PSG continue to dominate the league with the results they have gotten so far. They have a 8-win streak now which is really a gigantic success. But on the other hand, nearly all of their opponents seem much weaker than them. Therefore, I can't say that there is a huge competition for the title this season. My opinion would be much different if the teams like Lille, Monaco and Lyon started better but maybe they can atone for their bad results in the coming games. But I still believe in PSG to win the championship by a big gap.

Only 8 games and PSG are already top of the table by 10 points off their rivals this means that PSG is definitely the champion I don't see other teams can compete
Btw Messi hasn't scored for PSG so far right?
Indeed Messi played in 3 games in which he started in 2, it is approximately a total of 190 minutes and didn't make a single goal nor a single assist. Now he is injured, he missed Montpellier match and risks to miss City's one too although they mentioned that he started training again. So I assume even if he could participate, he will not play 90 minutes.
So far what's for me interesting about watching PSG is Lionel Messi, I can't watch Ligue 1 because I don't find local television that can broadcast it here, but I can watch it when PSG play in the champions league, Idk how bad his injury when he joined on a practice session, possible he going to be a starter next wenesday.

Look like that too many different points, PSG is very domineering, they always got 3 points. no equal opponent so far.

Lyon got a red card 15 minutes into the first half against Lorient. And Lorient scored 5 minutes later. The first half ended with Lyon losing. I literally thought the game was a losing game already for Lyon. But, Lyon equalize the match 5 minutes into the second half. And the match ended in 1-1 draw. Although, they later got 2 more yellow cards. Lyon indeed performed well. But they have played 8 matches, but only won 3. I think they have to work on their performance. While, Lorient has also won 3 matches, but currently at the 4th position on the standings.
A good result for PSG in fact to see them both dropping 2 points each Wink
Now the difference between PSG and the others is 10 points without considering the missing games of the actual and previous rounds.. OM and Lens is a tough game and we might see further points drop!

Not get good service and support for Messi faced difficult how to make assist and goal for PSG, but I think he can do anything when get chance, I am not really miss with Lionel Messi performance but waiting when my favorite player Sergio Ramos back on the field and play for PSG again, most waiting when his first match for PSG on this season because longer time not see Ramos playing again.

Lille being the defending champions, they are performing very poorly this year.  I wonder what rank they'll be in as the season ends.
Having achieved the same performance as Lille in the previous season, I had a lot more expectations from them this season. I thought they will fight for the title against PSG. But at the end of 8 matches, PSG has 24 points while Lille has only 11 points. They are 13 points behind PSG. PSG will now be the champions in Ligue 1, with other teams vying for second and third place in the points table.
Yes you are right. Last year, when they finished the league champions ahead of Paris SG, I thought the expectations were higher this year too. Although they kept the main team squad overall, Paris SG's great signings this year seemed to herald that they would not be champions for Lille this year. I thought they would be second though. Their poor performance this year has been a disappointment for me.

Lille has not been able to maintain the continuity of performance this season. My guess is that the Champions League is more important than Ligue 1 this season for Lille. They want to do a little better in the Champions League. There is no stronger team in their group in the Champions League. If Lille performs a little better, they will be able to go to the next round. So maybe the Lille team is now focused on the Champions League.

Paris SG had 8 wins in 8 matches. After the transfers, such a statistic was expected by many people. Messi has not yet delivered what was expected. I don't see a team in the French league that can beat a Paris SG team where Messi shows himself better. Despite Lille being the defending champions, they are performing very poorly this year.  I wonder what rank they'll be in as the season ends.

It was a productive day for nearly all the favourite sides today. Only Lyon couldn't succeed in defeating Lorient home and the match finished 1-1. But the reason why was that Lyon played with ten players since the 15th minute. PSG defeated Montpellier 2-0 by a proper performance. Lille won 2-1 against Strasbourg and Nice also were the winner side against St Etienne 3-0 away. And Monaco also can defeat Clermont tomorrow I believe.

Lorient's performance is more stable than Lyon's this season. Even if it is a home match for Lyon, it will not be easy to defeat Lorient. In this match I thought there would be a draw, my guess was right and I won the bet. On the other hand, the performance of Lille and PSG was also expected. PSG have been able to continue their winning streak. They have managed to score 24 points in 8 matches. Although Lille is not in form, they are now trying their best to get on the truck.

PSG maintained their win streak and it is 8 games now! They had a home game against Montpellier and they got another decent win by 2-0 here. Messi was still having a knee injury. And unfortunately we don't know when he will be able to bounce back from it. So, this means that he won't be able to play against Manchester City too. Even though he is still having difficulty in adapting to the team, he is still Messi and we don't know when he will start playing better.
Messi still has a lot of time to recover from his injury and start showing his skills, because it's only the beginning of the season. Moreover, Paris Saint-Germain is still steadily gaining points in the championship even without the direct participation of the Argentine, so this is not so important yet. However, Nice and Marseille still have matches in reserve to get closer to the leader, although of course the gap continues to grow. It will undoubtedly be a big loss if Messi does not play against Manchester City, because it is no secret that the player was invited to the club precisely for a successful performance in the Champions League and finally winning an honorary trophy.

Lille performance this season has been much different from that of Lille who won the title last season, since Lille was left by the coach who led them to Ligue 1 champions, namely Christophe Galtier at the end of last season, Lille performances have continued to decline and make them now in 14th position with only two win from 7 games, in my opinion if lille performance this season doesn't improve, it's not impossible that they will end this season in the relegation zone.

Yup, I actually didn't really listen to the French league before Messi's arrival to PSG. I only know that PSG are second and Lille are champions. But if you look at Lille's line-up it seems they haven't changed much. They have won the Trophée des Champions with a new coach. But, I look at Jocelyn Gourvennec profile the new Lille manager, he's actually been coaching since 2008.

Has he not been able to make Lille better?
Lille is shocking champion of last season but still they are in current season their start was not good after 8 matches just 11 points and at 8th spot is clearly saying their all story of this season hopefully they will do some better in next half of season if they want to stay at top of French Ligue which is very tough for now because few other teams also doing very good specially Marseille who is second and have some good results.

Today again PSG is struggling to score goals as they are playing against Montpellier with Neymar De Maria and Mbappe they have very low scoring shots which is not good for them as they need to win some good number of trophies in this season.

PSG have won their 8th league game too against Montpellier by 2-0. Gueye and Draxler scored the goals. There was a more balanced game in the second half but Montpellier couldn't benefit from this. PSG are already aware that they are going to have a very comfortable season and I don't have an idea about even how many win streak they will have the most. They are and must be fully focused on the Champions League now. Because this could be their biggest chance to make it to the title while having Mbappe-Messi-Neymar trio.

Maybe something will change, but I have not yet seen any advantages from this trio, on the contrary, only tension. And by the way, PSG won today quite confidently despite the fact that Messi did not play, I wonder how soon he will heal his knee injury and will we see him in the upcoming Champions League match?

Paris Saint-Germain win without their stars scoring, they win without Messi. Even if they don't score many goals, they still win, they always win in every way. They won all 8 matches. Ligue 1 is played as if it were played, it is clear who will win in the end. Last year Lille did a great job as being the champion. It looks like this cannot be repeated. Paris Saint-Germain will continue to embargo the French league. It sometimes bored me, I was excited when Messi come but right now Ligue 1 is just an ordinary league for me.

In a statement, PSG confirmed Lionel Messi will not play against Montpellier on Saturday due to an injury. Messi ruled out playing another match in 4 weeks for PSG. He should have taken time off to treat the injury, and PSG is doing the right thing by being extra careful and not rushing to things. All good things come to those who wait. Therefore Messi should wait more for the celebration of his first goal at PSG.

I didnt see Messi get injured on the field against an opponent. Maybe thats why Pochetino subed him in the match before.
This is a big minus for PSG and they will have to play without him in the next couple of weeks. But with how many good players they have i dont think it will be a problem for them

Messi's injury is not a problem for PSG even they want to keep Messi wanting to recover after suffering his knee injury I think this is to make messi's health even more perfect.
Well for PSG this is not a problem for one of the injured players because they have a lot of reserves because I have no doubt that Pochettino will not be bothered even if he is ready with other talented players.
But well, in the domestic league, it is still consistent with the victory, it just needs more extra when in the UCL because the opponent is so tough.
with a squad that incidentally is a capable player, Mauricio Pochettino will not be too bothered by it considering that there are still some very competent names on the bench.
there are several names that will indeed benefit when he is also injured, for example, such as Achraf Hakimi and Icardi who are indeed up to now even though for the current season they still have to take turns even on the bench, but their performance is quite good.
but when i read this news i was actually interested in something, because as long as i know the world of football i just heard that messi was injured because i had never heard of it before when he was in barcelona.
Is it true that messi's age has become a problem for his body now?
