Damn, it was so close. Still, the absence of Mbappe and Neymar influenced the result. Messi continues not to score goals and keeps worsening his statistics - I wonder if this will ever end? It seems to me that this state of affairs is already a serious burden on the psyche of Messi, who is used to scoring a lot and being in full view of everyone.
Messi and Ronaldo have issues with ageing and I don't think they can solve their issues completely. At their ages now, they will have more ups and downs in their performance and they will not be able to score so many goals, in so many matches like what we saw five seasons ago.

Now, they are players of moments and we should enjoy any fantastic moment they have for us. We won't see so many moments like that because they are moving to end of their career.

PSG again decided to play according to the old scheme: an unsuccessful start, then a painful game and a victory in the last minutes. But there is a problem - Mbappe is missing. I'm not sure if PSG will win, but the 3.45 odds look like a gift. Easy bet. ‍

I don't think Lorient will have enough strength for the second half.

I think the Lorient vs PSG match was beyond what most of us expected. PSG, who dominated the game, was left behind in the first half. Several PSG attempts failed, including Messi's hard kick that hit the post. Icardi also missed a few chances and the same happened to Di Maria. Luckily Icardi's header a few minutes before the game ended managed to become a goal, 1-1 for a match that is considered unattractive by most people.

I also didn't watch the match because there is no longer a strong competition in ligue 1 right now, although PSG got a draw in that match but it didn't change their position at the top of the standings, now the difference in points is quite far from the rival team make PSG quite safe at the top of the standings.

PSG shared points with a weaker team like Lorient yesterday. This may not be an obstacle for them to win the title, but they should have scored 3 points in this match. Lorient is a very weak team. The main reason PSG did not perform well yesterday is that they do not have a stable match strategy. They often change tactics in the match, at the same time changing the formation. They should play in one certain formation. There need to be specific strategies. Otherwise the performance will not be continuous. He will not be able to perform as expected in the Champions League.
PSG struggled in league 1 this season, unable to impress their fans with their style of play. Slowly but surely, things are settling down and we can expect PSG's performance to return to normal. It is impossible to consider Ligue 1 more superior than any other national league. With PSG, Kylian helps Messi out a lot, because Messi is new to the team, but he and Kylian perform very well together. When Kylian isn't playing and Messi is playing, Messi looks like he is playing by himself.

The Monaco - Rennes game yesterday was really difficult for both sides. I was expecting a draw by goals from each side actually but my favourite side to win was definitely Monaco. And after a really fierce rivalry, Monaco managed to win this competitive game by 2-1. Rennes scored first but Monaco equalized the score in the same half. And Monaco's winning goal came in the 72th minute by K. Volland. This was a crucial win for Monaco as they climbed a few places in the standings and decreased the point difference with Rennes to only 2 also.
Yes, of course it is a good result for Monaco to again have a chance to be in the 4th or even the top 3 at the end of the season. In addition, if we check their head to head at least we will get a result where their match is dominated by the home team to win or draw, only sometimes the win is in favor of the away team but the distance is quite far. Results from history like this sometimes repeat themselves even though in reality, we saw their previous position quite far away on paper maybe a draw is very likely in this match, but Monaco can play well and extend their history.

Ligue 1 is currently the most boring of the major leagues in Europe. Despite the draw against second-to-last Lorient, Paris still has a 13-point lead over the second-place team after only half of the season's games. The only exciting thing in the league remains the fight for the international places. After all, between the 2nd place and the 10th place are only 7 points difference.
Indeed the fight is currently for the CL & EL & Conference League spots.
The trending news right now isn't PSG getting a draw against a team in the relegation zone or OM and Rennes dropping points but mostly about the unstoppable Sergio most-carded Ramos who wants to get a new achievement everywhere. Most-carded player in Champions League?, in La Liga too? with the Spanish national team? Of course yellow and red cards, no kidding. A new record might be made in Ligue 1 if he continues to play regularly for some while. Luckily he cannot get more than 2 yellow cards and/or 1 red card per game. Bravo Ramos !

The whole farmer's league has been unattractive to many, not exclusively for this match. I so much wished that Lorient could replicate what Spezia did to Napoli in Italy. It nearly happened. Despite PSG dominating the game, they had narrow luck on goals.
However, Icardi go suddenly lucky to redeem a lone point for his giant side.
This is fascinating team like Lorient giving hard time to PSG with they have nearly 77% ball possession and 17 shots on goals and in presence of some quality strikers just level match 1 - 1. Surely it's not good for PSG, and they need to think about their strategy because it's going to hurt them for next matches even they are already having some good gape of points and title is in their wallet already. Just Mbappe was not available and rest of team giving very poor performance is having not good impact.

For Napoli, it's having nothing good with too many loses in last few matches and now at 3rd spot with still chance to go more down after break, and they are going to face Juventus which is in good touch now.

@KingsDwn it’s a poor performance from PSG, and they should be livid with themselves for not getting the full three points against Lorient. Furthermore if Poch really wishes to secure his job then he needs to make PSG win against such easy opponents, otherwise I fear he won’t last long at the club.
Lol, PSG remains a strange team so far in Ligue 1 and even, against a team that is in the relegation zone PSG still have to lose players due to getting a red card. Came on as a substitute but ended up being sent off before the game was over due to a red card, I wonder if PSG are happy or regret buying an expensive player but not having such a big performance for the team. Teams with many star players with expensive salaries still find it difficult to get points in every match, the benchmark for how much PSG has succeeded will be proven in the UCL because here in Ligue 1, PSG are safely at the top.

Some surprises on todays games so far bordeaux are ahead 2 1 against lille in the first half and psg are behind 1 0 against lorient what a first half for the home team they deserved to score they were really dangerous but it will be difficult for them on the second half as we all know psg are good at comebacks especially on the second half of the games i think a draw for lorient team will be a positive result.
Now all surprises are in normal as we are having end of these matches with Bordeaux is lost against Lille by 2 - 3 what a comeback from Lille good fight for having win. PSG having red carded Ramos is guilty party but good thing injury time goal from Icardi give them a draw with some better end of this match against 18 rank team in League. Monaco won against Rennes and Marseille also having injury time penalty for respectable draw against Reims, Brest also ends in draw after having early leads against Troyes. Now Nice staying at second spot with 13 points trailing from leaders PSG.

In the absence of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi have the most of the responsibility in the game against Lorient now. And it looks like things are not going very well for PSG. They had a really poor performance in the first half and Lorient managed to end it by a 1-0 lead. PSG should do something about it to make a comeback. We will see if Messi will be able to carry his team like in the old times at Barcelona.
With three strikers from Argentina on for PSG and Ramos is also now having his spot it's really poor display of game from PSG standard and squad Lorient is coming out of relegation after this win and PSG is having more frustration because of very poor play.

Good thing happening as Marseille is also playing without any goal at home against Reims, so gape is still 12 points between these teams, but we have another half hour hopefully something positive will happen for these two teams. Lyon just take leads and Rennes and Monaco are also playing draw with score of 1 - 1 last round before break is very interesting right now.

There is a very little time left for the matches to be underway. PSG are going to be playing an away game against Lorient and it is a very comfortable one for them truthfully. Before giving a long break, I don't expect PSG to make a mistake and lose points as a result. But actually, I'm more interested in the Monaco - Rennes game. This is a clash of equal in strength teams. Monaco seem to have a stadium advantage but anything can still happen. I feel myself closer to seeing a draw and both teams scoring.
