However, PSG on paper is a lot better than Bayern, if they play against each other 10 times I would wager that Bayern would win more than they lose.

So, if a team that is worse on paper is ending up playing much better in a better league and beating their much better on paper roster opponent, what does that tell us? It is not that PSG is a bad team, it tells us that they are managed wrong. Pochettino could be a decent manager I am not against it but it doesn't look like he really knows what he is doing with such a star filled team. I could see Zidane being soooo much better if he got back on coaching again.

I don’t know but this season PSG hasn’t performed to their highest standards, because look at their draws which were games you expect them to win, and I know I’m being harsh because I have really high standards for them. Lastly comparing Bayern and PSG makes no sense, because both play in very different league, and Bundesliga is very competitive and I don’t find Ligue 1 that competitive in comparison to Bundesliga.

It has been a competitive season for some of the clubs at top positions in the league standings. I don't include PSG of course as they have already guaranteed their Ligue 1 championship logically I think. I see that there is no way any other club can close the gap with PSG and reach the title. PSG lost their title chance by a close call in the last season. So, I don't expect them to let it happen again consecutively. They have already started focusing more on the Champions League I think.

The competition for the second position in Ligue 1 is clearly more competitive at the moment compared to the struggle for position 1, if you look at it, it seems that this season the competition for the European zone position has stiff competition with a small difference in points, even some teams actually have the opportunity to replace each other in their positions in the rest of this season, I personally find it quite interesting to see the difference in points owned by the 4th to 14th ranks, each team actually only has a difference of 1 point with the team above it and it seems like this forms a tiered ladder Grin

Bayern have long maintained a stable team. They don’t change the team too much.
On the other hand, although there are many good players in the PSG team now, they are new to PSG. It will take time for them to get to know each other. If the same players perform together for a few years, then maybe PSG's performance will be as strong as Bayern Munich's. Besides, I didn't think the PSG coach was experienced enough. I don't like his tactics.

Monaco and Lille are really playing poorly this season, but judging by the odds offered by the bookmakers, Monaco, despite the fact that the opponents have a good ganlicap, is still practically the favorite in the fight for second place:

These are the odds of winning the championship, but I think, based on these data, it is easy to understand the teams' odds for the second place, given that everyone knows which team will take the first.

It is remarkable to see the performance from Lille after last season's championship. It must be said that this will not happen again in the next 20 years. Paris St Germain then had a very bad start in the competition. This competition is normally not exciting because Paris St German is so much better than the rest. For the 2nd place it is completely open. I would have rated Lyon a bit higher. However, we are only halfway through the competition, everything is still open.

PSG's current position is 13 points ahead of Nice who are in second place and if they continue to perform consistently it is certain that PSG will win the title early, but PSG's condition can change given the inconsistent performances plus they have a fairly difficult schedule. next month against Madrid in the Champions League round of 16. Maybe the champions league is quite an important target for PSG but I think they are very difficult to win the champions league title this season even with the presence of Lionel Messi.

I agree with you - last season Lille won absolutely deservedly. The result of any round robin tournament contains very little luck, since the distance is very large and everyone plays according to a fair scheme - each against each other. I can believe that someone was more fortunate in a tournament that takes place according to the playoff scheme, but this is a separate story. Just because Lille is much weaker this year than last season does not mean it won last year because of luck.

If you look at this, you will see the main reason why they are not as good as they used to be. The main reason why they are bad is the fact that the difference between their sold players and bought players is 40+ million euro total value difference.

Value is something subjective and some great player with high value could end up being horrible whereas some young wonderkid you get for cheap could turn out to be amazing, we have no idea which one it will be before players start playing, but it is obvious that in this case they lost good players. This caused them to have a weaker team and that caused them to lose a lot more games this year.
