Nice team is on fire in this end of season they won their last three games and this week game was impressive they made a comeback after being 2 0 behind against one of the relegation zone teams we know how difficult it is since they desperatly need the points, with this win we will see an impressive competition for the european spots in the last two rounds.

I don't really know how Rennes managed to lose against Nantes yesterday. It was one of the crucial games for Rennes surely but they failed to win. Nantes won by 2-1 and hit them hard. Rennes have dropped to the fifth position in the standings suddenly after this poor result. They were in a race to join the Champions League but now they have a harder job to do. There are only two weeks to go now and I wonder if they'll be able to revert this situation.
A rather strange result, given that this game did not decide anything for Nantes in the tournament sense. Taking into account the fact that in the next round Rennes is playing with Marseille, and Strasbourg with a weak Clermont, Rennes has a chance in just two rounds to fly out of the Champions League zone to be in the zone without euro cups.

I don't really know how Rennes managed to lose against Nantes yesterday. It was one of the crucial games for Rennes surely but they failed to win. Nantes won by 2-1 and hit them hard. Rennes have dropped to the fifth position in the standings suddenly after this poor result. They were in a race to join the Champions League but now they have a harder job to do. There are only two weeks to go now and I wonder if they'll be able to revert this situation.
This is a pretty fatal mistake for Rennes because with the results they got yesterday they are now thrown into 5th position and it's getting more difficult of course because there are only 2 matches left.they now have to get up and must not lose again in the last 2 matches if they really want to compete for the top 3 position because the chance is still there although it is quite difficult now considering that Monaco is still quite victorious with their winning streak

Rennes actually broke the deadlock in that match but I have to say they missed some golden opportunity to get further ahead in that match. they even had an empty goal once in that match from a corner but they also missed that chance.
Now if we look at things statistically I think Rennes still has a chance of finishing at least in the third position but the problem is they have a match against Marseille which I believe they are not going to win. so this certainly puts them in an interesting situation.

Things have gone worse for Rennes in the standings after they got that result today. I mean that they got an unexpected loss against Nantes by 2-1. Monaco and Nice both succeeded in getting past Rennes in the standings after this happened. It was one of the most important games for Rennes but I don't know how they failed like this. They might lose their chance to qualify for the CL as of now too. Rennes have a very difficult game ahead also which is against Marseille.

Monaco and Nice both succeeded in getting past Rennes in the standings after this happened. It was one of the most important games for Rennes but I don't know how they failed like this. They might lose their chance to qualify for the CL as of now too. Rennes have a very difficult game ahead also which is against Marseille.

What a game it was! Nice were left 2-0 behind by St Etienne first and the first half ended like that. But in the second half, there were a completely difference Nice and they made an incredible comeback to a 4-2 score. This must have been a really unforgettable victory for them. And this win carried them to the fourth place in the standings for now. Rennes are playing an away game against Nantes tonight and let's see whether they will manage to leave Nice and Monaco both behind by winning. I think that Rennes are going to be victorious.
There is no doubt St Étienne done good job in first half despite good control from Nice but sadly in second half Nice never allow them for any fight back and take their full three points which now giving them good spot for staying into Europa Cup place for next season. Nice performing very good in last few weeks and their this performance is giving them good chance for top flight in presence of few very good teams like Lyon, Lille and Strasbourg.
Even now they have very few chances for Champions League qualification, but their fighting spirit is amazing which is helping them for good results at very crucial stage of this season now their next challenge is against former champions Lille which is also very important to win for staying here.

Nice victory was expected but how come Rennes lose! After scoring first, Nantes flipped the table and won 2-1... Now this defeat might wake them up to play better vs Marseille and let Monaco advance to the 2nd place Nantes 2-1 Rennes

For St-Etienne, it would be hard to get out of the relegation zone but surviving in Ligue 1 could be possible with relegation play-offs.

One of the most interesting matches in Ligue 1 this week is the Nice vs Saint-Etienne match. Even though Nice are one of the strongest teams
in Ligue 1, but facing Saint-Etienne they had a hard time in the first half. Fortunately entering the second half Nice showed an extraordinary increase
in performance to score 4 goals and finally Nice was able to win. Nice win is very important for them, because Nice try to secure their position
in the top 5, so that next season can play in European competition. And there was a match with an unexpected outcome, in which Rennes was defeated
by Nantes, Rennes defeat also made them have to get out of competition with Marseille and Monaco who are trying to fight for second place.

There are only two matches left for each team this season, I think there is a really good chance for Rennes to compete for the Champions League qualifier, but the way Monaco is playing right now I really don't think they are going to lose even one match. Monaco is going to play Lens and Brest in their next two matches and I don't think they are going to lose or even draw either of them.
If anything Marseille has really hard matches against Rennes and Strasbourg. So it will not be surprising if they actually end up losing and Monaco is the one finishing in the second place.
I agree, Monaco really wants it and they really deserve it as well. They haven't lost in a while and I can't really remember when was the last time they lost, so I can't really say there is a good case to be made about the current situation they are in right now.If anything Marseille has really hard matches against Rennes and Strasbourg. I agree that it will take a while before we could see a big challenge towards PSG ever again, even they lose Mbappe they have enough money to get someone else for that position and meanwhile they could still play for the championship easily with their current squad missing mbappe. However, the other teams have been publicly belittled enough for many years, they are actually growing bigger these days.

In my opinion, the most interesting fight (and the most important one since the Champions League ticket is at stake) is for third place: Rennes has one more point (if it wins all three games), but it has two very difficult games left, while Monaco has only two games left and only one of them is difficult. I think Monaco will win this fight.
Monaco is on good position and I think they will be able to stay in this position. Next match of Monaco is easy to win if we compare the next match of Rennes against Nantes. Players of Monaco are performing so good and I hope they'll be able to finish this season by taking place of 3rd on point table.As I said, no matter how good the position of Monaco is, the final distribution of places does not depend on them. If Rennes win the remaining games, it will be third (because they have a better difference between goals scored and conceded, for some reason I thought that they had one more point, but there is no difference - the situation is exactly the same).

They will have to fight and wait for the final match day. Good luck to Monaco because I would like to see this club in Champions League again.It sounds a bit bitter hate against Rennes or Marseilles but I don't hate these clubs. Just have a bit favorite to see their return to the biggest cup tournament in the Europe. Honestly both Rennes and Marseilles have been doing their job very impressively in this season and they all deserve to get a position in Champions League.

Monaco is in improvement process in order to get back the position on top of Ligue 1 as they had years ago with Mbappe as their young and brightest star.However, problems with Monaco as a small club is they can not convince their best players to stay at their club. So they lose them to bigger clubs in Lique 1 and in the Europe. This way, they can not build up a big club to compete for Ligue 1 trophy or Champions League.

The four teams for positions 2, 3, 4 and 5 for the euro zone in Ligue 1 are still interesting to watch, because this close points gap makes their position both insecure. If they want to end the season in the best possible place, then surely they cannot underestimate the opponents they face in the remaining matches. But unfortunately, Marseille, Monaco and Rennes if I may conclude, they have quite difficult opponents for the remaining two matches. That way, their position at the end is very uncertain, because their opponents are not easy it is like a big obstacle at the end of the season.

Marseille, Monaco, Rennes, all these guys I honestly can't tell the difference in terms of how likely they are to get results. I've been 50/50 betting on all these guys, when the odds are roughly 2x, and it seems to be just a matter of how many goals either side can score first. I'd love to see Monaco back in UCL spot though, and perhaps they'll be good enough to go thanks to qualification, so 3rd place would be enough (for now).
It is normal, we are at the end of the season and there are way too many people who look like we have no idea how they will do. I am guessing that it will take a while before we could see them play much better than expected, sure it's not going to be like they are going to lose all games all three of them, they will win mostly but at the same time it's not going to be easy for us to decide how they are going to end up winning neither.I am guessing that the best case for all of us would be to not risk our money and wager on their games, even though they will win most games remaining, it will still not be something simple and would probably lose time to time enough to have is in big loss.
I think in the end, the only one who will have disappointed fans is PSG and of course Bordeaux, what a farce they have both become at top and bottom of the league. Lille, yes, they probably have the season's worst title defence but that was actually 100% expected. I know it sucks where they are now with no European football but they have to understand this was expected when you pick a squad up after it wins.
Monaco, Marseille, even in my opinion, won't have a better chance than next season to try and take advantage and win the league.

I think Nice and Rennes will win their games tomorrow.
For Saturday, St-Etienne and Metz will fight furiously more than their opponents so I think they could win it. PSG games have to be avoided since they have nothing to fight for. Lyon, Strasbourg and Monaco to win.
Rennes - OM is the best match imo, very hard to predict followed by Nice - Lille. I am counting for Rennes and Nice to win but I won't be surprised to see the opposite.
