Now in seventh round we are going to have few very exciting matches which will give more clear shape to this league table like Marseille is going to face Lille
They were consistent, 4 wins in the row show us They are more competitive to coup PSG, but usually what makes me worry is they are only good at the beginning and going to down in the middle session. We know both have the same points, Alexis Sanches is on fire, he found his performance in Marseille was just played 5 times but created 3 goals, is he getting better than was on Inter?

Currently marseille is ranked second on the ligue 1 standings, the presence of alexis sanchez adds to the attack power of the igor tudor squad, sanchez is a typical hard worker, his three goals prove that he can be relied on as one of the dangerous attackers that marseille has.

Igor Tudor's squad has just undergone 6 matches this season, this week marseille will host Lillie, but before that match, they will play the UCL tournament match against totenham hotspur.
This week they have a pretty tough job, the Igor Tudor squad are required to perform at their best.

I noticed Lorient already conceded 8 goals from 5 matches and on the big 6 they are one of the weakest defensive teams after Lille so for today match Lyon can utilized this weakness especially Lyon trio are on fire today because from total 14 goals Lyon their forward line such as Mateus Martins, Lacazette, and Yoko Ekambi has been scoring 10 goals so this proven Lyon had sharp forward players and today Lyon probably will continue their positive results and get 3 points from this match and odds for Lyon is @1.73
Although lorient have a slightly weak defense but they have started the season quite well this season and are able to be ranked 6th in the standings with a value of 10 points, lorient's defense and attack are the same as conceding 8 goals and creating 8 goals so I think their poor defense can still be offset by opportunities they scored a goal,  lyon is still better than lorient but that doesn't mean lyon will easily win at home to lorient, and maybe the match will be difficult and both teams will only get 1 point each in the match later.
yes I also doubt that Lorient can win against Lyon. other than head to head, Lorient's condition has not been able to reduce Quentin Boisgard and Adil Aouchiche, because both are still injured.
Meanwhile, Igor Silva is still a doubt to appear in this match due to thigh cramps. so my prediction is 0-2 for Lyon win.

About Alexis Sánchez in my personal view Alexis Sánchez is a great player but when it comes to scoring goals, I can't say Alexis Sánchez is the best. Alexis Sánchez is a typical hard working player so Alexis Sánchez will at least always have an influence for the team, but if as you say from 5 matches and Alexis Sánchez has 3 goals then surely it is a good record. Because if I realized, great players with high salaries sometimes get deadlocked to make quick goals in his new team, but Alexis Sánchez can do that so of course it will be a great achievement for him and the team.

Now in seventh round we are going to have few very exciting matches which will give more clear shape to this league table like Marseille is going to face Lille and then Monaco is going to host Lyon which is also very interesting match as right now Monaco is struggling badly and have second win of this season against Nice in last round surely they are looking for better performance against Lyon.
Before all of that, Lyon is going to play their outstanding game tomorrow, they have played only 5 matches, while other teams except Lorient have played 6 games, so they face Lorient tomorrow away from home, i feel it is going to be another victory for them, if they win that game they will move up to second position, and level on points with Marseille and psg, that is an excellent start to the season.

But like you said, they have two strong tests in the seventh and eight round of games, when they will face Monaco and then psg, how they come out of those two games will say a lot about how strong they are this season, a win against Monaco and a draw at psg will be a good result, but it is going to be difficult to achieve, i will follow those two games closely to see how Lyon fare.

Angers were a very easy opponent for Lyon. It was as if the Angers defense wasn't in the game.
Lyon have been very impressive in the Ligue 1 this season, last season they finished in 8th position, very far from the top four, i feel they want to correct that this season and try to finish in the top four, and if they continue playing the way they are doing, they can achieve that, they are in fourth position now with 13 points, and they have played only 5 matches, so it is impressive from Lyon.
Lyon is surely deserved in top four teams of French League and in last season their start was also very good but sadly after half of season they slipped and then fail to recover which was big disappointment for them now again in this season they are doing good job and have 13 points from five games with now they are going to face Lorient in sixth round on 7th September which is going to be good for them in case of win they will at third spot behind PSG and Marseille.

I have seen very few defensive lines that can remain unresponsive to goals. This was one of them. Angers team is mentally removed from the league.
Angers, just like Ajaccio are already in trouble of relegation very early in the season, Angers have not won any game this season, if they lose a few more, they can start preparing for life in Ligue 2.

Angers team is mentally removed from the league. Lacazette's vision was good. Gusto was my favorite football player who was open to improvement in Lyon. A football player with high potential. He is a good fullback and we have a good chance of seeing him in the Premier League in the future.

Clearly the things that are happening at PSG are the action of Mbappé's whim, and it seems to me that what the PSG has shown against two greats is a lack of respect and professionalism, Neymar Jr is somehow very motivated, and now the behavior of Mbappé with Messi on the pitch in front of the whole world have not been the right ones, and I think this is a lack of having a technical director who puts the cold points on him, because he really seems like a capricious child who should do what he wants he wants in the team, and he says that if he doesn't improve it, he won't have any allies when he plays, and he must remember that football needs a whole team, not just one player, so things can't go only revolving around Mbappé, as the Sheikh has made it known.
The issue is bad for PSG if their star players can not play well together in a whole team for a general objective. Their strength will be decreased if players have internal conflicts.

From personal view for Mbappe, it is bad too. If he can not control his extremely high ego and continue like this, he will self create bad connections with other players. He will be less focusing on his training and it will be bad for his career. If he continues like this, he will fall further behind Haaland. I am sure that Haaland will be the winner in the direct race between Haaland and Mbappe.

After many years, it is my first time to see a young player at ages 22 - 23 shows too high ego and reacts very rude, arrogantly against his mates like Mbappe. Scoring a few more goals from penalty won't make you a better player. Mbappe should look at Son Heung Min in Tottenham and learn.

Yes, in fact they have played well lately, especially when they managed to score a great goal, the fastest in the league, of course where Messi had a lot to do with it, in the end Mbappé did it, but his attitude is very immature, I I consider that he should play his role as a player, not as a manager of PSG, I also do not agree that the whole team has to revolve around him, because as you say, he is a bit self-centered and that hurts people a lot that they are like that, I actually put them aside, so I feel very bad that he has put players like Neymar Jr on a supposed list that wants them out of the team, so they are attributions that should not be taken.

They are in 5th place in the Ligue 1 standings after beating Montpelier with a score of 1-3 at the Mosson Stadium, the good result they got was the impact of the red card received by Valere Germain at the end of the first half so Lille could play more freely. Jonathan David has an important role for Lille in this match. And as you said that Lille looks like they will have a very difficult game in their next schedule, because they will face Marseille who until now have not had a loss in Ligue 1. Moreover, this match will take place at the Velodrome later.

If this match does not end in a draw, this is a very good opportunity to choose bets for 1 and 2, 1 has Odds @2.0 and @3.75 for 2. (Source: Rollbit Sports)
If one was willing to bet on Lille in that match, then they seemed ready to accept defeat given that Marseille's performance so far had been impressive. Marseille collected 14 points from 6 matches, they won 5 and drew only once. That's an important factor why I didn't choose Lille to win, because all the matches will take place at home to Marseille.
Here are the provisional odds for that match, may change again later because this match is still quite long (at least 6 days from now).

It was a one-sided match between Lille and Montpellier. It is at least my opinion that this is the case. There was 76% possession of the ball by Lille during the game. I really don’t know how they even conceded. In the end, Lille won the match by a score of 3-1. It is also important to mention that the red card of Montpelier was also a big help to Lille in their dominance. This was a much easier match than the one Lille has coming up against Marseille and I believe it will be a much more difficult match than this one.
I really don't know what to think about these teams in the French league, I've seen how many try to keep their level high in order to compete with PSG, but due to PSG's behavior where for me the only weakness is Mbappé for his whims, I think that Marseille could be a good team with all the characteristics to face them, for me the league is already defined with PSG, but I also start thinking about a small detail but that encompasses many things, the closeness of the World Cup QATAR is imminent, and the technical director has already said that his stars have to become familiar with the bench, he does it to take care of them, and this is where teams like Marseille and Lille can take advantage.

Nice   0-1  Monaco

After losing points in the last 4 matches, Monaco managed to get full points against Nice today. Monaco players had a good enough performance today. Breel Embolo's goal in the 69th minute of the match gave Monaco a 1-0 lead. Although Nice's players had some good attacks, they were unable to break Monaco's strong defense in this match.
Monaco's coach Philippe Clement was more careful in this match after the big loss against Troyes, he probably did some tactical work on their defense because losing 4-2 in your home stadium against a team that is new to Ligue 1 can tell you that there is something wrong in your defense, it showed in this match against Nice that they weren't playing aggressively and it worked out great.

Heard the news if PSG got a Fine from UEFA. They were fined for violating financial fair play. Even PSG got a fine with a considerable amount of 172 million Euros.
1. Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) - 65 million Euros
2. AS Roma (ITA) - 35 million Euros
3. Inter Milan (ITA) - 26 million Euros
4. Juventus (ITA) - 23 million Euros
5. AC Milan (ITA) - 15 million Euros
6. Besiktas (TOUR) - 4 million Euros
7. Marseille (FRA) - 2 million Euros
8. AS Monaco (FRA) - 2 million Euros
I don't know how they work but it seems like their goal is good.
So the French and Italian teams dominate for that? It was really surprising. I'm not surprised by PSG, but somehow I'm surprised by some of the other teams in Ligue 1 who have had to pay fines for FFP. Regardless, I think the pandemic might be the reason why this happened to 8 teams. But I don't know exactly how these 8 teams have to pay for something that happened so unexpectedly.

Didn't hear anything about Messi's speed even in his golden years  Roll Eyes Unfortunately, we will never see Messi in the Premier League, and now it would be very epic:

As for Mbappe, he has every chance of finishing as Neymar, maybe even better due to his achievements with the national team, but he will never come close to the greatest players. Haaland is now on the right track, Mbappe is not.

I agree regarding Haaland being on the right track vs. Mbappe making questionable choices. Would be nice to see Haaland play some international tournaments with Norway as well.

You didn't hear anything about Messi's speed even in his golden years? I am not sure we are talking about the same players, but his speed when it came to acceleration with the ball on his feet was one of a kind. Just watch his best goals. One of them being against Bilbao in Copa del rey, I think there is also a speed analysis somewhere on YouTube. Or the one against Real Madrid when he started at the midfield line. I am not talking about these goals when a player just kicks it forward 30 meters and then runs after it in Usain Bolt style. Speed with the ball on rather short distances. I'd say he was the fastest ever when you put together acceleration, ball control and stopping from full speed to zero, then accelerate again. Let me know if you know a player who has done that better and maybe even more often than Messi.

You are confusing dribbling and Barcelona's game model in general. Messi was part of it, and the part that was replaceable - the Spanish team without Messi won two European Championships and the World Cup in a row, and Villa perfectly replaced Messi (do you even remember who he is?). Outside of Barcelona's scheme of play, Messi has turned into an average player.
Neymar, Ibrahimovic, Mbappe etc. shone at PSG, but can you say the same about Messi?  Roll Eyes
PSG dominate France and it's easier for any player to shine here than in Lyon or Monaco, but so far only the ones I've listed (and a few others) have really done it.
Messi's style of play this season reminds me a bit of his early career style. Messi was a playmaker rather than a striker in his first three seasons with the Barcelona ace team. He was constantly feeding Eto'o and Ronaldinho, even if he had a chance, he was scoring goals, but there was no such effort to score an extra goal. During the Guardialo era, the scorer feature was prominent, and this situation continued a little out of necessity, especially after MSN disbanded in the following periods. At psg he returned to that first playmaker Messi again. But I think he's more comfortable in this role as well. He always expressed that he liked the role of playmaker more than the striker.

Good for Lille that finally they can able to win the match and 76% ball possessions proven they were very dominated the game but indeed these statistics probably they got on the second half because after red card incident who received by Montpellier players they taking the opportunity to playing more attacking and the results is Lille can scoring 2 goals on second half but next week will be so hard for them because they have to faced unbeaten team Marseille for away match

Messi - Mbappe duo did a great job today and helped the team have a comfortable win by 3-0. I didn't see Neymar in the starting eleven this time as Galtier put Sarabia instead. I wonder if there was a special reason for that. Maybe it might be related to the recent transfer rumours and the problems between him and Mbappe. He entered the game in the second half in the place of Mbappe. Maybe these problems don't affect their results in the league much but they should work this out before things get serious in the Champions League.

In addition, Lyon were amazing today. They defeated Angers 5-0 and increased their points to 13. After a very troubling season they have improved their effort very much now. It is still too difficult for them to bother PSG for the title but their main goal would be finishing the season at no less than the second position.
Well PSG needs to test several associations and strategies before CL to be ready for all scenarios since their main objective is to take that title after all money spent.
Lyon scoring 5 goals was impressive.
For now, OM is still annoying PSG with 16 points. Both Lens and Lyon have 13 points and still lack 1 game. It is quite good to see such competitiveness!

I don't know whether this can really be considered a test. It's a bit interesting that he lets Messi play the full distance while bringing Neymar from the bench and taking Mbappe off since Messi is the oldest. Despite that he seems to be fit and without any physical issues. The thing is that PSG has less wake up moments where the get under pressure and understand that they need to step up their game. That is different in most other important European leagues where clubs understand quickly that if they don't win, someone else will and win the title in the end. If you miss this feeling for half a year and then go against the most serious competitors in Europe, that might sometimes be the tiny bit that PSG is lacking. What I do like is that Messi doesn't look tired or anything. He is motivated for now and fun to watch.
But Nantes who only played with 10 player from the 24th minute was like a win that was too low for PSG, should be with PSG's great composition of players they can at least win more. Don't care about Neymar and Mbappe, because it looks like their case has been resolved and after all Mbappe must have awareness because after all the young must respect the older. It's different if Neymar's attitude is a mistake then Mbappe might be able to fight him, but their problem is only about a goal they fight over a penalty kick which shouldn't be a case that lasts forever.

That's a difficult rule when you say that after all the young must respect the older. In my opinion that also counts the other way around. The point is that the younger first have to do well in order to climb up the hierarchy, but making it a general rule that the younger have to respect the older isn even always the best way for the team. If there is a younger guy who is the best on the team then he is the best of the team no matter what when it comes to free kick or penalty shooting. Messi let's take Neymar the penalties and even very often the free kicks. Messi understood that he is not 25 anymore when he literally took responsibility for everything that happened on the pitch. It is good for the chemistry that Messi also doesn't claim to be at the top of the hierarchy anymore.

The game against Nantes was done as you said when the red card was shown, but even before that Nantes would have hardly had any chance. Now we finally get to see the games that tell more about the teams.
