Gianluigi Donnarumma can be one of the biggest opportunities for PSG after Lionel Messi. They managed to sign Donnarumma for free also after he decided not to extend his contract with Milan. They are really lucky that they have this young and this much talented goalkeeper by not even paying a transfer fee. But I know also that PSG don't care about the money. It is like they are printing money.  Grin  I hope to see Donnarumma in their starting eleven also as soon as possible. He deserves the place.

Donnarumma is a very talented goalkeeper. He is 22 years old but he already deserves to be in the starting eleven of whatever team he goes to. I also doubt whether PSG are the right club for him at least for now. Because Keylor Navas' performance is still very high. I don't think that PSG will suddenly cut him off from the starting eleven. Donnarumma might not find the chances he want so quickly.
Donnarumma is indeed a talented Goalkeeper. His performance in the Euro 2020 was impressive. He kept 3 clean sheet in 7 appearance, and conceded only 4 goals. But, with the presence of  Keylor  Navas in PSG, it will be difficult for Donnarumma to participate in many match, because Navas will be keeping in most PSG match. He should have  gone to another club, were he won't be beached.

That's why I think that PSG are not the best team for Donnarumma. I think that he should look for another big team as long as Keylor Navas are the main goalkeeper here. Navas never seems like he will be out-of-form at least for now. In this case, there is literally no way Donnarumma taking his place in the starting eleven. And as long as he just waits in the subs, it will affect his career badly also.
he did concede a lot of goals though in the first 3 matches, I am not saying that all of the goals were his fault but he could have managed to prevent some of them, so Donnarumma can add a lot to PSG and maybe even take Navas's place, he didn't come to the team to stay on the bench, but he must earn it and show what he's capable of in his first appearances.

I do not get it, I do not think that Donnaruma is a player that you put on the bench, I do not care who you have as your main goalkeeper. I mean honestly do you guys really think that Navas is a better goalkeeper? I believe that Donnaruma was taken to be played and he should be playing, Navas could be a bench player that plays in certain league matches and mainly in cup games but when it comes to most league matches and UCL then it should be Donnaruma that plays.

Even at his age he is a better goalkeeper right now if you ask me and if they keep him playing and happy then he could potentially give them 15 seasons easily because goalkeepers age a lot gracefully then most other positions. That is of course just my idea, and we will see what pochettino will do with him.

I agree with you definitely. Donnarumma can be only the main goalkeeper of a team as long as his performance doesn't get worse. He is already one of the best goalkeepers in today's football despite his very young age. But Navas' great form prevents him from being PSG's number one goalkeeper. For now, it looks like he will wait for his time to come. Maybe we can see Donnarumma in their Champions League matches and in the Ligue 1 matches later.

Donnarumma and Navas are both skilled goalkeepers. Navas may be good form now but Donnarumma is also experienced enough. We have seen how good a goalkeeper he is in the Euro cup. PSG has taken him to the team at a cost of 60m for his outstanding performance. The coach may now give both of them a chance to play, playing Navas in one match and Donnarumma in the next.
The coach can use the services of these two talented goalkeepers in two different competition. I just think that this is the best choice for a coach when he has two of the best goalkeepers in one team. Navas can play in Ligue 1, while Donnarumma can play in the Champions League. It would be fair to these two goalkeepers in my opinion. This is quite common for other big teams like Barcelona and some other teams.
Since his departure to PSG, Donnarumma has not played while Navas will continue to play for league 1 so it is possible to train to carry out such a strategy and Donnarumma is devoted to the more important champions league, but there is no doubt that both of them will definitely get a space which fits when in position to play.
The champions league will also be rolling so soon Donnarumma will definitely appear and I want to know how his first appearance will be.

Last champion Lille has started little bit shaky I think, although their player 'the king' Burak Yilmaz already scored two times, he is quite old and I find it very doubtful that he can continue his performance throughout the season. Of course PSG is the biggest name for the championship and they already have 12 points in 4 games. I expect this year they might have an easy title after the last year's disappointment.
Lille performance since the season began haven't been impressive. They have played 4 matches so far and was able to win only 1. While they drew 2 and lost 1. I don't think they will achieve any title this season if they continue like this. Last season was a successful one for them, they won the Ligue 1 with a point ahead of PSG. While PSG have been doing real good this season, with the presence of Messi and their squad, they will surely achieve the Ligue 1 title, and also fight for the Champion League trophy.

Lille's form this season in the league is quite bad, because they have only won one win from 4 matches that have been played and of course this will make it difficult for them to be able to defend their title this season.
In my opinion, PSG is the team that has the most opportunity to win Ligue 1 this year, especially now that PSG have an MNM trio in their attack and obviously it will be very dangerous for the opposing club's defense.

Lille this season started a very bad, could only produce 5 points from 4 matches and now Lille are in 10th position. I also doubt that Lille will
successfully defend their title, this season Lille has been very difficult to compete with PSG, who achieved perfect results. PSG this season has
many new players, and it looks like PSG will dominate throughout this season, because of the 4 matches managed to win all the games.
PSG's front line is very productive, especially with the arrival of Messi, makes PSG very scary for other teams in Ligue 1. There is no doubt that
my prediction is that PSG will easily win Ligue 1, PSG's focus is to win the Champions League trophy. But looking at the list of players owned by PSG,
it should be with the many star players that PSG have, winning the Champions League trophy can be achieved.

I assume that PSG will focus on winning the Champions League title more than the Ligue 1 this season. Because they have a trio like Mbappe - Neymar - Messi now. As Mbappe will be leaving the team next summer most probably, maybe they won't find a this close chance to win the title later. But of course I don't mean that they will just let the Ligue 1 go.
Champions League is what PSG try to win and they will prioritize for it.

This will not affect their chance to win Ligue 1 because with players they signed in the summer, they have two squads that are very strong and both can help them to win Ligue 1.

Maybe it is not specifically Champions League games that is mentioned in the contract, but it could very well be that he was promised 10 games at least, for example. If not, it is definitely all about the money or Donnarumma was caught by surprise that Pochettino does decide to make Navas number one.
I think Pochettino can use Navas more in Champions League and Donnarumma more in Ligue 1. Because Navas has more experience in Champions League with Real Madrid. Donnarumma is a newbie in Champions League but I am not doubtful that he will be able to play well in CL. If Donna can play well in Euro 2020, he can do the same in CL.

I also wonder whether Donnarumma has some clauses in his contract for a guaranteed number of games or anything like that. Would he really sign a contract with PSG when he could expect to be sitting on the bench for a whole season? I also somehow think that there is something we don't know about yet regarding his contract details. Maybe he is going to play the champions league games? Or the Coup de France?
There only way otherwise would be a very weak Navas or an injury for Navas.
I think that such things as mandatory participation in Champions League games are unlikely to be prescribed in the contract, because this will greatly constrain the club in the matter of building a squad. I think that a large salary in itself is a strong argument for Paris Saint-Germain to use Donnarumma in the team's games. I also believe that Donnarumma is confident enough in his abilities to use the chances presented, and the chances will be provided by the coaching staff in any case. Navas has already faced a similar situation at Real Madrid, when Courtois joined the squad, who did not shine at all at the beginning of his career for the Madrid club, but he was constantly given chances to justify his large investments in the player.

Anyway, having two goalkeepers of that quality in your team can (and almost must!) cause a lot of friction, especially if both are in shape to play and be number one. It sounds like luxury, but it reminds me a little bit of ter Stegen's situation in Barcelona. I think it took him three years against Valdez to finally become number one. Is it worth it as a young high potential goalkeeper to sit on the bench for three years? At least ter Stegen did have his games every now and then.

Do these players have this term of guaranteeing a number of games one can have signed up in their contracts? I doubt it , imagine a player gets injured and they are unable to deliver on their part of the agreement  which they signed for,, this would certainly be a breach of contract...but the important thing is to just have Donnarumma have game time to allow him to grow and for Navas to rest instead of being benched all the time .

Exactly, he is not a goalkeeper to be put on the bench normally. But we know how great Keylor Navas' performance is now. In this case, PSG really don't have much choice rather than taking such action. Donnarumma might not get many chances for some time. Actually, they can create a formula like Navas and Donnarumma play consecutively considering each match. They shouldn't let Donnarumma just wait in the subs like that.

The quality is really big honestly. Navas is an amazing and experienced goalkeeper and had an amazing previous season.  Donnarumma was brought to PSG as the big future and will probobly play half of games and half Navas. But you cannot just remove Navas if he is doing amazing. Will need to wait a little longer to play honestly
