Messi is individually doing better than Ronaldo in their respective clubs this season. And by January I think Messi will still do better because Ronaldo has on his own put his career in Manchester United in jeopardy which means he will either have to officially apologize to the club to remain by January or to find another team he would join.
No matter the form of these two great players whenever they are in international football I always believe Portugal to be ahead of Argentina even if it doesn't happen often. For this WC I look upto Portugal to perform better than Argentina.

I think that here the author tries to show what should be done, but the cases are totally very different.

Even now I think that LOSC won the championship a few seasons ago and this was just luck for LOSC who played well after that but still dominated again as usual.
The initial rivalry was fair enough but neither club ultimately became consistent all the way to the end. This season I expected a lot from Marseille at the start but they have had an inconsistency at the start of the season which has left them far behind now.

PSG for Ligue 1 regardless of their focus or not the result will be the same. It's not too surprising if they rule out Ligue 1, especially since their main focus is still the Champions League which will obviously have a big game later.
Actually I expected more in the group stage but it's a shame they weren't so lucky because they had to finish as runners up and now have to face Bayern who obviously are a big club from another farmers' league.
Now it's just a matter of seeing whether they can or are only able to dominate in Ligue 1 like last season.

They don't even have to focus on Ligue 1 anymore. The only thing they should care about now is Bayern Munich, because if they win that game they will keep on facing great teams and first it's quarter finals then semi finals and then final and that will be a big deal but none of that matters for Ligue 1 because they are really great at ligue 1 and there is no other team in the league right now that could fight against them to win the title.

Not only they are good, they also dominate, meaning they don't "barely win" games, they win like with 4-5 goal differences when they are on their day. Which is why they are really good and would only care about UCL at this point.

That can happen this season, they will win the Ligue 1 title that is for sure, i do not feel there is a team that can stop them from winning that one, with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe playing so good, what brings competition in a league is how strong the other clubs are, and no other club in the Ligue 1 is close to being as strong as psg, so they are surely going to win that one. The one i am not sure about is the champions league title, they have a real battle in the round of 16 versus bayern munich, if they win bayern they may get to the final, when a club succeeds against a very tough opponent it helps them to play better as they go on, so if psg manage to beat bayern, they may make it to the champions league final and win it, but winning bayern is not easy to do.

I agree with you. PSG's focus is not Ligue 1 right now. They are now fully focused on the Champions League. However, there is no reason to think that they will perform poorly in Ligue 1 matches. Ligue 1 teams are weaker than PSG. So even if PSG put in a bit of a poor performance, they won't lose the top spot in the points table. It wouldn't be surprising if PSG won both the Champions League and Ligue 1 titles.

There is no club in Ligue 1 that can compete with PSG. However, there are several renowned clubs in Ligue 1 such as Lille, Lyon and Marseille. And the performance of these clubs is quite good. I'd say if they get big funds and are able to get the players they want, they can compete with PSG for the title. But PSG cannot win the title if they do not perform well. Also losing the truck after the World Cup will make it difficult for PSG to win the title. Because second place Lens is only 5 points behind PSG. If PSG loses two matches, Lens is ready to take over the top spot in the table.

No team has yet built themselves up to beat PSG in Ligue 1. PSG is the best team in League 1, they have the best players in their team, they are capable of scoring goals past the defenses of any team in League 1.

there are no problems for PSG this season. they continue to win big and keep on top of the standings. PSG's focus I think is no longer on Ligue 1. they always dream of the Champions League trophy. and they will not let go of the opportunity.

If later Lens suddenly experiences a decline in performance then of course PSG will be more comfortable at the top of the standings, and I think that is very likely to happen.

Competition? It is only a matter of time for the clubs in 2nd place to fall further behind PSG. Now the point from Lens which is in second place has shown a difference of 5 points and of course this point will be difficult to approach and even tends to be further away from the point acquisition.
But if we talk about the competition for the Europa League and Champions League zones apart from first place, it is indeed possible to happen.

For Ligue 1 I don't really expect much about the competition to catch PSG even though it would be great if there was something like that.

Marseille is a team, which also showed some really big promises this season. They were really close to the top of the table. But they could not perform consistently. Just like the other teams in this league, except for PSG.

The last match for Marseille is good to have a sleep-ended in a draw. Marseille had to wait till the 98th minute to make the 3 points sure. After being 2-1 down, they had to work really hard to come back in that match. At one point it honestly felt like it was going to be a draw. And towards the end, it was absolute chaos. But I thought Marseille had better control over the match compared to Monaco.
