I think PSG will have a disaster and as is known, Le Havre had made it difficult for them before PSG beat them with a score of 1-4. This is the first win for PSG and also the first away game they have won this season. In fact, they played quite well but the adjustment after Mbappe left was very clear here.

Luckily Luis Enrique moved quickly to change the composition of his players and the results were seen at the end of the second half when Dembele and Barcola came on the ball flowed more. Don't forget the two players also scored their first goals in this victory and I think PSG don't need to worry about what happens next as long as they have players who can be relied on in the midst of difficulties. For now, PSG are at the top of the Ligue 1 standings.

In the first match of Ligue 1, PSG secured a huge victory by a margin of 4-1. However, PSG's opponents were relatively weak. The Le Havre team was weak. Even so, a 4-1 win is certainly commendable. PSG players have performed well. And from this it can be assumed that the PSG team is moving in the right direction with the help of Luis Enrique.

PSG had 76% ball possession in this match and dominated the match. PSG's defenders did not allow Le Havre's players to create any strong attacking opportunities. Le Havre players managed to make only 5 shots in the entire match. Ramos, Asensio, Vitibha and Lee Kang, Dembele and Barcola all performed very well.

Regarding PSG and their player Gonçalo Ramos, it seems there is some bad news about the station of this 23-year-old player. In the game against Le Havre, Ramos got injured hard and he couldn't continue the game, he left the field in the first half. But it seems Ramos is going to be out for a longer time.
He left Benfica to PSG for 90 million euros.
Ramos was the alternative player of PSG to fill the place of Mbappe in this team and now he is going to be up for three months.

Psg is still very strong in Ligue 1 because in their first match of the season they visited the Oceane stadium but they still managed to get 3 points where the match ended with a score of 1-4. With the depth of the squad filled with quality players, of course we can judge that Luis Enrique's squad will again succeed in achieving maximum results in every match because their game is still quite impressive even though they no longer have Mbappe in their team.
The Ligue1 competition will still be dominated by PSG even without players like Mbappe because in Ligue1 there is no heavier pressure from rival teams so that PSG is still the leading team this season. And from one example of a match that has been played by PSG, it is also clear that PSG still has more strength in Ligue1, but I don't know how strong PSG is when playing in the UCL this season because the competition really relies on player cooperation besides having to be filled with quality players in a team.
I have no doubt that, even though they no longer have Mbappe, the composition of the players they have is still the best in Ligue 1, it depends on how the coach can utilize what he has in the squad. The results of this match prove that they will still be very difficult to stop in Ligue 1. This is the first season where they no longer have a star player like Mbappe, but the overall quality of the team is still good. Luis Enrique is an experienced coach, so I don't think it will be difficult for him to make Paris Saint Germain dominate. But this is if we talk about them in Ligue 1, it will be a different story when we talk about them in the Champions League, but let's see what they can do in the Champions League later.

PSG 2 - 1 Le Havre

This was a game that was played at PSG's home ground, at the Stade Océane. It was PSG's first game of the season in Ligue 1 and they didn't have Mbappe. Expectations were high because I wanted to see how PSG would play without Mbappe. When I saw the formation that the PSG coach chose to start the game:

I was wondering why the PSG coach chose to put Ibrahim Mbaye, who is 16 years old, on the starting line-up instead of João Neves. I also wondered why Ousmane Dembélé didn't start playing at the beginning of the game. It's a question that only the PSG coach knows the answer to. The fact is that PSG's performance in that first game was very good even though some good players didn't come on the pitch at the beginning of the game. PSG's next game will be against another weak team, so I see PSG also managing to win the next game

My predictions for the remaining games of this round:

Stade Brestois 29 - Olympique Marseille (Olympique Marseille will win)

Stade Reims - LOSC Lille (LOSC Lille will win)

AS Monaco FC - AS Saint-Etienne (AS Monaco FC will win)

AJ Auxerre - OGC Nice ( I think AJ Auxerre has a chance of winning or drawing)

FC Toulouse - FC Nantes (FC Toulouse will win)

Montpellier HSC - RC Strasbourg Alsace (Montpellier will win)

Angers SCO - RC Lens ( Lens will win)

Stade Rennais FC - Olympique Lyonnais ( Olympique Lyonnais will win)

A good game from PSG and this time again they won the game in the French while they didn't have Mbappe in this team to help them. While some people were expecting to see PSG lose some games and lose some points because of not having their superstar player, they had a good performance and they won the game against Le Havre with a 4-1 result which can show Enrique was successful in making the team to fill the place of Mbappe in PSG.
However, Le Havre was not a strong team, and winning this match was not something big for Enrique and his players.

Don't forget this, guys. This match was 1-1 until the 84th minute. If Le Havre hadn't fallen apart in the last minutes, they could have tied it. Not every team is as weak as Le Havre. In fact, PSG should be more effective in such matches and dominate the game early. They should concede fewer goals. They scored 3 more goals after the 84th minute and won the match 4-1. So I congratulate them. Still, Enrique will identify their mistakes in this match and make them play accordingly in their next matches.

The gap in team strength is still very visible in Ligue 1, with PSG still the favorite team to win even without Mbappe. There is no excessive worry, nor is there any significant pressure, the depth of the squad owned by Luis Enrique is more than enough to continue to dominate Ligue 1. Meanwhile, PSG journey in the Champions League this season is still a big question mark, because with Mbappe alone they are quite difficult, especially after the mega star left. Many assume that PSG will experience a decline in the Champions League, while at the domestic level they will still be fine.

In the opening match, PSG reaffirmed their identity as the rulers at the domestic level, they easily slaughtered Le Havre with a score of 4-1, amazingly the 4 goals were scored by 4 different players. Departing from this fact, it seems that Luis Enrique has changed his strategy, which encourages each of his players to score goals. This means that PSG wants to prove that their goal productivity does not depend on just one player, anyone can score goals, that's what I think is good. If this performance can be maintained, there is a possibility that PSG will be able to overcome the tight competition in the Champions League, at least they can reach the semifinals like last season.

Without Mbappe in the current squad in fact PSG can still achieve a big victory over Le Havre, but even so, PSG actually had difficulty scoring a goal after Le Havre managed to equalize the score 1-1 in the 48th minute, if you look at it PSG attack line is actually very frustrated because they keep failing to score goals even though in the end PSG was able to win big over Le Havre, but this doesn't prove that PSG attack line is currently in good condition after Mbappe left, this season maybe in Ligue 1 PSG will still are strong candidates for the championship, but we cannot deny that it is likely that they will not have an easy journey this season like as last seasons, apart from that, I think perhaps their goal productivity this season will decrease drastically compared to last season.

Currently PSG main target is of course to win the Champions League trophy, but when if they face Le Havre very difficult for PSG to win, so it is difficult to say if they will be ready to compete in the Champions League this season, especially now that they have lost their main striker (Ramos) again who was injured in that match, so makes Enrique this season is running out of options to sharpen their attack line except recruiting new players in the striker position in the transfer market this time.

A pretty painful defeat for Brest as the home club lost badly to Marseille with a score of 1:5 in the first half they were already 3 goals behind as a club that performed impressively last season it is very unfortunate that their performance has declined.
Marseille recruited many players in the transfer market this season from this match it can be seen that Marseille has shown good improvement Mason Greenwood in his debut created 2 goals in this match.

For the Lille vs Reims match I have predicted Lille will win this match because their performance in the Champions League qualifiers is quite good and they qualified for the play-off round so I think their performance in league 1 also almost the same.

Maybe this is still in context and honestly I am happy to see Mbappe win his first European title elsewhere. Smiley

What would have happened if Mbappe had stayed at PSG? Of course it is impossible for him to win a European title and with this Supercup title, one of many to come will be created. We can see from the hundreds of matches with PSG that he has never gotten what he has wanted for a long time and once he played for another club in his first match he immediately got his dream.

The right decision from Mbappe by joining the Spanish giants and what would have happened if he had stayed at PSG for years and only chased the money, maybe he would have grown forever as a player with a large income and minimal European level trophies.
Paris Saint Germain was only superior in the Domestic League, when they went to Europe, they could not make much to win a title. In the Champions League they are almost every season there, but there is no achievement they can get. Their best note while in the Champions League is to become runner up in the 2019/2020 season. As one of the clubs that once had a luxurious squad, it was clear that something was not good for them and it confirmed that they were very difficult in big competitions.

Mbappe has made a good choice, if he decided to go in the previous season then he could have gotten the Champions League title. A little late but this is not a problem because he is here. His career as a footballer is very bright, especially now he is already in a club that dominates the Champions League with 15 titles they won. I think that in the near future he will also get another pretension (near what I mean is 1 or 2 seasons at Real Madrid).
PSG have spent money and they are only chasing the Champions League trophy but they have never had significant success in the Champions League. Their only achievement is the local league title. Any mid-sized team could have been rebuilt with the amount of money they spent on players a few seasons ago. Mbappe played for PSG for a long time and did not win a major tournament title but his first match for Real Madrid won a major European tournament title and his contribution was evident. Better things lie ahead for Real Madrid and Mbappe. After Mbappe played his first match, he might be wondering why he didn't come to Real Madrid earlier.

We can't say that despite PSG's thumping win in this game because I think it was clear early on that they were prepared for it and Enrique's proof is still to come as to whether his decision not to look for a replacement for Mbappe this season was justified or not.
This is likely to happen when the matches start to get busy where PSG will face a lot of competition which makes Enrique have to think hard about adjusting players in rotation and maintaining performance.

In addition, their opponents are also not too strong so PSG cannot be complacent for the victory they should get in this match.
For now they may still be comfortable but towards the middle of the season if their performance does not falter then indeed Enrique proved that without Mbappe he can mix his squad better.

I can't see how it will ever be impressive when PSG beats their opponents in Ligue 1. It will always be David vs. Goliath given how huge the financial advantage is that PSG has over any other team in the league. It is literally like buying 3 points and Enrique will once again be judged by the Champions League only. Nobody really cares about the Ligue 1 title. Enrique probably doesn't care though as his salary is probably quite impressive. If he gets fired, he will be rich and if he doesn't get fired, he will still be rich. But if someone is a highly ambitious coach, I think PSG wouldn't necessarily be the club that a great trainer wants to take responsibility for. It's a pretty boring league and it doesn't feel like a huge achievement to win the title when you can just pump billions into the team whereas nobody else can do the same.

Just before the game started, I had already predicted ahd staked a bet that Paris Saint Germaine will score three or more goals in the game and just like I predicted, they put four goals past the home team Le Havre. Luis Enrique is an experienced manager who understands what it means to manage a top club so even without the presence if Kylian Mbappe in the Paris Saint Germaine team, I still expect the club to dominate the league. What I'm not sure if is if Paris Saint Germaine will do well in the UEFA Champions League competition without a player that's been the club's top scorer in the last seven seasons. PSG will continue their dominance in the league but do you think they'll beat their initial records in the UEFA Champions League competition??

I think Lee Kang will find his best form this season because he played quite well in the opening match of the season and if he is able to maintain his good performance in every match. Maybe he will be able to bring new changes to PSG's journey this season.

Marseille has did a good job today because they were under new manager De Zerbi can able to overcomes Brest with huge scores 5-1 and i have seen into Marseille lineup today and there were some of new players who makes their debut in this match such as Greenwood, Wahi, Cornelius and Højbjerg but these players has been proven that they can adapt quickly with De Zerbi strategy and performing well especially for Greenwood that in his debut match Greenwood has make a brace

For Brest they are 3rd place of last season but unfortunately they have to lost with huge scores in the opening match of season 2024/2025 however so far there was no surprising results for week 1 because after Marseille and PSG win then other strong teams such as Monaco and Lille also can beat their opponents without any problem and for next match i would like to see Lyon match result whether they can beat Rennes or not today

Thia is yat another to prove that PSG can still strive in the absence of mbappe contrary to the earlier contentions most persons had that PSG were rather going to suffer or struggle in mbappes absence but a 1-4 victory isn't such that can be regarded any close to luck, the obvious has to be that they did performed brilliantly and were deserving of such so it's no way a thing that should be considered luck. Very likely PSG still maintains a good potential around the ligue 1 and may possibly maintain dominance if not challenged by any of its counterparts in the ligue 1 this season. with this result so far, I'm building some optimism around PSG this season tho not beyond their domestic league.

Although Mbappe was a huge presence in the PSG team and no matter what they will definitely miss some of his special moments, but my take has always that they will not actually struggle that much against most of the clubs in the league simply because most of the clubs are not upto the standards of the PSG club example of this is Le Havre and that’s what they showed in this game. The biggest fear or obstacle for PSG might be coming from the champions league which is where the big clubs are.  This is the competition that sometimes needs individual brilliance in some games and Mbappe usually provides them, now they might have do it collectively or someone steps up when they need it

Marseille has again shown good performance under De Zerbi, they were even able to defeat Brest with a landslide score. Last season, Brest was able to make it difficult for Marseille when they met and they finished in third place in the standings. In the early match of this season, Marseille was able to defeat their opponent even though it was an away match. Greenwood showed his ability and was able to score the opening goal for his team, not only that he also scored one more goal and 3 from his teammates. Well, a good first match for De Zerbi to handle Marseille in Ligue 1. While Brest, they were unable to do much to reply and were only able to score one goal. A good first match for Marseille, especially to motivate them in the next matches they will play. With a score of 1-5, Marsille is at the top of the standings. Indeed, this is just the beginning of the match, we don't know yet whether they will be consistent or not. But at least, their performance is quite good. It's just that, De Zerbi has to fix some of his players, especially in the defensive sector. because, some of their defenders' performance was not so good.

Yes, overall PSG has not played well in recent friendly matches. Worse still without star striker Kylian Mbappe. The strength of the capital team Paris is still very great, but it will be a difficult challenge for them to compete with other opponents.

But it would not be surprising if Luis Enrique's team won 3 points in the opening match of Ligue 1 2024/25. Mbappe has left but PSG still has Ramos, Kolo Muani, and Mbaye to ensure attacking firepower. The gap between the two teams is like heaven and earth. Even without Mbappe, PSG are still rated much higher than the visitors. This is a clash between the number 1 candidate for the championship and one of the clubs with the highest chance of being relegated in the tournament. If PSG can't beat LeHavre, I think they should give up on winning the Champions League and even Ligue 1 this season. PSG is hoping to start the new season in the best possible way, so they will have a big win for this match, they want to confirm that Mbappe's absence will never affect the performance of a big team like them.
Yep, PSG performance is very perfect even though they don't have a mainstay player yet but I see the contribution of each player is very solid, very different from when Mbappe was still there. When Mbappe was still there, other players still depended on Mbappe who could always score but now all players can work together perfectly to score in turns.
Since the beginning of the match, even before the match started, it was clear that it would be impossible for the biggest team in League 1 to lose against a much weaker team and on the one hand Enrique certainly also has an alternative after losing Mbappe, he will definitely try to build the team's performance to be more consistent and look more stable even though it is very doubtful in the UCL later.

BTW, my bet won according to my prediction and I should have chosen -1.25 to get higher odds. But it doesn't matter, this is already profitable enough.

PSG is doing just fine without Mbappe. Enrique has a fantastic coach, and he is not hesitant to take big actions. Dembele and Barcola was a wise choice that reveals PSG has a strong bench.
It's not surprising, in the French League, even without Mbappe, they definitely and should have won. Moreover, their opponent was Le Havre, who was ranked 15th last season, and was almost in the relegation zone. So, PSG's big win is very natural, even without Mbappe.

............unfortunately for the temporary leader of the Marseille standings who beat Brest with a score of 5-1.
What is really awesome is Marseille's performance.
They won full from Brest, the top 3 French League last season.
With a big victory 1 - 5

Check the statistic, it's exactly effective attacks by Marseille.
