well as Mbappe.
but the loss of Messi could be a problem for PSG, not in Ligue 1, after all they are too strong in the francis league. but for the Champions League, it is clearly a problem for Galtier's team. and because of that, SPG are looking for options to replace Messi later.
I doubt that Messi would care about the situation with Mbappe, but he left because of financial troubles in Barcelona. Now that he is getting older, I am pretty sure that they could just hire him back and pay him a competitive salary.

Dude will not get his old 50-70 million rage salaries anymore, that’s not going to be possible, it would be like 20-30 million most probably and that’s fine because of jersey sales you would have, so Barcelona could afford him now. If they agree on a 25 million deal for example, for 3 years, he could definitely play that long and it wouldn't be too expensive for Barcelona and then Messi could retire where he started.

I believe that the hosts are the clear favorite in today's match between Lens and Toulouse. Lens is currently only behind PSG in the standings and so far they are flawless at home matches, having won all 6 matches. In turn, the balance of Toulouse away matches is 1 victory, 1 draw and 3 defeats. I believe that today they will not improve this achievement and Lens will take another 3 points for the victory.

Lyon - Lille seems to be the most attracting match on this week as it is likely to be very competitive between these two close teams in strength.

Lille are in a better condition than Lyon in the standings now. They owe this to their recent form actually. Because they won 4 of their last 5 league matches and lost to only Lorient. I don't see anything weird in this loss also because it was an away match and we all know how strong Lorient are at the moment. Lille managed to beat Monaco 4-3 after an epic match. Lyon were having a bad form for a long time until the Montpellier match. They finally got a win there. Despite their big effort they found the winning goal in the last minutes though.

There is an interesting statistics about this matchup despite Lyon's being shown as the favourite. Lyon couldn't defeat Lille in their home matches since 2014. This is a really serious record for Lille and they won the last time they met too. I'm thinking about placing a bet on double chance on Lille @1.80.

There are probably only two teams who are able to afford Mbapp's huge money demands right now, which are Real Madrid and Manchester City.
There were a few other teams, but none of them really wanted to activate that high clause. It doesn't make sense to me to bring Mbappe into a team with such a big contract value, it's crazy. PSG won't be able to sell Mbappe for such a high value in the next 2-3 seasons, but maybe Mbappe can decide his own future when his contract expires in the next few years.

It will be interesting to see what these two players have in store for the future.
Messi will probably really want to retire at Barcelona, so I think he will work on his contract to Barcelona next season. Mbappe will stay at PSG although it is always possible to see him wearing the jersey of other teams including Premier League teams.

The first game of the 13th round will be played today between lens and toulouse, lens team is in the second position with five points away from psg, they are on a positive streak, they won eight game from the last twelve they played and only lost one, they have the second best defense and a decent attack it seems that this will be another good year for them, i think they can get one of the top four spots especially if they defeat toulouse  today even thought it won't be easy but i expect them to win today.
The match entered the first 15 minutes and there were no surprises in the early minutes of the match. Toulouse who appeared as the visitors did not show that they would be so easily defeated. There have been no chances created from both teams, both teams are still looking for their game and also looking for where to take advantage of the opponent's defense. In fact, Toulouse are more daring to hold the ball so far, it's not so significant but it's quite visible. Lens must be able to win to keep their points distance from Paris Saint Germain.
Toulouse seem to want to play the ball more so far because they are quite aware that if they keep up with Lens' fast play it will be a bit more difficult considering that we know Lens' attacking quality up to week 13 was pretty good.
In 20 minutes now by capitalizing on Toulouse's mistakes and a fairly quick counter-attack there have been several chances that Lens managed to get that were quite threatening.

PSG has tied Mbappe to a super luxurious salary and a very high buy out clause, it is impossible for a club to be able to redeem Mbappe buy out clause and also pay his very high salary. PSG saw prospects in Mbappe and extended his contract at least until 2025, PSG has a long term project by spending a lot of money to extend Mbappe contract. Even though Messi and Neymar are already in the squad, only Mbappe is prioritized for their long term project.
Now that Mbappe is PSG biggest asset, he is still very young, he is expected to become a club icon because of his prowess in front of goal. Although PSG still have other stars like Neymar or Messi, for now (besides Haaland) it is very difficult to find a replacement for Mbappe who has the same quality as Mbappe. It's only natural that PSG give Mbappe the luxury because he is still very young and PSG still need him to achieve the goal that has never been won, namely the UCL trophy.
PSG not have to worried about Mbappe's future because he has contract until 2025 and seems impossible have any team want to pay most expensive transfer values if want to sign in Mbappe. Just have bad rumor with PSG still not reach agreement with Lionel Messi were his contract over at June 2023 and if not reach agreement at January transfer, Messi will be free transfer player.
Messi have announced about he not talk about his contract extended or not with PSG until World Cup in Qatar and seems have chance for PSG if give excited offering for Lionel Messi keep staying or another team will give more higher salary and contract duration for Lionel Messi than with PSG.

PSG has somewhat ruined Mbappe's attitude with money that's for sure. He has been offered a shit ton of money and that is exactly why he chose PSG over Real Madrid.
There are probably only two teams who are able to afford Mbapp's huge money demands right now, which are Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Nevertheless, the sad thing is that Messi may not renew his contract with Barcelona, and this is both a good thing and a bad thing at the same time.
It is good for me because I would like to see him play in the English Premier League and it is bad for PSG, of course.
It will be interesting to see what these two players have in store for the future.

PSG is very easy to beat their opponents, especially in Ligue 1 if Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are well connected. The same situation must be applied to Galtier in the Champions League, team cohesiveness and supported by the best performances can take PSG to go further in the Champions League.

man, you cannot compare Ligue 1 and Champions league, in any way

it is easy to dominate in Ligue 1, first because it is season long, so each mistake can be outdone later on, and quality is far lower than CL, and in Champions league one game can decide everything, they will pass group stage, but they lack quality and mental strength to reach final stages against tough competitors, like Real, City or Bayern
Ligue 1 and Champions League are 2 different competitions I agree with that. The pressure in the Champions League will be heavier than in Ligue 1. A tough opponent, mentally strong, a game that can surprise at any time is a factor where they have to be better prepared in this Champions League. It's true what you said, just one match will determine their fate in the future. There is no time to say they will improve here, if they fail in one game then there is only one chance for them to change everything. And it will not be easy for them to do because once again the club that competes in the Champions League is a very strong club.

Maybe Marseille are far away from the leader and they won't be able to stay in the title fight most probably. It is already a gap like nine points with PSG in the end.

On the other hand, this doesn't mean of course that they can't even qualify for the Champions League. Big teams have this kind of hard times in some part of a season. Marseille have had this before the first half of the season. As long as they start pulling themselves together soon there is no problem. They still have a long season ahead of them to rise in the standings once again. I still see them as the biggest contender for the second position honestly. Teams like Lorient and Lens wouldn't maintain a good form forever. In addition to that I think Marseille are generally more reliable than the other big teams of the league (except PSG of course  Grin).
The difference of 9 points is not a small number for Marseille to catch Paris Saint Germain. Karen the potential to lose points for Paris Saint Germain is very slim considering the lack of competition that exists in Ligue 1. Which of the few clubs currently in good form could hold off against Paris Saint Germain? I doubt anyone can answer my question. The possibility is still there, but if we were a little more realistic we would say it's very difficult to do so.

I think Monaco in particular has been disappointing in the competition so far. PSG are already 5 points ahead, but that will only increase as the season progresses. I think everyone in the PSG squad will also participate in the World Cup. Other teams have far fewer players who are allowed to participate, so somewhere as a team you also have more moments of rest during that period. The risk of injury is otherwise considerable. I especially did not expect Lorient in 3rd place, but they are there for a reason. I also don't know how Lyon should handle the departure/resignation of Peter Bosz. A few years ago, this team was indispensable in the Champions League. But then PSG came onto the scene.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
@Furious 7, It seems to me that Messi is not interested in having such a small competition. His competitive nature makes him a very effective player. It does not matter how old he is, he is still a competitive person, even if he is already almost 34 years old.

You know, he barely has any competitions at PSG. In addition, things have gotten very toxic at PSG, especially since Mbappe has been given so much power by the club. I don't think he liked that at all. The fact that he doesn't want to stay at PSG makes perfect sense if that is the case.

In spite of this, as you said, money has the power to change everything. In addition, I would like to point out that Neymar is one of his most reliable close friends. Probably he might tell Messi to stay at PSG as well. I think at this age PSG is appropriate for Messi.
btw only information Messi is now 35 years old.
In terms of competitiveness, what you say is true, but from a financial point of view, it is clear that PSG is one of the most abundant clubs, so at least this can make him quite happy when it comes to money.
As for the current interest, which big club will take him with pleasure. At least there needs to be some salary reductions if he still wants to change clubs.

right now he is still quite comfortable and looks still mute about what will happen to him in the future.

Messi is aged and everyone knows that; btw, if it were the time he was still dominant in FCB,and had stronger bones, yunno he'd make a psychedelic performance as he always do. I don't think they're Really gonna reduce his stipends as he has built a legacy already; he plays in the shadows of his former self and he's paid for that. His performances now ain't really bad though .
Now when you talk about his FUTURE, which are you referring to? Does Leo have a longer time to play? -- long enough as you think to prolly make a future outta it? Hehe... The man is simply waiting for retirement dude and that'll be his last club AFAIK.

Toulouse are not a stable team of late, they always get into trouble when they play. And it's fair to say that Lens are the favorites in this game, they have a positive trend better than Toulouse of course. But still they had to be wary of Toulouse and not underestimate their guest. Because if they underestimate it is not impossible they will lose points. They also need to be able to win to get their points from Paris Saint Germain.
Agreed about Toulouse performance they are improving but still in away matches they are not good enough to hold team like Lens which is having perfect results in home matches and currently staying at second spot with this all most chances we will have no unusual thing going to happen in this match and Lens will be ending victorious and just two points behind leaders PSG which is good and Lorient and PSG are also doing good which mean we will have no change at the top of the league table.

Marseille and Monaco are also looking for good results and most chances they could be also won their respective matches which will give them full three points, but sadly they will be not able to have improvement in rank as right now things are tight for change in league table and will take good time.

I don't know if there would be another team on the line to sign Messi next summer. I would say Barcelona maybe but I'm not sure about it. Actually Laporta seemed willing to sign Messi back some time ago but things might have changed. Because Xavi is trying to revolutionize the team and I don't know if there is a place for Messi in the starting eleven from now on.

Mbappe's place is much more difficult to be filled indeed. But as this trio is performing very well all together, it wouldn't be easy to find the right replacements for Messi and Neymar also. There are strong alternatives of course but those ones are already playing for top teams in Europe. PSG just need to try their best to keep all the players of this trio in the team at least for one more season if they fail in winning the Champions League title in this season.
Most chances Barcelona will be not next in line for signing again Lionel Messi because few days back we have statement from Xavi that he is feeling Messi is doing good job with his current club, and he needs to concentrate of this all instead of thinking to be back in Barcelona which is surely a message for all those are feeling he is going to be back into his old club in next summer transfer window.

Currently, PSG is difficult club with mess up between Mbappé and other star players like Neymar and Messi, so things are looking not good but most chances now as management doing things for improvement we will have positive changes and Mbappé can leave this club which will be good for all parties because this change could be positive for PSG and their chances to improve performance with Mbappé childish behavior which is creating problems.

After having to accept 3 consecutive defeats and making their position shifted, this week Marseille will travel to Strasbourg headquarters. They are so worried because they failed in 3 matches, this match should be the start for them to bounce back and get back to winning. Strasbourg is not a tough opponent because they are also experiencing a negative trend in the League with only one victory. I think this will be the start of Marseille's revival.
