have a chance to reclaim second place from Monaco if Marseille can beat Lorient. Of course Marseille should be able to beat Lorient which is
a weak team and Lorient's performance has also been poor in the last few matches. The rivalry between Monaco and Marseille is likely to

Yes, I agree because even though it looks like Strasbourg are in a better position in the standings and they are also playing better throughout the whole season.

But I think Strasbourg still has a very good chance of finishing in the top five.

Marseille itself will just play tomorrow and Marseille play away against Lorient as the bottom five teams, on this occasion I personally believe Marseille will win and put themselves back in 2nd place. Likewise with Rennes who will play away but unfortunately, Rennes gets a more difficult opponent like Nantes. But in any case, if in the end they get the same points at the end of the season then surely Rennes as the team that leads in number of goals will be the team for 2nd place. Sure, the Monaco team has done so well in their last few games so I think with these outstanding performances they deserve to be in the champions league next season. Their victory against Lille yesterday was not a surprise to me because they have been in prolific form.

I also think the same as you, Marseille deserves to be second in the Ligue 1 standings. There are only 3 games left. there is no opposing team that could possibly be a strong opponent for them except Rennes as I have mentioned before.

The reason is because Rennes are also still fighting for the top spot until the end of the season. Currently they are in fourth place in the standings and have points that are not far adrift of Marseille and AS Monaco.

AS Monaco have big chance after winning last night from Lille and now drop Marseille to 3rd standing place but Marseille can back to 2nd place if success defeat Lorient on next match. AS Monaco have good chance than Marseille on left match because Monaco left two match against with Brest and Lens and looks 6 point on Monaco hands, different thing with Marseille after match with Lorient waiting by Rennes as 4th team standing and Strasbourg as 6th team standing and will make Marseille not easy get all points on left match.

It was Monaco's lucky day. They indeed play amazingly. After Lille equalize the score sheet to 1-1, Tchouameni came through with an incredible goal Which resulted to Monaco winning the match. Although, Lille have been in terrible form lately. However, Marseille have to win their match tomorrow against Lorient in order to slide back to the 2nd place. Monaco is doing great job in last few matches, and they are giving their 100% but for me, it's late for them because now ending in top three is not easy for them with Marseille and Rennes both are also doing great job and having very good chance of staying at top.

In last ten matches Monaco won nine and lost only one with Rennes is also having very impressive record with one draw and two loses, but now it's all on their next game against Nantes if they won this then surely they could be strong competitor for third spot otherwise Monaco is going to have their target because their last few matches run is amazing, and they have fair chance for third spot and Champions League qualification for next year.
