Are these the last games for Mbappe? The championship is now won, now he can only become the top scorer of the season. Kylian Mbappe has 22 goals and Wissam Ben Yedder + Martin Terrier have scored 20 goals. So another title is still in for Paris this season. Now they can prepare for the next round and plan the squad to have a better chance to win the Champions League.

Just a draw was enough for PSG to lock up the title this season, because even though, for example, Marseille got 5 wins in a row and PSG got 4 defeats in a row, PSG's points are still higher. So, last night's match against Lens even though it only ended with the score 1-1, PSG are already title winners this season but the competition for positions below them at 2,3,4 and 5 at least for the European tournament places the competition will still happen until the end.

An awesome goal by Messi and with PSG draw vs Lens tonight, PSG is officially the champions of Ligue 1, which was expected BTW since the beginning.
With Paris St-Germain being confirmed as champions, am hoping that players like Messi can give themselves the time to find what works for him before the start of the new season, because honestly we haven't seen the best of him since he left Barcelona. And with continued rumours of Mbappe leaving he certainly has to setup his game to be a reliable striker !Quote

Actually, all possibilities are possible, Strasbourg has lost a lot of points lately, but Lille is playing poorly as well. Monaco, on the other hand, is a very fit team and can progress without losing points.

Which team do you think will finish third at the end of the Ligue 1 season? I think the strongest candidate for third place in the Ligue 1 standings is AS Monaco, because their next match will be quite easy, this week they face Etienne, but after that they will face Angers, Brest and Lens. Only Lille may come in their way in Week 36 of Ligue 1. Meanwhile, Rennes and Strasbourg still have quite difficult matches, such as Rennes who will still meet Marseille and Strasbourg who will still meet PSG.
I agree with you, I think the strongest candidate at the moment is Monaco. In the upcoming matches, their opponents are not very strong and if Monaco continues to play like this, it will not be difficult, they can finish 3rd in the league.
They won the match very easily last night. They only conceded 1 goal, which was a penalty kick. The match ended 4-1 and we could have predicted it would be like this

Lyon destroyed Montpelier at the Groupama Stadium. Montpelier tried their best to draw the home team in the first half with a score sheet of 2-2. Unfortunately they couldn't keep up their form in the second half, they made alot of fallible mistakes which cost them to concede more goals in the second half. Lyon didn't give them breathing space, they did several counter attacks in the game that eventually led to goals. It was a big win for the home team who needed more points to slide in for the top 4th spot in order to qualify for Europa League next season after been knocked out of the Europa League this season by Westham.
Lyon were victorious in the game between Montpellier and them. Perhaps it was a big and branwy game for the home side at first half, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Later on it became an easy win for them. The Les Gones incredibly did a remarkable performance in the second half of the game by netting 3 goals in the second half, Houssem Aouar scored a brace in the game to put his team infront. The Les Gones are just few away to qualify for the Europa league for next season and it they continue this unbeaten run, they may likely qualify for the europa league for next season. In the previous season PSG finished second, but this year, with their hard work and team mates like Neymar, Mbappe, etc., they win the title. Yet another championship for Lionel Messi. Congratulations for Lionel Messi's French league title. However, PSG's fans are a bunch of crap, constantly booing their stars. Even so, Neymar advised them to pace themselves. Despite his injuries, Neymar Jr. is a very good player. He is just unlucky with injuries, but when he is not injured, Neymar will make beautiful passes.

It's true that PSG won the league before the season ended unfortunately today's match ended in a draw PSG should have won in celebration at home
By the way I just found out that Ligue 1 only got 2 champions league tickets and +1 ticket through the qualifying stage ?
I never noticed it before, today I checked the standings and was a little surprised.

The PSG vs Lens match which ended in a draw ensured that PSG won the Ligue 1 trophy this season and that was not surprising. Because from
the start, the difference points between PSG's and Marseille, who is in second place is quite far, so it's difficult to catch up with PSG's points.
But it was a bit disappointing that PSG failed to win against Lens, even though Lens got a red card in the 57th minute. PSG should be able to
beat Lens with a fairly large score, but maybe not the main priority to beat Lens. Most importantly PSG got a point and that was enough to ensure
PSG won the Ligue trophy this season. I'm happy that Messi is starting to adapt to the PSG game. Hopefully next season Messi can play even better
and can make a bigger contribution to PSG. Moreover, it is very likely that Mbappe will leave PSG, so Messi and Neymar will be the players that PSG

Even after today match they are confirmed as champions but what ha shameful result for them, they are playing at home against ten men Lens and fail to having clean sheet with end this match in a draw now they need to think about their defense which is having some serious troubles for them in throughout season.
Basically they have nothing to fight for anymore. They won the league and they are out of the UCL so it doesnt really matter if either they win or lose or even under perform because they would have been paid either way by the club. Alot of things would be changing in the summer so it doesnt really matter anymore at this point and most likely Poch wont be there next season though

Getting one point was going to be enough for PSG to become the champions and they made it. Actually it was a game that they would have won easily but Lens somehow obtained one point despite playing with ten players. PSG are the champions maybe but they haven't had a good season that's for sure. They were eliminated from the Champions League very early and it was a big disappointment.

Monaco has been on a big winning streak and I believe when teams are like that, the loss is imminent and coming soon. I said the same thing about Barcelona when they were going unbeaten for so long, and that resulted with them losing to both frankfurt and cadiz back to back.
I believe same will happen to monaco, they have been amazing so far but they are going to end up losing eventually. Whereas strasborg and rennes ended up playing in a way that they are doing fine and they will probably win again, they had losses already so it shouldn't really be shocking that they could end up with some wins all over again. This is why I feel like strasborg has the bigger chance, then followed by rennes then 5th would be monaco.
There is no doubt with current form Monaco is having some amazing results, and they are favorite for third spot but currently Rennes which was doing good in last few weeks on two matches losing streak can also fight back as now they have two easy games against Lorient and St Étienne which will help them for staying at third spot as they are superior in goal difference which is also very important at the end of this season.I believe same will happen to monaco, they have been amazing so far but they are going to end up losing eventually. Today Lyon also in good touch against Montpellier but for me, they are late for their spot in top five teams because of their poor form and Strasbourg is also having very tough matches against Lille and PSG which will decide about their run into top five teams because they need to win few matches for staying at top five.

Paris St-Germain as usual failing to keep a clean sheet drew against Lens 1-1 which doesn't surprise me thanks to their bad defense. These guys need to start getting those clean sheets to prove they are a power house in France!
Lyon after a bad weekend last week but managed to bounce back to winning ways with a 5-2 win against Montpelier which is a result I did see coming.

In today match they were in total control and having some good number of shots at goal but still fail at 57th minute when Danso Red Carded match was 0 - 0 and after ten minutes they take lead through Messi which was not enough to win this match and 88th minute goal from Jean goal give them a good point which can help them for staying into contention for Europa Cup.

Although Messi managed to score in this match, it is a shame that PSG failed to maintain their victory for a few minutes before the match ended. Lens managed to force PSG to a draw even though they had to play 10 with men after one of their players was sent off. Of course this is a disproportionate result for PSG whose victory was almost safe for a few minutes before the match ended.
But now I think it's safe to say PSG will win the title before the season is over.

As I expected, AS Monaco will easily beat Etienne, currently the score in their match is Etienne 1 - 3 AS Monaco.
AS Monaco's 3 goals came from Kevin Volland, Ben Yedder and 1 own goal from Kolo. With this result AS Monaco can be a little more relieved because they are 3 points above Rennes and Strasbourg, meanwhile Saint-Etienne will enter the relegation zone.

PSG - Lens game has started and we have left half an hour behind. The current score is still 0-0 but PSG are playing really dominantly now. It is a matter of time that they would score a goal and get ahead. This is an important game for them as they can announce their Ligue 1 title earlier on the condition they win this. And I strongly believe that they will be able to defeat Lens one way or another. It shouldn't be too hard for them with that trio on the front. I think they will win by a result like 2-0 or 2-1.

Wait so the match is suspended? this was an easy win for Monaco. What I am watching right now is that 77 minutes have been played and a goal has just been scored by Boadu. The score is 4-1 in favor of Monaco.
Where did I say the match was suspended? the match was finished with a final score of 1 - 4 and a win for AS Monaco. They really converted their shots on goal really well, from 6 shots on goal they managed to make 4 goals.
They've managed to stay away from Rennes and Strasbourg for a while, but do you think they can move Marseille from second place? they are only 3 points away even though Marseille still has 1 game left against Reims tomorrow
